I'm an EE/CE who gets referred to as the "computer guy" on a regular basis. It makes no difference to me because I'm the "go to guy" when we need a new plan, or to fix something that has gone south. It is what it is imho. Great video btw. Tactic decisions almost always work in your favor.

Okay, so basically what you're saying is that we should show people your video instead of slapping them😂😂😂! But seriously though, it does not bother me when people call me xray Tech, radiologic technologist, because sometimes people even ask me what is my proper title. But I really love it when they ask me how I got into the field because they want to do it too! So no, it doesn't bother me at all😁

LOL... yeah, I wouldn't slap anyone either. I would say it bothers me around a 4 on a scale of 1-10, only because I truly believe we need to promote the profession and there IS a difference. I also look at the context the terms are used as well. 9 times out of 10 (in my experience at least) it's not necessarily intended to insult, and there may not be value in schooling someone at the moment, plus the term "radiologic technologist" is a mouth-full. Great profile pic BTW!

Jeremy Enfinger ........Right!? I'm not trying to lose my job 😅. I would say on a scale of 1 to 10, it bothers me at a 3. But on my badge it says Radiologic technologist, so when they ask, I show them my badge, and explain......but you know what really bothers me, is when I say "hi my name is Julia", and they say "hi Julie!" 😣😫😖😬. Now that takes me to a 10😂😂😂! And you're absolutely right, we do need to promote the profession! I know I do my part to people who are really interested. Like you said in your video, most people are concerned about what issue they might have going on to even care, and i agree. I have seen some techs get really irritated too, but if the pt. is nice, it doesn't bother me.
Thank you😁. I wish I could find this pic for my clip badge, lol. I also see you have new vids posted! And its for my favorite......skull work, lol.

Yes... more of those are coming. I'm teaching skull positioning this semester and the basic anatomy/positioning videos are going up first, but I'm also going to be doing some more in-depth image critique, and possibly updating some of my older videos too... stay tuned!

A Nurse I work with kept calling me a technician so I told him RN stands for refreshments and narcotics. He never called me a technician again.

LOL... be careful though. We all need to support one another from time to time. Don't burn any bridges with your nursing colleagues!

I was recently appointed as technologist in a machine manufacturing company where am working for 5 years now. I was expecting a term named as 'lead' or some name which had some weight. But my bosses told me technologist is a term used in Western countries for experts and they are much in demand there. I being in India is not much happy with this post as here nobody knows the meaning of this post.
Either they genuinely think I was capable of this post or they didn't want to give me any good position. I am confused 😄

I understand what you mean... unfortunately, I can't speak for terminology or practice in India. In the U.S. there are specific indications for the terms, but each country differs, and sometimes quite a lot.

Technologist is a super technician with degree

Nope... there's a distinguishable difference between a "technician" and a "technologist", the latter being a medical professional.

This is like saying a teacher is just a tutor with a degree, which is wrong.
