      Brittney forget this fool. Talk to other Nigerian UA-camrs and your Nigerian friends. Go visit, be generally careful and live your life. There's usually a sense that election season can be a bit volatile (e.g., random mob fights etc.) but even then you wouldn't be around any of that. If anything, you can wait till elections after February and go but don't even think that's necessary.

      Great informative interview! Historically humans social for survival .Individualism based on spectrum .White populations more individualistic .US white most individualistic hence impacting black in US. Black nigeria less individualistic more family oriented. Individualism connected to property rights championed by 17th-20th century liberal political ideologies european philosophers like Immanuel Kant. Industrialization in 18th-20th century accompanied accumulation of property, more individualism breakdown of family, high divorce. Individualism work less for black than white. US institutions replaced white family support structure .White in america most systemic benefits hence most protected negatives of individualism .black in nigeria survive from ancestral family structure .Black in america own less than 2% of businesses with population of 14% and weaker family structure, systemic challenges. The average black woman median wealth is $1700.Median wealth black family $14,100,Hispanic,$31,700,white $187,300,Asian $206,400.Asian most collectivist group US highest marriage rate 58%,white marriage 48%,hispanic 42%,black 26%, dropping .

    There are too many assumptions and generalizations in this interview that have been made by the guest Nigerian guy. Britney, don't let ANYONE scare you or impose their own fears, thoughts, and opinions on you about the occurrences and current STATE OF AFFAIRS on-ground in Nigeria, all because they are doomed with fear themselves. Yes, do your due diligence and research, move in silence and be assertive, keep a low profile, and move about with your local and trusted contacts on-ground. Live life, enjoy your life, and don't let others impose their fears on you. SALUTE 👍🏾✌🏾👉🏾✊🏾💯

      @shafton Connell, you are not being honest with your comment!!! Here in America, I do not think a month will pass without mass shooting and no week will pass without receiving child kidnapping alert on my phone. America is not actually safe because guns are in the hands of so many people including mad people. So everyone has the possibility of being in the right place at the wrong time. The difference here is that the security system works and perpetrators of these heinous crimes are fished out immediately and they eventually end up in jail for the rest of their lives. Here in America, you can drive from East Cost to West Cost and back without any fear that you will be attacked my robbers -- maybe because the potential robbers believe that you too have your own gun by your side. Every problem is an opportunity and I see the security challenges in Nigeria today as an opportunity for Nigeria to develop and advance her security industry. The western world understand the fact there there are people who are not normal and these people should not live among the normal people for public safety. Most importantly, there will never be security in Nigeria until the politicians stop looting public treasuries. There is no security in Nigeria -- period!!! No nation can develop without aggressively addressing security challenges. I hate to say this, I wish this kidnapping is 100 percent directed at these wicked politicians and some civil servants who are looting public treasuries. And the ransom should be like 1b dollars and maybe this will discourage them from looting public treasuries. Lol!!! The Lekki deep seaport was recently built for 1.5b dollars. The missing 12 dollars gulf war wind fall is enough is to build more than 5 of these infrastructures. The money stolen by these 3 Nigerians --General Babangida, Abacha and Dieze Ani is more than enough to build hydro power stations and provide all-year-round electricity for the whole country.

    I enjoyed The Don’s interview and I appreciate his candour. The only thing I want to add is that he should visit Naija more often. He has allowed the deluge of negative media regarding kidnapping in Nigeria to heavily color his perception of safety. Remember there are over 2,000,000 persons in Nigeria who do not have any other place in the world to run to, and they have not all been kidnapped! As one contributor mentioned, granted things are not rosy but they are NOT as bad as the media is portraying it to be.

      Yes she interviewing him and teaching him at the same time . Say African can can build great schools and infrastructures too . I am from the Caribbean too, we like white/ acceptance and white validation. We are colonized to the bone. We don’t put enough pressure on the relevant authorities to lead the right way. We accept mediocrity as a given . As Dynast from (Search For Uhuru) said, “It will take Africans to build Africa. “The colonizers will not build Africa. In fact their gold is to keep it poor and weak , so they can easily be controlled.

    Brittney, I have just recently stumbled on two of your videos, I think, esp your trip to Nigeria, Nigerian wedding experience, trips to Benin and Delta state. And I find you to be very vivacious and wished your "I want to be a Nigerian bride..." prayer can crystalize.
    Watching this video, and if you're real in this video, you're very likely going to struggle with love and even holding it down with a man beyond dating, be it a Nigerian, American, European, any man at all.
    If you're really looking in that direction, you defo need to change a lot. Having your own bathe, and having the man always initiate things speak volume of every other things sista. And this is typical of our ABW. Beyond you women and your selfish desires, there are families/homes to build and our community, our black community to build.

