I've just started watching watching this women's tournament and find it very enjoyable. Some great plays and these women are tough. Not once have i seen a batter try to move out of the way getting hit by a pitch. They stand and take it like it's nothing! Amazing.

Baylor observation. If your lead off batter is a home run hitter why not bat her 3rd up?
that’s the classic old school way of thinking, Baylors lead off has speed and power, and also consistency, so essentially if she gets on it’s a win and if she hits a bomb it’s a win and an amazing way to set the tone for the game, overall it’s very common for this nowadays
Wouldn't it be better to hit a homerun with 1or 2 already on base?
@@SelwynKing-kn2ik definitely, but if she also leads in OBP, she’s the most likely to get on, and could also hit a bomb, it’s a win win, sets the tone for her team and gives them a lead or a runner on. baylor also had a few other home run hitters, and their power numbers may be there but there obp may not be as good, so why not put a solid hitter who can also hit a home run at the top and is most likely to get on base, and then follow it up with pure home run hitters?
