What happens if the front tyre goes flat after you secure it? Seems like that would give enough slack for the overcam to loosen and the wheel to come free (or at least flop around a dangerous amount)

but what will the coppers say about it ? Tie downs must have load ratings on them , so how will this fair ? I am keen to try some in the trailer.

Hey Gary, absolutely no idea! GB has ran these for years and no cop has ever asked or questioned anything about them.

I think you'll be right, the offence is 'insecure load' meaning it's not secure. Rope or tie-downs would normally be used but this is a great alternative. I have no issue with it 😉
