- "Local Legends" meets 74-year-old Milada Dealo Valde, the culinary icon of Lucban, Quezon. Valde shows how to cook Hardinera as she shares her story, talking about her late husband and her short stay in the U.S. She also presents the story behind the 2016 Quezon Medalya ng Karangalan sa Sining at Kultura sa Kulinaryo that was awarded to her. The culinary legend also shares her goal to continuously promote Quezon cuisine. Quezon Tourism Council interim president Vladimir Agcaoili Nieto commends Valde’s cooking and determination to pass down her knowledge in cooking to the youth.

I'm proud that my mom is from Lucban ,I love everytime we came back from vacation dami laging food at pasalubong,specially the langonisa and I still carry the surname of the avenue in lucban. And I agree with Mrs. Valde na Hindi na kailangan Ang pampasarap when you know how to cook it right.

She looks like my mother, the way she speak, her smile, her eyes, and with the same passion in cooking

Amazing Lady! I have never had this particular dish, but I think I'd ask my family to send her Cookbook to me, so I can learn this. It's so tedious to prepare, but I know that it will taste delicious. I have never seen Taktak/ Bone Marrow that big. The fact that she shares all her recipes to the next generation, this makes me respect her even more. I love those colourful PAHIYAS (chandelier-like ornaments hanging from the ceiling) with which beside those is a painting of Pahiyas Festival.

oo lucban din siguro kasi kapag nauwi kami yun lagi niluluto sa amin, kinulob na kalabaw na may dilaw. halos 24hrs pinapakuluan yung kalabaw, totoong tumitiim ang lasa kapag slow cooking. nakakatakam tuloy 😂😂😂

Ok lng syempre mlaman nyo, pro may mga ng-uupload n ndi nla nillagay lhat ng pmpsarap kya it's up to you n mtutunan yon pti n measurement. Noong araw mhilig ako mgbsa ng mga recipe book pro style kp dn susundin ko at meron lng ako kukuning ibang style sa knila. Pra skn mas mainam n mtuto ka on your own kesa dumepende sa mga recipe book.
