I have the same problem with this cover! Every time I changed his diaper the velcro would be rolled up against his tummy and his skin would be red so I stopped using it.
I had the same question and I knew my community would also ask lol. Their answer was that it’s for extra protection against leaks out the front. It reminds me of the Thirsties duo wraps where the Velcro cover has an inner flap but the snaps does not. (Technically their snaps cover does have a flap in the front but it’s to reinforce the snaps). User guide videos like this are for companies to use as advertising, if they’d like. So I create these videos to the manufacturers recommendations ❤️ I always thought the front flap was for tucking, but Bambino Mio just personally don’t recommend doing it for their diapers.

I know you said you have a review coming but I've been eyeing the bambino mio cover off and on. My husband likes the ease of Velcro, but we cant find a Velcro cover that doesn't scratch our chonker. The edges are either wide and sharp or the tabs fold up. This has a fabric around the tabs so I thought maybe it might not be do irritating? She also has chunky legs so wasn't sure how gentle the elastics were. I know it takes a few months to really get to know a diaper, so if you respond I don't hold you accountable whether I love or hate it. Just was curious about any experience so far.
I don’t really use Fitteds, I just pad fold lol. I have 1 WAHM fitted that’s really huge, but I never use it anymore. It’ll really depend on the size of the fitted though. In the video I was using a luludew fitted on the doll and it’s a very trim fitted. There’s no extra flaps or inserts with it. That keeps the bulk of it down. The miosoft isn’t a cover that’s large in the back. Covers like Thirsties duo, buttons super cover, nickis, or imagine would be good with bulky absorbency. I find those covers to be baggy in the back so there’s extra room for big absorbency like Fitteds. This cover doesn’t have a lot of fabric in the back, so large Fitteds wouldn’t fit great over it due to the cut of this cover. Imo, this diaper is more of a trim fitting cover.

Maybe I missed it, but does anyone know how many layers the prefolds are? And also how long and wide they are too?
I love these but just couldn’t get the Velcro strip from scratching my baby. Love how they stretch and feel though.

Did the diaper cover come with the mio prefold when you ordered it or was it just the cover?
I just really couldn’t get into the AIO. Do you prefer these to the solo?
Yes, right now I am preferring the miosoft cover to the aio, but I do like the fit of the aio.
