Peter said, ''You are the messiah''. In the argument of the trinity, we must realize that our God was never called the messiah.

      Psalm 110:1
“The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool
Seems here the is a Lord handing a Lord a position of power, honor, and pre-eminence. What to make of this?
Hebrew Chapter 1 reveals this exact parallel; as it speaks of the Son being the brightness of God’s glory and Bod’s expressed image. To the feet of the Son the angels worship. We see the Son created the heavens and earth, and the Son is on the right hand [position of power and equal significance] of God with enemies as the footstools.
Verse 8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom
John 5:16-30 reveals the Son has all power and authority given by the Father.
Ok, so the Lord is clearly Jesus, and He is labeled Son of God, and He receives the highest possible stature and power.
      Isaiah 44:6
“Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:
‘I am the first and I am the last,
And there is no God besides Me.”
Here again, two Lords declaring to be the first and the last, and yet are one God. Seems to be common trend we see happening.
      Colossians 1:17 (reference to Jesus)
“And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”
Ok, so Jesus created the world and all of creation! He is before all things. He is Redeemer, and yet God is one. And again it is said, Jesus has power and authority!
      Genesis 1:26
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”
Notice that? God says, “Let US make man in OUR image”. One God speaking in plurality? Ok, what is going on here, how is this so?
John Chapter 1 shows God’s Word is God, and the Word is also Jesus ⬇️
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
      Verse 14
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
Ok, so Jesus existed before all things, and is the expressed image of God, became man, and is the Word of God!
Yet, Islam teaches the Word of God is the Qur’an…the written record of Muhammad’s experience from his “revelation”. The Bible teaches the Word of God is none other than Jesus!
Moreover, The Gospels reveal Jesus says He is the only way to salvation and Savior for all, and offers eternal life. Jesus’s is the Messiah and entered the world as a man, to act as a servant of God and offer himself as a sacrifice for humanity’s sin. Hence the Lamb sacrifice reference in the John 1:29, as fulfillment to the prophesy in Isaiah 53:7. The Gospels reveal something larger about him, ever wonder why the Sanhedrin wanted Jesus dead? Here is the answer.
      1. The claims that He made.
      2. The deeds that He did.
      3. His threat to their religious system.
      4. His threat to their way of life.
      5. The people with whom He socialized.
      6. The lack of respect He had for their religious traditions
      Mark 14:
61 But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? 62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
The Pharisee also didn’t like this ⬆️
      John 5:
16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day. 17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. 18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
The Pharisee didn’t like this either ⬆️ They wanted him dead with the charge of BLASPHEMY! He was not the Messiah they believed would be coming, as he was not militant or political. Their breaking point was when Jesus claimed to be the Son of Man, and it asserts His divinity to their understanding of the prophetic scripture below ⬇️
      Daniel 7:
13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
Worry not, after Jesus’s eventual death by crucifixion, he arose as He is the Resurrection! If it were not so then Christianity movement would have not started or expand as it did, especially considering the persecution of the early Church aka followers of Jesus, dying for what they KNEW to be true.
