Daniel Arms from Arms Family Homestead suggested to follow your page and honestly my thought was I'm not mechanic so I didn't know if I'd like it. I have to say I love what you do and the kids being involved. Stay positive, you're doing a great job! ❤❤
Looking awesome great job Jack and Kent.
Thanks 👍
It's so funny that you don't consider yourself a mechanic, a builder, or a fabricator, carpenter... Because you've got me fooled!
I'm pretty good at the "Fake it tell you make it" mind set lol
Probably a jack of all traits master of none
Thanks for the safety tips for welding. Like you, I am always super protective of my eyes and ears in the shop, welding, grinding, drilling, sanding, etc.. Shop safely is money in your pocket. Getting injured is expensive in all sorts of ways!
Enjoying this family project Kent. 😊
Looks very nice. You’ve got a great helper in Jack. So cool that he’s getting hands on training. Can’t wait to see the next update. Great job guys !!
Thanks!
Man can’t wait to see how this turns out! Thanks for sharing.
You and me both! Thanks for watching
Appreciate you showing specifically how you are doing each step. Very cool.
Thanks for watching!
It’s looking awesome. I hope it all goes smooth.
I hope so too! Thanks
Another AWESOME video Kent. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE EACH STEP. LOVE seeing the whole family involved in the earlier videos
Thanks! Everyone will be back on it soon
great safety message man! proud of you for passing that on to the next generation!
thanks man. Teach the culture from day 1
Looking good! This is exciting to see you and your boys (wife too) transforming this bus into a great project.
Thanks!
Kent, it looks so good. I CAN’T WAIT to see it finished.
Me too!
Thanks for another , Brother !!
Thanks for watching
looking forward to next episode. great job on the floor
Thanks!
Love the project. I would love to do this project. The last project I did was many years ago. I converted a UPS truck into a mini camper. I loved the head room.
I kinda had my doubts about this in the beginning, but you’ve turned me into a Skoolie believer! I can’t wait to see the progress you guys make on this bus!
I would have to say your son is a Jack of all trades. ❤❤
Your sons are getting the best education you could ever give them.
Absolutely
That kid is learning a lot of good things….I wish my dad taught me stuff
All he did was beat me down and treat me like trash.
Sorry to hear that mate. Hope ur ok now ❤
Great video Kent!! I love watching your son, Jack on his channel!!
Nice father - son activity. Great job with much thought given to your plan. Look forward to more.❤😂
I sure am glad you decided to convert Schoolie to an RV. Good prep work sure should eliminate future problems. It’s looking good.
Thanks Lee
Looking good 👌🏽👍🏼🇬🇧🇬🇧
Thanks!
It really looks nice Kent. You and Jack did an amazing job 😊❤❤❤❤
You look like Kent Vader with that welding hood on 😛
I'm really looking forward to this Skoolie project! 👍👍
Lol thanks for watching
Love watching you and Jack working on the bus conversion together. Looks good so far. Can't wait to see the next step and the finished project. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
Thanks 👍
You’re setting Jack up to be successful no matter what field he goes into because he’s such a hard worker.
Can't argue with success ! -- Most Importantly ---- STAY SAFE GUYS !
Ps ---- HAPPY PAPPY'S DAY KENT !
Thanks!
Yep when you first mentioned "galvanized" I said NO KENT, NO!.... but then remembered you know what you're doing much more that I do! LOL.... Bus is looking great. I'm loving this video series! Gonna get some of that rust primer for my K5 Blazer build....thanks for that heads-up!
That primer had good reviews and went on really easy! I think it would be a good option for the floor of the blazer if you can get all of the bed liner out!
Love the family project. It's cool to see the progress each time. No doubt you guys will enjoy it much more, since you built it.
I think so too! Thanks
Looking good!!
Thanks!
Great job guys. Looks good. Take care..❤
Thank you! You too!
that bus is moving along.
We are about to get to the hard parts!
I took most of my windows out filled with galvanized sheet metal the ones I kept were the emergency windows that you could make tip out so you can put tip them straight out but sticks and hold them and you can have your window open while it was raining Add to cut out some of the rusted steel worlds of men but I still put the 1" stir from on the floor and then I put the plywood over top of it
Before I could paint the bus to even have the paint to come and paint the outside bus I had to wash the whole bus down with vinegar to get paint stick to galvanized metal
For a paintster I used to know a beater egg beater 11 of them well did it rod on to it you just hook it up to the girl like you didn't
Looking good
Thanks 👍
You have a good helper
Looks good
Thanks
Jack might have a side business after UA-cam. Great job on the floor. Definitely be careful with welding galvanized!
Those fans did the trick this time
Just started watching you guys, and I find this very enjoyable, Definitely will continue watching you guys and good luck
It looks really good.
SBG Family - You Rock !
Kent, I've used this product many times for many years. One of the things I've used it on is railings. A lot of people hate to paint these hand rails. Cleaning the railings first is important. The coating with this red stuff is good for several years. The top coat will last many years.
People have done this before, you might search for video that they can discuss what mistakes they made or what they would do differently. Excited to see what you guys do with it.
Looking good. Can't wait for the next episode.
Thanks Bradley!
We need to see more videos on this!
