  • Claudio Castagnoli started his wrestling journey on the European independent wrestling scene in 2000 and in 2004 would start making regular appearances for Ring of Honor and other American promotions.
In Ring Of Honor Claudio would have a notable feud with Nigel McGuinness in 2005 and would start teaming with Chris Hero in 2006.
Hero had been the one to originally invite Claudio to the United States back in 2004 and they would team together often in other promotions as part of the Kings Of Wrestling Stable.

Claudio has the one of, if not THE most underrated Wrestler of all time. He's got tons of talent and should honestly be a main eventer and World Champion in AEW

Awesome vid. Watching the mishandling of Cesaro in real time was so different. There's no way to encapsulate that frustration into a 20 minute video. It is reminiscent of so many frustrations of that era like, the Daniel Bryan struggle, Ziggler, and, dare I say, the CM Punk push. Even though, in retrospect, punk got his just due.

@@deon3133 Awwww look who's butthurt!!! The fact that you insinuate that cutting good promos is a must shows how little you know about the history of pro wrestling. Sheamus can't cut a promo to save his life either, and that didn't stop me from liking him, and that didn't stop WWE from pushing him.

@@platinumpagoda3079 sheamus is way better at cutting promos than Claudio. Claudio just doesn’t have that it factor to put him at the top of the company. 'He wasnt projecting his presence enough,' whatever the fuck that means'
You make content are you gonna tell me you have no idea what projecting presence means? (Ie maximizing your presence, the perception of you, amidst everything else) wrestling fans, 99% of them disregarding the obvious flaws of their guys bc....they're a slightly hidden gem or didnt quite get the push they deserved is infuriating. Antonio was boring, not marketable, not interesting, and yes the creative didnt help but he wasnt a top guy, he failed at that.

@joemamaluke it's not about how I feel really, he seems happy with what is happening now and he literally just won a belt that many top guys in the company have held not to mention the ROH World championship so I'd say it's going much better so far...

As long as workers work and get compensation it should be enough. But we all want our guys to shine even though we don't own the companies

  • @slamdangles

WWE refusing to put him in a top spot is really what hurt him, overall. He was in 3 tag teams that were awesome, he ALWAYS showed out and yet they just didn't put him where he belonged. Now he's in AEW and isn't neaaaarrrllly as over as he was in WWE.
    Real Americans was awesome.
Cesaro and Tyson Kidd was fucking great
The BAR was a top tier tag team
If he went back today, he might get the push he really deserves, or at the very very least be in the mix with the main event talent.
