About :
This is my video review of the ZenUI 6 on Asus Zenfone 5Z which is running on stable Android 10. I have tried to keep the video as short and detailed as possible.
Specifications:
It has a 6.2 inch Full HD+ IPS display.
It has the Snapdragon 845 underneath along with 6/64, 6/128 and 8/256 gigs of RAM and Internal Storage respectively.
It sports a 3,300mAh battery.
It has a 12mp rear OIS+EIS camera and a secondary 8mp 120-degree wide angle camera. It also has an 8mp selfie snapper.
It is running on ZenUI 6.0 which is based on Android 10.

**IMPORTANT UPDATE**
If you are not getting the notification to update after restarting your phone then it is probably because you have downloaded the wrong version(WW or JP). For most of you, the firmware which was uploaded on 26/12/2019 (WW version) will work.
Now this happens because as Asus uploads a new firmware/file on the website, the previous one goes down the list. So I request you to *PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE CORRECT VERSION BEFORE DISLIKING THE VIDEO*.

Hello.
This is regarding bottom speaker issue on my Zenfone 5Z. A week ago i noticed this problem with my 5z' bottom speaker. Earphone (both wired & bluetooth) working fine but suddenly when i disconnect those earphones from my phone, sound just comes from upper speakers not from bottom speaker.
This is happening frequently now. Bottom speakers are working as per their wish.

It will work for sure. As you are from India too, you need to download the WW version file, JP version file will not work. Let me know if you are still confused.

I have a question, I'm not using the Zenfone 5z but the Zenfone 5 and I want to lock my bootloader to get back play protect certification. If I download the Android 10 beta for Zenfone 5 and then downgrade back to Android 9 will that relock my bootloader?
Nope, it will not relock the bootloader. You can search on XDA developers website, you might find a way to relock.

Considering to do the downgrade as i just got my zenfone 5Z updated to android 10 few days ago and the performance is horrible. The battery drain is just unacceptable and it heats up even though im not using the phone, it behave perfectly before the update so i really appreciate this tutorial for the downgrade. Hope android do something to the update soon....

There are multiple updates, so it's better to visit service centre, they will update your phone for free.

Asus has deleted the downgrade and all ROM/BIOS files from there website.

All I had was official links, don't have any other sorry. Also be cautious of non-official links, they can compromise your phone.

An update came yesterday but I need some time to test it. Some people are having Bluetooth audio issues with it. If you can wait for 3-4 days (which I need to test this build properly) then that would be good.

Change the auto update setting to check and update manually. Not sure if it's going to work, but give it a try. And do let me know!

I had put downgrade file to internal storage and restart the device . But no notification appers for downgrade
You need to download the 2nd file which was uploaded on 26/12/2019 (WW version). Asus uploaded a new file on the website which is for a different region, so when they upload a new file, the older one goes down the queue. Try it and do let me know then!

I'm having problems with network on phone,
It is showing no service in both sim cards, and when I transfer the sims to another phone it shows the network. Please help me out. I also had same problem in android 9 but I later got it solved with service center, but now they aren't helping me coz it is out of warranty. Please help me @OnceUponATechie
Are you on Android 9 or 10? If you are on 10 then try downgrading it, it might fix the issue. I don't know about any fix for no SIM detected, a lot of people are facing it after the Android 10 update. If downgrading doesn't help then all you can do is pay to the Asus service centre to reinstall the firmware. You can also try hard reset, just Google "how to hard reset smartphone".

For network error issues downgrading will not help as I have from other users. You need to take it to the service centre for that.

Remember don't put the file into any folder, don't unzip the file and make sure the name of the file isn't changed. If it still doesn't work then maybe Asus have changed something in the current firmware which stops you from downgrading.

Yeah I understand your issues, many people are them. Personally, I have not downgraded to Android 9 because I am not facing all of them. If you downgrade, you will lose all the data, so you need to make a backup (mentioned in the video too) and most probably the issues should get resolved.
And there's no date on the new update release.

@@minhasmohammed1220 they are helping, they are already working on the stable update of Android 10 and in the meantime they gave the downgrade firmware. I know taking backup is not ideal but this happens with other companies too, phones even get bricked!

I have faced soft brick twice while flashing custom recovery, so I don't have plans to flash a custom ROM yet.

@@jaichetry you need to download the 2nd file now. As Asus uploads ne firmware the older ones go gown the list. You have downloaded the JP version which is not for Indian region. Download the WW version file which was uploaded on 26/12/2019. At the time of making this video, the file was on top. I have pinned a comment too. Hope this helps.

Bro you need to go to the service centre for this, tell them it happened because of the Android 10 update, they will install the software for free, but you will lose the data.
When you open recent apps the app restart and it's very annoying..
Go to developer options and search for the option 'don't keep activities', turn it off if it is on. Also, check the option below it 'background process limit' and switch it to 'standard limit'. If all these things doesn't work, then downgrading is the only option left. And do let me know if this works!

Yeah it would automatically set to airplane mode ,charged quite slow, battery backup dipped its been sitting in the service center for 6 days now.
