I liked the Stitch with me today. I don’t normally, but you did a good job talking/teaching/answering questions. I am currently in the middle of backstitching a Thomas Kinkade Cinderella piece, so need to focus on that, so your talking in the background was perfect- I can’t be looking up to see all the crossstitch goodies.
Sometimes if you're so focused on something (in your case the retreat) it does consume you. I'm glad you've recognised that, and I'd go as far as saying, stitch NON-Mira stuff! You've got such a varied number of wips, mix it up so it doesn't become a neverending stream of Mira (which isn't a bad thing by any means, but variety is the spice of life.) As for Nora's Alphabet, yea I get it. I have the chart and intend to use it to stitch my name when I stitch the three dragonflies in a tryptech using the alphabet. Another one I haven't seen many people stitching is one of Nora's first designs she did called Renaissance Angel.
I don’t see Renaissance Angel much either! It’s beautiful, though! It’s good to know I’m not the only one with the chart. I’d love to see yours when you’re done; I love the idea!
We’ve sent an email to everyone who filled the form out. If you can email queencitystitchretreat@gmail.com from the email address you registered with, I can check on it. Be sure to check your junk and spam folders too!
Do you use a grime guard? I typically do since I have Miss Gracie that likes to lick the edge of the grime guard.have you started snow queen? I live so close (90 minutes) to Charlotte, if you have a last minute cancellation, I definitely can come. And, yes, you and Maggie are doing a great job with this.
Thank you so much! I have started but only barely. I’ve never used a grime guard. I’ve never found it necessary. My pieces get removed from the Qsnaps often and I wash them.
Amy-help me please! I was stitching along with you on Autumn Queen and I ran into a floss number 5282? symbol is l. It’s n the shoulder of her dress and appears red in photos? I checked the errata site and that didn’t help- do you remember what this was? Sorry to interrupt! Please resume your regularly scheduled programming!
That’s a dmc number for a gold thread. It’s generally despised, I believe, lol. I would replace it with a gold Kreinik or Rainbow gallery. If you google “dmc 5282” you’ll see the color. Hope that helps!
Hi Amy, I very much enjoyed stitching with you today! Have a wonderful week. Take care -Samantha

I filled out the form for the retreat the very first day and have heard nothing back. Does this mean I am on a waiting list?

Do you use readers and if so what strength
I usually use anywhere from a 1.0 to a 1.5 depending on how tired my eyes are. My last prescription was for .75’s.
