3 Reasons to Do Your Eye Makeup First

The order you apply makeup is personal preference, but here are my top 3️⃣ reasons to do your eye makeup first!
1️⃣ Easy cleanup! If you’re someone who doesn’t apply shadows perfectly or gets a little sloppy when applying to the outer corner (most of us, right?!), you run the risk of messing up your foundation! You’ll either need to be a little more precise with your application or you’ll need to apply concealer/foundation to help clean up the mess. This means extra product under the eyes. YIKES! If you do your eyes first, it’s an easy cleanup before applying your foundation.
2️⃣ Fallout. Yep that extra shadow may fall to the undereye or inner corner when you’re applying and blending. If you like using darker shades or ever purples, blues and browns, that fallout can collect in your foundation and appear as undereye discoloration! NOOOOO! You’ll try to wipe it away but it may smudge so you may have to add more product under the eye to cover. That means more layers under the eyes which leads to creasing! If you apply first, you’ll be able to wipe away any fallout before starting your foundation!
3️⃣ Mascara Mishaps! I end up with mascara in all kinds of places so why run the risk of having to scratch it away with a spoolie and mess up my foundation?! Not to mention adding precious time to my routine waiting for it to dry to be able to remove. If you apply it before foundation, you can clean up any mishaps and then continue with your makeup routine!