      @@BrittneyCaldwell Am glad to see the confirmation that you're with a Nigerian guy. I felt as much in your Nigeria vlogs.
      Sista, I love your energy and we need such to build our community. And by community I mean the black community everywhere - Africa, America, Europe, wherever we are.
      Am Nigeria and here in America. My desire is for us, the black race to unite, within and amongst us. My desire is to see us build strong communities and link up. I love to see people from the continent inter-marrying with our black communities in the diaspora. And love to see diasporas connecting with the Motherland. I also want the Motherland to have a unified policy to welcome home the diaspora.
      My wish is for you Brittney to succeed in dating, love, marriage, family and vocation.
      Listen Brittney, please don't go with "..he really appreciates me for who I am...." He may do that to secure the fun and not to give you a ring ultimately.
      Write this down, in Nigeria, Africa as a whole, a man can date whoever he wants but have to marry the culture. The culture marries the woman. That is why when you marry a Nigerian, you become "our wife". You have to fit into the culture. S*x is the only thing you have exclusive with your husband.
      Your children are your contributions to your husband's father's family and the community. Your mother-in-law, as the matriarch of the wider family, owns the children more than you and your husband do.
      We can learn somethings from other races but when it comes to family and socialization, Africa is the best and strong.
      Note that if you two progress to marriage, and I really desire to welcome you to the Nigerian family, you will be getting married to the family and culture through him. Even if his mother is no more, a sister of his or his uncle's wife will step up unless you keep Nigeria out of your lives. There's no feminism. It's a patriarchy that the matriarchs sustain.

    Hey Brittney! Just a heads up. If you notice an influx of comments from me, it's because I'm binge watching your channel 😊. Everything is lit thus far but I enjoyed this interview in particular. I learned about Eldee in 2022 while making reaction videos to the Netflix documentary "Afrobeats: The Backstory". Don't let his modesty fool you. The man is definitely a pioneer in the Nigerian Hip Hop and Afrobeats game. Anyway, shortly after doing my reaction videos, I was briefly introduced to Eldee while attending The Headies Awards in Atlanta. This interview has been a breath of fresh air. Hearing him speak of his experiences here in America, with African Americans is a treat. I am absolutely loving the exchange of vibes. I've been seeking out content and social media spaces that highlight positivity and unity amongst Aricans from the continent and members the diaspora. Your channel is all of that and more. Great, frank conversation. Very impressive young man. Brittany is a great journalist. I think she has a lot to offer as a bridge builder.
    The recipe for a wholesome relationship is Jesus Christ. It is the Spirit of God that that tears down the fortresses of pride and insecurity. There is no perfect culture. When the Lord steps into someone's life, He destroys the old person and builds the new one crafted after God's righteousness.
    One can never experience the wonder of love without a willingness to expose oneself to risk. Therefore, faith is a key ingredient of love. There is no marriage without God.

Many know multiple languages, along with a lot of life skills, which many people in the West lack. They also tend to be better educated on foreign policy, than people in the West, especially in the US. However not everyone in the West is like that, but many are.

    When we speak about single AA women why is it never brought up that AA men are incarcerated and die daily due to gun violence? So, the AA men that are alive and free have lots of options. This is the elephant in the room that no one wants to discuss. It’s very on trend in social media to blame AA women for everything. By the way, I’m AA.

    • @addosolar537
      @addosolar537 Рік тому

      I believe that is a bit of a stereotype. There are AA men available but they I often considered "bougie" or "acting White" by AA women so after awhile they go to other races or nationalities. I think media stereotypes have made AA woman feel like they should be dating only men who are "street". Thus, they end up in the search for the mythical "Ghost" character from Power. The professional who is secretly a gangster.🙄

    • @freedomm
      @freedomm Рік тому

      This is just an observation, but it seems a significant proportion of AA men prefer white or women of other races over their own. A 30 year old UA-cam content creator (Eboh Media) was recently killed during a kidnapping attempt in Nigeria and was buried earlier this week. He had left his wife and son back in the UK in order to make videos about Nigeria. He was traveling on the highway from one state to another when the kidnapping of passengers in several cars took place. He tried to escape and was shot two times. So, I would not venture out on those roads if I were you. Also, Abuja is known for its kidnappings, and as Eldee tried to tell you, the U.S. and other countries are advising their citizens not to visit Abuja right now.
    One last thing, how well do you know your Nigerian contact? There is a reason that Nigerians who have moved abroad do not let their friends and family members know when they are returning for a visit. They just show up out of the blue because IT IS NOT UNCOMMON TO BE SET UP. Ask Eldee about it. Good luck, Hon.

How is Eldee feeling safe knowing the amount of killing that also happens there and we are not even including the school shootings. The truth is, both Nigeria and the US have improvements to be made with security. The only difference is the reaction of a system that gets activated in the US.
