Glad the trackball and buttons are getting better. Also having a light up coin door is a nice feature. They seem to be giving us more features for the same amount of money.
just picked it up at our costco, cant tell you how many lunch hours turned in extended lunches playing golden tee. our family and friends wore out 2 of the little crappy golden tee games that you could plug into the tv via rc cables at our game night ritual, drinking beer, talking smack and having a blast. they are gonna crap when i get this thing set up. please dont hate on me, our family and friends just love playing golden tee and having fun.
To be fair, the control scheme on the original arcade machine was unwieldy as well lol, pretty sure on purpose. I put plenty of quarters in it in my youth.
@@jombeemeanstroke6426 I have a Paperboy cabinet and as long as you maintain the handlebars, they're fine. If you neglect them for years in an arcade, the game does become impossible to play. Just gotta maintain what ya have. And the handlebars had buttons so you could control and throw and throw at the same time. Using two different hands to steer and then also a separate throw button is just UGH! Just leave the game off the cabinet 😁
@@RichieCavsRetrocade This is how I felt about the Defender game on the Rampage cab. I bought that cab just for Defender and was so disappointed in the unwieldy control scheme, I sold it within a couple months of buying it. Glad I got it used.
@@danidavis7912haha. Absolutely! I had that and that was awful! But that Rampage cab was also the first generation cabinets they did. Man, I just checked the weather in Arizona. I can’t believe it’s like 110° for like a week straight. If we get a few 90° days in a row in New York that’s considered a heat wave lol we may hit 9596 a few times a year, but that’s it, that seems extreme now you have me wanting to go visit out there
with the way paperboy plays on that thing I shudder to think how it does defender! if I had the space/money I'd have probably gone with one of the other ones. but the rest of the pinball looked fun at least.
The combination just doesn't make any sense. All I wanted was a delux classic MK2 cabinet with NBA Jam and the MK guest characters unlocked. And maybe some violent beat-em-ups like Narcs. But Nba makes the most sense, even with the button layout.
@@PDubsArcadeLoft Well I can tell you from standing next to it, it is much taller than I expected, which is nice when you are 6' 3". I already have Class of 81, but it was very tempting. My kids loved the light up drink holders.

As far as Sinistar being playable try picking up crystals to make sinibombs. It's harder with an 8 way stick by far. I have it on my MKII cocktail table. Paperboy should not have even been tried without handlebars. Playing with an 8 way stick on my Midway Legacy cab is near impossible.
@@domeshtan1677 yep we've said for years that Arcade1up should just STOP putting Paperboy and Defender on these Midway Arcades but they always do. Maybe it's a licensing thing they have to put it on there. Sinister is a newer one they are trying to include.
@@PDubsArcadeLoft Sinistar is on my MKII arcade 1Up cocktail table and the Defender Partycade I think was the other one. Defender plays decent enough on the Midway Legacy 1Up and MKII coctail 1Up with the MK style button layout. The buttons are close enough where it is not uncomfortable to learn.
