Zeneta Everhart, mother of Zaire Goodman, gives victim impact statement

Zaire Goodman was working at Tops on Jefferson Avenue in Buffalo when he was shot and injured in the mass shooting on May 14, 2022. Two others were hurt, and 10 people were killed. On February 15, 2023, the gunman was sentenced to life without parole.

I got chills. Zaire in Arabic means the roar of a lion. As the sun comes up it is as the roaring of your son Zaire in our ears. Peace to you and your son.
