Exactly. Logan was bragging on Impaulsive about being a better boxer than Jake but his performance against Dillon was massively underwhelming.
Yessirrr. Idk maybe it’s my biases overarching my logic but Logan has barely improved, still fights scared even against ppl half his size, jab merchant, slow feet.

This is why i respect leon and viddal. They keep it real. Even they know that the bouncing up and down was never a good gameplan. So now everyone knows that the fight was not rigged but it was close
Leon and Vidal had jj winning, they are saying for them type of judges a traditional boxing style would of favoured jj more. That’s why they were saying to mix it up.
It was definitely close but it’s a draw at best for Tommy. The judges were clearly motivated to “not make a mockery of the sport” and couldn’t bare to see a youtuber take down the fury name. They’d rather judge a fight by gatekeeping the sport rather than just scoring it fairly.
@@Keizi I think they definitely favoured the fury’s a bit more. Again it is what it is. Ksi showed he is level with Tommy when everyone thought he wasn’t.
@@Keiziit’s not gatekeeping by sticking to the fundamentals of the sport. Tommy wasn’t great but he was defiantly the one pushing the pace and actually trying to have an exchange. KSI style is the equivalent to a footballer coming on the pitch and only taking long shots but not doing anything else.
The bouncing up and down/ clinching was KSI's best hope to win.
Now I'm skeptical about KSI vs Jake, it could be another stinky fight.....

KSIs whole gameplan was to knock out Tommy. Tommy ate his shots and ksi had to adjust like they said. However if ksi had boxed more conventionally Tommy would have landed more.
Yeah but when JJ landed the jab and overhand in the first round and it didn’t knock Tommy out (yes you could argue it wasn’t clean), and then there was the whole constant clinching, you need to switch it up. He could’ve easily done three rounds with the bladed stance and then changed it up for the 4th but he didn’t.

@@rayabahmed1624 I mean he can certainly fight without the bladed stance because he’s done it before. You could say that he isn’t successful with all the shots he throws and I would agree, but he could’ve definitely switched stances and still hit Tommy with a few good shots or combinations. JJ just follows orders so if his corner doesn’t tell him to switch the stance/tactics then he won’t do it of his own accord which is something that JJ lacks at the moment. We don’t know if he can read the fight and change if needed, probably not.
@@Adam-mz2cp Yeah I agree, but that initiative to change styles is usually in the pro scene when fighters are at higher levels. KSI is very inexperienced and doesn’t have the boxing IQ that is necessary to read a fight. But for sure him fighting without the bladed stance for a couple of rounds could have won him the fight but it’s just hypothetical. The bladed stance confused Tommy and make it awkward for him so if JJ boxed more conventionally I believe Tommy would have landed more shots on him and he would be an easier target.

No Salt Papi just needs to take a new approach he did great losing all that weight but I think the weight loss put a big dent in him and he still looked the same.

The funny thing is Kenny could have won that fight with ease. I watched the fight back & AT fought almost exactly like Whinderson did against Kenny. The way he was getting on the inside, landing the straight rights, overhand rights & body shots. Only difference is the output, AT had the better output but Kenny could have prevented that from happening if he just cleared his mind & focussed on maneuvering around the ring while he sticks the jab in his face continuously. Constantly standing still and dipping his shoulder while AT bull runs into him was the stupidest thing he could have done. Kenny played AT's game & he lost.
Its understandable why his team were acting the way they did but the way they spoke to him couldnt of helped, surely.
@@ladajzobrinton5025 Depends on the person really. His coach is his brother & sometimes in a sport like boxing you need to get a reality check. If you lose a fight you can't really expect your corner to compliment you so really I see it as tough love, which is probably the best type of love you can receive from someone. Accepting the harsh truth & adapting is better than living a lie imo.

Im glad you man said the truth about kenny. AT had a game plan which has never changed and it was up to kenny to deal with it and he couldnt. Then all this talk post fight about AT not letting kenny work and it was boring. Shouldve dealt with him then 🤷♂️
There is truth and merit in that, I too was disappointed that Kenny couldn't and didn't deal with it. But also, AT is trash man. The fact that it's just a thing now, it's known he just throws an overhand and immediately clinches. It's awful to watch. Kenny should've dealt with it alot better, but AT is awful

JJ’s team fully bigged up tommy’s jab, it’s not all that at all, if he boxed as hybrid of both karate and orthodox like you said, he genuinely could’ve won with ease
I disagree. Tommy landed some really good counterpunches and KSI reacted by clinching after every right hand he’d throw. Had KSI tried to land more, he would’ve kept getting caught and possibly stopped.

Tbh all of you are making up fair points. I just feel like if the ref did not allow much clinching, they both would be able to show more. All the potential strategy just went out the window when they realised they could just hold on and wait it out. Mistake from both parts but Tommy being the pro boxer should've had an answer to it. The fact he was getting outworked in the clinch too makes me even more disappointed for Tommy ngl

Ril and Wills coming with facts, my biggest annoyance is KSI didn’t go for a hybrid style. In the 2 fights one night, Fournier and Faze fights he didn’t solely use the bladed style. He needs to mix it with traditional footwork and boxing in addition to his awkward style. Got to snatch the fight outta the judges hands, similar to Logan 2 fight plenty of bodywork and sternum punches to get the points. His camp needs traditional minds because he can’t solely work for a knockout on a single punch and reaction.
Hot take - I don’t think Jake and JJ are fighting each other, the build of their paths has gotten so lucrative the necessity has wained.
Yea they deff chased the overhand to the surprise of no one. But yea that style he has can work but he needs something else, very one dimensional. they just wanted to get their one shot off make it ugly and try and dirty box in the clinch.

If KSI's appeal don't get overturned I'd like to see main event KSI - JPaul with co-main Viddal - Tommy Fury. If the problem for Fury is that Viddal dosent sell enough tickets, then put it on a Misfits card.
Only problem is finding a governing body to score the fights, because there will be influencers on the card
Viddal can't fight on Misfits. He is signed to SkySports. I don't think he wants to end his deal just to fight on an influencer card.

@@jacktease27 well I can see why when you put it that way. The reason JJ fought Tommy in the first place was because he thought he'd do better than Jake. Technically he did, Jake pretty much got pummeled (not bad but still), while JJ made the match incredibly unorthodox which through Tommy off. However he was obviously still cautious that he's get combo'd by Tommy so that why he clenched him.
However again, since he fought Tommy and realized that he's okay, but he isn't the greatest boxer in the world, he wants to actually go in and possibly go to town I guess.
Just thinking how ksi would probably see it.

Alexis has done great with JJ up to this point. The shoot fighters MMA style worked well for JJ against influencers, but they should have took a different approach against Tommy. Like Leon said, if he mixed in good fundamentals he most likely would have won.
