I think one of the best parts of the boycott is that one way or another it's not going to have a massive financial impact on Rowling in anyway. If the sales are good then she gets a little extra money. If they're not then nothing for her changes, she's still pulling all the movie, book, amusement park, and toy royalties she was making before this game and will be making long after sales for the game reach their lowest point.
She's not getting Royalties from the game, she only got Paid for use of the HP license, so she's already made any money that she was gonna make.
I’m not interested in Harry Potter, but if I can, I would also try this game for myself. All while knowing it will offend the wokies to the moon. Perhaps it might change my perspective on the Harry Potter genre.

Thank you for making a video on this. Everything you said was pretty spot-on. As a trans person, I am very disappointed in the online trans community right now. I've seen some of them talk about blocking their long-time friends simply over the fact that they bought this game. I personally don't like J.K. Rowling, but I'm definitely getting the game and playing it when I come back home next week. Like you said, people need to separate the artist from the art.
I'm also trans (MTF) and I completely agree that art should not be punished because of the artist. For example, I personally don't like Chick-fil-A. However, it's not the food that I dislike, its the company itself and its ideas and values. Essentially, I don't like Chick-fil-A as a company, but I love their chicken.

Basic biology is akin to genocide to these people nowadays
There’s nothing satanic about wholesomeness.
People have been calling Harry Potter satanic since the first book... Religious freaks can tell the difference between fictional magic and demon magic bruh.

I’m trans and plan on buying the game when it is discounted. Growing up HP was a big influence in my life and I’m excited for the game. At this point, JKR has so much money that a few people not buying the game really isn’t going to hurt her. The story is the not the same of the person that wrote it in my eyes, and the actors I feel in love with as a kid have all spoken out against what she’s said. Both of those factors are good enough for me, idk haha.
Don't mean jk was wrong tho
I agree it’s not going to harm her wallet ether way the games were bought or not because she’s made well enough money to not even care
JK said nothing wrong
Actually the game also includes some trans characters.

Learning about the music artist Beck being a scientologist i think was my first time considering the concept of separating the person from the achievement they created that i find enjoyable.
It's up to the individual person to decide what they enjoy and whether the personal life of the artist is a make-or-break for their on-going support. To push ones own choice of that on others isn't cool imo though

*Hogwarts Legacy has three different endings to the main storyline. These endings are not impacted by any decisions made throughout the story, but instead, come at the very end of the game. The three endings can vaguely be classified as ‘good’ and ‘evil’ endings.*
*The Hogwarts Legacy ending has you become the only Keeper, either absorbing or hiding Isidora’s magic under Hogwarts. It doesn’t matter which choice you make.*
*In the good ending, you hide Isidora’s magic away from the Wizarding World, hoping that no one will ever find and abuse the power for themselves. In the bad ending, you decide to use it for ‘good’, absorbing it yourself. Either way, Professor Fig meets his demise, and Ranrok is killed.*
*Afterwards, both endings have the school hall packed with students, hearing Professor Weasley’s eulogy of Professor Fig. However, school isn’t over just yet, and you need to complete the Hogwarts Legacy side quests and fill in your field guide to complete your O.W.Ls.*
oh no Professor Fig dies! Hope he's not important!
