At times her playing and her passion brought tears to my eyes. I wish this young woman all the best.
This girl will be world-class very soon no doubt...
The passion to learn guitar by this young girl and the beautiful way of a respected teacher impressed me very much. Really no words to explain.
really? because you just explained your feelings with words. kind of contradicted yourself there.
I love watching these. I don't play but I REALLY listen, and these videos help me listen much better.
Some valuable lessons here ! Thanks Guitar Magazine
I'm crying with joy watching this.
She is very talented and hopefully will go far.
Wow just amazing! I like to see the enjoy of the master to see his students play the guitar.
Wow how beautiful she plays. The melody flows freely with her fingers.
Maestro Fukuda. Wow....
Lovely playing and piece.
She's so talented ...primavista...and so lucky too. cause got mentor like master fukuda
Ano ba yan?
Amazing!
Amazing guitar 😎☝🎸👍👍🌟🌟🌟
Wonderful ! xxxxxxx
Maestro was very gracious/patient with her. Agree, I had a hard time as the listener following her dotted notes and continuity of the piece. I recall Pepe Romero’s student reminding me when I was playing a Bach Gavotte to make the rhythm clear to the audience. Ditto for the dynamics. Applaud her attempt- this is not an easy piece...
Do you know what piece this is?
@@jorgenmalmstedt4030 this piece is called Reverie, by Giulio Regondi.
@@weslleyfernandesgoncalves8661 Thanks!
Lovely expression, and generally great technique: I hope to learn a thing or two from his comments on tremolo etc!
Talented girl!
utalentowana wykonawczyni i dobry nauczyciel
I am thrilled that I completely understand what he asked for the student both technically and musically. As I understand, the continuation of music relies on the connection between the last beat of a bar to the first beat of the next bar.
Que interesante! 😊
so that's what playing music is all about. i always wondered.

@@luislatournerie7086 hola Luis. Es el Nocturno/ Revertir, del Italiano Giulio Regonli, Op. 19
Disculpa. Quice escribir: REVERIE.
Nice tremolo styles
That is a marathon piece. Really good rapport between student and teacher. Does anyone know who built her guitar? It's very powerful. Excellent class and video.
!!!
wow, I have exactly the same problem with my right hand thumb when playing tremolo... it's quite hard to chaneg once the habit is formed.
Which habit?
@@lunarlight3131 my thumb tends to turn round and round (see ~9:58) instead of resting on the next string. I guess it's not efficient.
@@xudu5941 ah gotcha, have you played this piece before? it's actually my fav regondi piece out of all his concert works, minus his etudes.
@@lunarlight3131 I love this piece but haven't played it before. I very much like most of the Regondi pieces especially his etudes.
Don't know the composer or where he is from , like Irina Kulikova playing Tarrega in Tchaikovsky hall, she makes it russian, painting the landscape.
I was not born or have lived in Russia, bit my father was and taught me about the spirit of the place. Also as a classical guitar practitioner and composer, that is what I try to do, sonic living oil paintings of our lives.
I have a part time job at a Russian grocery store, recently showed this to a new coworker who is from Russia, young guy,
He said, " it sounds like home "
OMG really, i'm in crush with her

What is the song name?
Does anyone know what kind of guitar she is using here?
can i be her guitar
but can she play Smoke on the water?
Does anyone know the name of the prop up device she’s using with her guitar. I’ve seen several talented classical guitarists use this same (or similar) device, but I don’t know the name of this model. Is this model the best prop up device available?
It is 'Ergoplay Tappert' or 'Ergoplay Troster' or similar guitar support.
@@guitarmag Great! Thanks for the information.
What piece is this? Sounds like she is saying Nocturne in the beginning, but who is the composer?
It's Giulio Regondi. All the detals are in the description to this video, as usual :))
I believe it is by Giulio Regondi and titled Reverie op.19
@@guitarmag NO DETALS IN THE DESCRIPTION!!! SALUDOS DESDE MÉXICO!
WOw!
I'm surprised that the student has been taught to not play the tremolo the standard way.
What is the way she is playing?
Sorry for not replying before now. I'm not sure, maybe Pimi? It's only when it's pointed out to her that the right hand fingering should be Pami that I realise it myself.
@@darenhaines8830 There are more than one tremolo techniques. Check superstar Ana Vidovic YT video of "Recuerdos de la Alhambra", (watch?v=fwjX-m4LkYk) she also plays using Pimi... maybe its more of a russian school? i dont know. Anyway i bet Vidovic is a huge influence of the young lady on the video.
@@Henry124 I ended up buying the sheet music to have a go myself. I then, sometime later, bought "The Art of Tremolo" by Ioannis Anastassakis to see if I could improve my (amateur) technique. In this book it describes the other ways of playing the tremolo. It also has an anecdote of how the great man himself, Andres Segovia, only used two fingers. What's good for the goose....I wonder if the teacher in the video looks down upon guitarists who use only two fingers. Using two fingers is much easier but three fingers however may provide higher speeds and endurance in the long run. As for it being a "Russian" thing, some may argue that they have been sticking two fingers up to the West for a long time now.
@@darenhaines8830 she was playing pami from the moment she started her tremolo...

i think the stage for masterclass was too dark for video shooting ..need extra lighting to make the video more presentable.
não tinha nada pra falar ai inventa....
It's a masterclass with broken English and frequently interrupted by translator, in this video we can feel the strong sense of traditional Japanese men with his prospective to how to treat women, with his high ground and looking down the women, and some over annoying smile to maintain the atmosphere, he have an perfect skill, but it must transfer to the beautiful performance, otherwise, nobody likes to facing a old man temper. As a audien, I think some of music sense I learned from the Russian girl, very different than how I play this piece. For the rest,it is like watching people doing communication.
She's better than him. Just saying. She has more soul. Bravo. Excellent class in dynamics.
Means u r a kids still she is good but no way close to him
What do Shin-ichi Fukuda mean whith russian rule? There is no russian rule in this kind of music!
Get her teacher out of the room.. terrible distraction and an egotist to boot!
Nonsense. It simply happens, it's something inherent to the instrument. May sound louder or quieter, depending on several factors, but it's almost unavoidable and completely acceptable. If you don't like that noise, you don't like guitar.
