Those young men should be proud and you should too. As to the dead beat dad's they need their ass kicked for abusing a female or a child. That also goes for those who abuse the elderly. I spent most my life locked up hanging with people in clubs I thought cared about me as a brother. I finally got out made a promise to myself that I would leave that life and try and get sober. I did get off the drugs but couldn't seem to leave the life so I turned to alcohol and found some relief but it sucks now I wish I could get off the alcohol.this is the better of the 2 I guess I haven't been locked up since I got off the drugs thank god

I grew up thinking my daddy was a hero that he wanted to be a part of mine and my siblings life's. I ignored everything my mom would say. He was a drug addict and an alcoholic. It took me turning 17 and moving in with him to see he wasn't a hero, my mom was right. Now me and my siblings are grown we see that he didn't care about us but drugs and alcohol. His choices has landed him unable to work, still an alcoholic, and on over 20 medicines

It was a very difficult time for me as it still is now at 48 yrs old I still cry like the child I was when he was teaching me what I did not quite understand until after he was gone from me in in the flesh. My Dad did 22 years in the Army, 2 tours in Vietnam, 1 in Korea, and a jungle warfare expert trainer in Panama. I was only 7 years old when we left there. I'm going almost 4 years strong as a single father bc I gave up the beer and drugs to get by before fighting for their ability to live a better life rather than foster and adoption. This song hits the soul and I pray all goes well for you! Today I remain drug free because of the fact when the mother isolated them from me, I felt no where to go but as much as you & I may be hero's. my biogical dad just sent me this song after he got out of prison and at the moment i am crying a lot.
My Dad Died in 1999 3years after I lost my Mom. He was sick with brain and lung cancer. & took care my Mother. He want so fast . my 55 birthday is today I'm a 19 Yr cancer Free .
What an outstanding song guy's! My Dad went to be with the Lord in 2000. It was a very difficult time for me as it still is now at 48 yrs old I still cry like the child I was when he was teaching me what I did not quite understand until after he was gone from me in in the flesh. My Dad did 22 years in the Army, 2 tours in Vietnam, 1 in Korea, and a jungle warfare expert trainer in Panama. I was only 7 years old when we left there. My Dad taught me so much and he never spoke of the wars, NEVER. HE WAS AND STILL IS MY HERO! LOVE YOU DAD. Thanks again for this song, you guy's are awesome and I love all your music. Thx

We have an everlasting Father in heaven if we would just repent and believe and trust and obey Him! Unfortunately I have been in a dry place with Him for a while now and need prayers. I don't know your situation but in Romans chapter 8 there is an endearing word that says if we are His we can cry out ABBA Father which means daddy!