I know you had mentioned any suggestions to send in your comments..i will add mine..I am sure you thought about this but if it were me and it was my build i would keep in mind on my conversion to add as many portable and convertible things as possible..example.. like turning a chair into a table..As a shop project in school once i found plans and made a simple chair that folds into a step ladder..A desk could be made that collapses into a a flat panel to create a space saver when not in use..Simple ideas like this when working within a confined space to give you maximum use of an area inside your camper would be ideal..Looking inside some of the newer campers would help give you some great ideas for your build..
Nice job guys me I would have just use some quarter 20s bolts with nuts flat tops
I thought about running the seat bolts back in all of the holes but decided to just weld them up
My Dad built two school bus campers. In both, he took two of the large seats and mounted one right behind the driver's seat facing rear. He then built a table as square as the seats are wide. (window to isle) It had two mountings; one the height that would allow it to be used as a table and the other the same height of the seat. (The sitting part) Both mounts had one center post and latches to attach the table to the wall. He then mounted the second seat facing forward the same distance from the first seat as the table is square. In the higher position it was a dining/game table. In the lower position it was a bed (with a thin mattress laid across seats and table.)
Hi guys! Just a suggestion, when doing projects on the floor, use a yoga mat to kneel on. You can fold them in half or thirds, etc. Saves your knees. I use them gardening, or if I'm kneeling on the driveway. You can find them in thrift stores for $5.
Im at 20 year old male that rode a flat nose school bus numbered 164 when i was in elementary (it retired a long time ago now) after that the bus i rode was a Thomas c2 numbered 594 ( i reckon its still in service to this day or its retired idk). Im a new subscriber and found these bus videos.
You guys need to post more videos on tiktok! this is how i found your youtube. Great videos 💯 i enjoyed watching these videos! Need the next episode 😂
Thanks for coming over
@@SpeedBumpGarage no problem. I want to see a update on the bus if you guys are still working on it. You could install solar panels and a A/C unit like a RV that would be pretty awesome 👍
Kent, thanks for bringing us along to watch the skoolie progress. That cracked me right up when Jack had you second guessing yourself and wondering if the paint was primer for rusty metal or primer that was the color of rusty metal lol! Keep up the great work guys
Thanks 👍
My parents had a bus parked on a beautiful lake in Canada for years was super cool wish i had pictures of the layout.
was open front to back with a toilet and sink closed off in the back with closet built beds with storage under them cool kitchen area.
Look good keep up good work.
Looks great Guys! I bet the former bus driver and mechanics would love to See how this turns out when you're done!
The former driver gave us her old keychain for the bus lol. She is really excited about it.
ohhh that's so cool! i can't wait to see it completed. hopefully you can bring it out to one of our cruise-ins and show it off @@SpeedBumpGarage
That primed floor looks so good!
Thanks for all the videos
Só satisfying painting the floor. Wish I had a family to do this with. This would be my dream. Having a bus to do up. Just have no money and no one to do it with 😭
Both your kids are hard workers.
i see the buss still has its cb radio don't remove that if anything that's a really cool thing to still have and to talk to people one
it is still in there!
Very excited for this project
Thanks!
When you get it complete heading to Seattle Washington and come see us
Maybe! That would for sure put it to the test lol
greetings from Ireland loving the transformation from bus to camper keep up the good work
That's going to be a large RV. Love your and Jack's channel.

You guys are doing an amazing job!
Thanks!
You go guys! Keep it up ❤ from me in Port Elizabeth Eastern Cape South Africa 🇿🇦
This family’s awesome!!!!
I stole a couple of mixer beaters from my wife’s backup mixer, added 5 inches to the shaft of one, chuck the big ones up for gallons, short one for quarts. ( I did fess up before she was looking for them)
Great job on floor
I sent you pictures of our layout. Love watching you and your family.
Thanks again!
❤
What an awesome project is it me or is Jack getting quite tall of a sudden growing fast
He is growing for sure!
We laser cut galvanized and galvannealed materials where I work. The fumes can be bad as well as the smell.
You should use seats for outdoor theatre.
Added from your friends at Arms family
Love this video 😃😃😃
Would love to see more on it
👍🎯
Just watched Daniel at Arms Family Homestead. I came over to sub and support!!! I remember the watermelon videos he did! Good luck to yall, and may I say Tic Tock SUCKS.
Cool videos my best friends ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That would be so funny if that was just rusty color Lol 😂 you guys decided to go with black tank for the toilet?
I'm glad it wasn't just the color lol. I think we are doing a black tank
If you use silicone and you want to put a couple seats back in... A lot easier
Just came over a scribe to ur channel from recommendation from "DANIEL" from ARMS FAMILY FARM...
Thanks!
It’s been awhile since we’ve seen anything on the school bus. Any updates?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Need ep 3 🔥
If I had a skid steer I’d go to the mailbox everyday in it. Why? Because I’d have a skid steer!
lol it is pretty hard on the driveway
Everybody should wear ear protection my ears have rang constantly for the last 15 yrs. Some people can't tolerate it.
Very Nice JOB you Two
You and sleeper do ought to do a joint video
Didn't see the other videos so curious why the rubber flooring was removed
It was really dirty under it and we wanting to add insulation and wood for a subfloor
Is that Skoolie going to make its maiden trip to Ft Supply lake or Canton lake??
Not sure yet. Depends on the season that we finish it
Maybe NXT time instead of sweeping . Use a leaf blower ... Then moo the bus.
Since you a welder are you going to raise the roof and sheet metal the sides put rv windows in
I really want to!
Make sure you coat the roof as well.
hey when do you plan on doing a part three for the schoolie conversion
we need an update on the school bus
