Josh has had such a massive impact on GMM. He is so smart and so crazy funny. I love how humble he is about food, even though he has mad skills. He reminds me of Julia Child in the way that he makes cooking so much more accessible to average people. I love that he is getting the recognition he deserves!
Not to mention he genuinely understands good comedy. The mythical channel is so structured and scripted (when it has to be) but Josh is so good at joking off the top of his head and frustrating the others on set

I'm SO happy to see Josh is taking off!! Seriously one of THE most inventive chefs out there. Legit great energy and sense of humor. Now we just need a video with him and Gordon Ramsay.

I am sorry, he is charismatic, but how the f is he inventive? His creations are literally those of a high person who has late night munchies, but he's like a chef, right, he's supposed to be so much more than that!
@@shitlista4283 It takes a ton of knowledge and technique to make MOST of the things he does. If you watch his videos he will actually refer to those techniques. Having the imagination to be able to think outside of the box and put a crazy twist on those techniques is what makes him inventive. It's easy to yell at your TV from the couch when you're not the one on the field. He may make it look easy, but that's because he's got skill.
@@primitivebarbie2087 Not really, I watched at least 15 of his videos and he made some pretty uneducated statements. And I am not a chef by any means, I just watch a lot of cooking videos :) I can't think of examples at the moment, but think Jamie Oliver's mistakes in fried rice, as seen by uncle Roger. And what is so unique when his creations can easily be "tik tok hacks" by anyone who enjoys weed?
@@shitlista4283 it's weird that you're equating bringing everyday accessible foods and ideas to life to being a subpar chef and content creator 😭 he has an exetremely creative mind, has amazing experience in the field even if it's from informal learning, and is down to earth and relatable to an audience of people that most chefs don't cater to. it feels like u dislike him bc he doesn't have some imaginary prestige or seriousness u want him to have when in reality he is well deserving of all the success he's gotten and more

We learned so much about Josh from this, especially if you're someone that came to GMK later on. Home bar, he has a foodie girlfriend, he listens to death metal, ect. He's such a cool, chill guy and you can tell that he's one of those people that fame probably wouldn't get to his head.

Highly recommend Cheeri Cheeri ice cream. She’s Filipino and she makes one of the best Filipino vegan ice cream I’ve ever had. She’s in Pasadena :)

Chicken adobo is such a gem like there's very few ingredients needed and quarantine has taught me I can just put them all in a rice cooker and wait for them to cook.

Love Josh, especially after getting into his podcast with Nicole. Their friendship is so pure. And, dude, you should try Nick's light ice cream. Truly one of the best ice creams i've had, and it's lower calorie. I typically try to avoid stuff like that because of my ED but the calories per pint are between 220-300, so a spoonful isn't too bad occasionally. I will also do the same thing you do, when i will get about a spoonful of each flavor i have in my freezer and save the best for last. Or i will put all of the small scoops into one vessel and eat it that way. but seriously, it is the best light ice cream and does not even taste low calorie to me.
yup, recently discovered that the valley has the best hidden food treasures in America. Wanderlust ice cream is a must. specifically the ube pandan flavor. LIFE CHANGING!

@Josh Ice cream recommendation; I’m in Seattle, used to work next door to a place called Salt & Straw, they always had amazing, break the stereotypical flavors, and also had vegan options as well. But if you’re in Seattle you need to hit up “Full Tilt”, used to live by them, I can still smell the waffle cones being made in the morning as I walked past on my way to work.

Ice cream recommendation; Candy cap mushroom ice cream from cowlicks in Fort Bragg California, it’s seasonal and tastes super caramely and delicious! And yes it really does have mushrooms in it!
Pied Piper in Nashville is good if you ever get a chance to go. They had a lavender black pepper ice cream I really liked

A great little ice cream stand in Pepperell Massachusetts call Dr. Davis ice cream has an amazing pineapple coconut ice cream.
