- Let me show you a Runner's knee/IT band friction syndrome evaluation and how to tease it out from a lateral meniscus tear and patella-femoral dysfunction. Quick and easy on a patient with an active Runner's knee.
Such a great video, thank you!
I could’ve used you when I tore my it band when I was in the army. It hurt so bad for so long. The doctors thought I was faking it because I could move my knee just fine but when I stopped moving my knee, my entire leg seized up end I had shooting pain everywhere. They told me to just not do anything and avoid running. But I had training to pass and if I was injured and couldn’t pass the training I would’ve been stuck on that base forever. Luckily I passed the rest of my training and we had 30 days of leave scheduled right after so I healed my leg then. I couldn’t believe how clueless the doctors and med techs were.
How’d u solve it?
@@usuduhdhhdj1378 I didn’t walk or move for 30 days ish after and after the 30 days I started to walk around.
Great video and great explanation. Thank you very much.
I was diagnosed with runners knee I stopped running for over 6weeks,physio told me to try 2short runs but I have a sharp pain if knee jerks a certain way,it feels like a band over my kneecap snaps.i have full movement no pain when being examined but yet get that uncomfortable jolt if knee moves a certain way. I have a feeling I got a misdiagnosis as I have rested for nearly 2months. Can you shine some light on it doc I need to get back running. Thank you for this video
What's the treatment?
I have the same symptoms with it catching on my kneecap when lifting leg
What if the outside of the knee feels like its on fire when bending it ?
Im the opposite of everything you just mentioned. I can’t bend my knee in like that’s and if I were to twist in the way you did I would be in pain. Might that be a meniscus tare? I head a loud pop in my outter knee right where you mentioned he is not tender.
I have tenderness/ air bubble feeling on the outer side of my left knee when I bend it. I feel pain when I go down steps and I also feel pain when I squat. Any advice?
Hello am currently having this problem did u end up solving it?
@@usuduhdhhdj1378 I solved my grinding by using a rolling massager on my quads on the side quad and front. After two days the grinding and popping pain stopped. My quads felt looser. I also strengthened my vmo with squeezing an elastic ball in between my legs. The roller massager is $5 and elastic ball from 5 below
@@usuduhdhhdj1378same, keeping an eye
I have this giant ball of a meniscus cyst or bursitis.....ortho says it's just a soft tissue injury but it won't go away even after lateral meniscus tear surgery debirdement. I wish you could see it and help me. I want to skate again😢
Hope you feel better soon!
