My issue with FN handguns is how expensive they are and that they are relatively unavailable in my area. I dont see them a lot in our local gun stores and when I do, it’s usually a larger type like the 509 Tactical. The 509 Compact is on my list of handguns I’d like to buy, but I can’t usually find one and when I do, it’s a $700+ gun. That’s consistently driving me into the arms of the Austrians and got me considering Glocks.
FN is one of the MOST reliable manufacturers in the History of the Gun World! The 509/45x/ and five seven are some of the best in the lineup. Reliable is an understatement
I have the 509 tactical the fnx 45 tactical and the FN 5.7..they are superior firearms and they eat every ammo I put thru them no malfunctions ever..and the look of the 509 shits on mostly every gun in it's class..I will never sell any of my FN guns...the ps90 on the way.
I have the 509t in fde as part of my edc rotation, they didn't have the 509t compact version out yet or I would have gone with that option, but thanks to the guys at tier1 concealment I am able to comfortably carry it with the ext mag appendix in Florida lol. I have over 4000 rounds through it as of now and not one hiccup! Running it with a type 2 rmr and tlr 1hl. Anyways great content just discovered your channel tonight so you got a new follower brother 💪
@@WhySooSeriouslol What if I told you that small handguns are a gimmick? When I was trained I was taught that a fullsize conceals just as well as a small pistol. You just have to know how to conceal. I have owned 1 compact and sold it. I have carried Glock 17, 21 and a fullsize VP9. No issues.
I see these guns everywhere. I LOVE how they feel. But why are the triggers so shit? Even a outdated glock trigger is better. 2 magazines and a non plastic case. Is this why the guns are only $550?
I have the FN 509c Tactical as my EDC with the Tier1 Holster. Best purchase I have made for a handgun.
It’s a solid handgun! Good choice!
I agree the fn 509 seems to be overlooked.
I’d love to try the combat version. 👍
Highly recommended!

That's weird. I found them for $550 and $600. I would find another gun store

I agree. You can find a great deal. I found the 509C tactical for $599 brand new
Its also super easy to just order online and get it delivered to a local ffl instead of driving to a bunch of different gun stores
In Florida these are like 900$ Handguns but I want them
I carry my 509c Tactical with the 17rd magazine it feels perfect.
Excellent!
Not so much the 509 but I got the 502 in all black. Make it a little prepper pistol with my aries silencer. Thing looks very small even with the can.

Yes, FN makes top tier products! Highly recommended!
Makes me miss my fn 509t fde... it was a love and Hate for me; specifically the trigger
It’s a great pistol, The APEX Trigger is an excellent upgrade over the stock trigger.
Notification squad is here!
😎

Awesome, that sounds like a solid carry rig! Thank you for watching and subscribing!
I’m new to hand guns but looking into the 509t. Would you recommend for a 1st timer to go with the compact version?
@@WhySooSeriouslol The compact wild be better suited for conceal carry, di ifs that your objective yea.
@@AXARMS ok. Yeah I’m kinda wanting an edc, but nothing too big. I’m only 5’9”, 160 lbs.

Do these guns have the same trigger? If so, can I do anything to my 509c to help with recoil? The tactical is better with less recoil
Yes they do.
If you mount a red dot does the entire rear sight come off? Or just the protectors
Just the plate. The irons remain.
How much bucks for small ?
How it the trigger? It has that S&W style looking trigger safety which is why I ask.
It’s nice, but Apex makes a great upgrade for it.
It's definitely not the best. Extremely gritty. Dump 200 to 400 rounds down range and it will loosen up.
Which one would you recommend for home defense/travel hun
The full size for HD.
Which one is better ?
Depends on your intended use.
Both are the same thing, it’s just that both have different sizes.
