  • Enjoy our visitor's guide to the bunker sites, memorials, and buildings in the Juno Beach D-Day landing area in Normandy.
Located around the towns of Courseulles-sur-Mer and Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer, Juno was the landing site for thousands of Canadian troop on June 6, 1944 and features many large gun casemates, shelters, observations posts and multiple machine gun positions - many of which can be visited today.
In this video you'll get to see the sites from above with our exclusive drone footage, plus you can take a tour through one of the rarest bunker types ever built on the Atlantikwall.

My ex mother-in-law was a canadian wren who was posted over to the uk for d day, she was engaged to a canadian soldier who was killed on juno beach ( first wave in) she married a british soldier after the war ,who landed on gold beach (Second wave in) she was called merlin mathews and my father-in-law was called harry (joesph ) easton . Two outstanding individuals who never bared a grudge to the enemy !even though my father-in-law was hideously disabled with a hump back due to being shot in the back whilst lying injured. They simply were our greatest generation

Great video, to often the Canadian's get forgotten, but as your detail from B coy RWR having 78 per cent casualties, they paid a heavy price and advanced further inland then anyone by end of day . They also defeated the only real counter attacks over the next few days.

Great vid, thank you. Both special and sad reminders from the past. But all who fell will never be forgotten regardless of nationally.
A real shame today for humanity that some fail to learn from our history.

Thank you for watching and leaving a comment. Hopefully our videos will ensure the current and next generation never forgets the sacrifice made by those who gave everything for our freedom.
