How to approach a PLAB- 2 station like a pro

This an overall genric approach which works for me and for my other fellow doctors to ace the exam , as the exam is not about completing the station , its about managing the situation as FY2 doctor.

This is was really helpful Doc. I always wondered why we had to know alot into the management details to pass Plab 2 when in fact we have already been assessed in Plab 1. Besides, how much does an FY2 really know about a condition when they have alot of Registrars, Senior registrars and Consultants in the department.

Its absolutely fine because at times it can be a bit tricky come up with a diagnosis, in that case give you differentials and refer to specialist or involve seniors and refrain from giving a wrong diagnosis ✌🏼

Do we have to take the names of the investigations? I mean the patient wouldn't know why we are carrying out those investigations? So do we have to explain all of them before the patient asks?

Try to a bit precise about it because the actors are basically waiting for a particular test to hear in certain cases

For now i would advise you to work on your communication skills and english and thats about it
Once you are here you can start working in a systemic manner
