did you use the concrete slab to support this hoop, instead of drilling down into the concrete floor? we may want to do the same thing.

We used a concrete slab just for showroom purposes. We would recommend that you use the footing that comes with the hoop to install it into the floor.

Hi, I looking to purchase a 72" I'm debating between this one and the megaslam. I really want to choose this system as it is very attractive and love the concept behind it. But I'm leaning towards the megaslam because the biggest proponent is the sturdiness. The MS is a rock, the videos I've seem on the Dom after just a jumpshot make the system wobble. Even on this video at 2:30 and 2:41. That little shot have the pole wobble some. That while frustrate the heck out of me. Please advise

This is a great comment and question. You are right, Megaslam makes a great product. However, there’s a few things that the Dominator provides that other basketball goal systems do not.
      1. Because the Dominator is made of aluminum, it is completely rust proof. Other systems use stainless steel that is either galvanized or anodized. The only issue is that eventually, rusts wins. The rust then weakens the system which creates excessive movement in the backboard on even the sturdiest hoops. The benefit of the Dominator is that it will never be corroded, meaning that you will have the same response from dunks and shots for as long as you have the hoop.
      2. The Dominator has a telescoping adjustment system instead of a parallel linkage system (all other basketball hoops adjust using a parallel linkage system). Because of the telescoping adjustment, when a ball hits the backboard or somebody dunks it, the entire system feels the force. Whereas in a parallel linkage system, most of the weight is felt on the pivot points and not necessarily on the system itself. This wears down the pivot points and creates more shaking in the hoop over time.
Hopefully this helps! Please reach out to us directly if you have any other questions.

@@Phenom-rl5pr Did you ever get a video or make up your mind on this between the MegaSlam? I had the same concerns, thanks!

@Stephen Blankenship hi, after months and months of going back and forth, I ended up going with the 72" adjustable megaslam. I was just delivered a week ago. I should have it installed in a week or 2. I will try doing a video. I'll keep you posted.
