Dude, you can't expect something like this to be free, this should be common knowledge. Also, Banjo isn't in Nintendo's ownership again, he's still owned by Rare which is under Microsoft's ownership. Since Smash 4 on Wii U and 3DS, Microsoft already gave Nintendo the okay to include Banjo and Kazooie in Smash Bros.
Oh my gosh! I am sooo sick of hearing all the hating on Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts! Every Banjo-Kazooie game is great in its own way. When I first played this, I couldn't put it down! I have also played Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie and I love them too.

I respect the idea of what the story was doing, but what went wrong was how this was based around cars and missions, I mean they should've used a different character but I think it was because Banjo was basically the top character that Rare still owned since Donkey Kong was still with Nintendo. Nintendo needs to get the rights to Banjo and give them to Retro, I mean look at DKC, Tropical Freeze is an amazing game (not to mention David Wise made a soundtrack that is able to rival DKC2's) if Retro got their hands on Banjo I bet we would see the Banjo Three-ie that we know we want.
If you COMPLETELY removed LOG, and made the plot something other than "Banjo, Kazooie, and Gruntilda decide to do cars instead by themselves" I would give it another 2 points out of 10.

It's funny how everyone's like, "Thanks to Microsoft we got this..." though it is Microsoft's fault for the long ass delay, it isn't their fault it turned into a racing simulator. Rare said themselves, they made the world so big it was hard to traverse on foot, so they got the idea to incorporate cars. It sucks because you could tell by the teaser they were going to make it like the original two. I'm just glad we're getting Yooka Laylee. Maybe one day we'll get a Banjo Threeie but, I doubt it'll ever be like the original two or Yooka Laylee.
The thing about Nuts & Bolts is that it is a good game, but it's not a great Banjo game. The comedy and meta jokes were great in this game, don't get me wrong. (The exception is what L.O.G. said about everybody just wants to shoot things. THAT is total horse shit.) It's just the vehicles, how complex the vehicle building is, how the worlds they go to aren't very full of life... The thing is this. If they are going to make more Banjo games, then they need to expand on what their predecessors did, but in the right direction. You have to compare Nuts & Bolts to the previous games in order to see it. Nuts & Bolts isn't really a way for Rare to move the game series forward if they do wish to make another Banjo game. If they do bring back vehicles, then make them an addition to platforming gameplay rather than being the central focus with complex creation systems. Banjo Kazooie was seen as a way to expand on what Super Mario 64 gave us when it comes to platforming. Banjo-Tooie brought us new moves to use for platforming as well as refining mechanics that were in the original. Nuts & Bolts... It's like they completely abandoned the Banjo formula and replaced it with something else entirely instead of expanding on what their predecessors did. If people do like Nuts & Bolts, then all power to them. Like I said, it's a good game. It's just not a great Banjo game to me and a lot of other Banjo fans who were unhappy with the execution.
OverNight Gaming I think the issue was timing and marketing if we knew more classic banjo was coming and this game was marketed as a spin off no one would be angry. People don’t raise hell fire when a new Mario Party, Mario Tennis, or Mario Kart game comes out because we know that they’re going to coexist with the traditional gameplay style not be a replacement for it

This game is actually a very amazing game on its own, just not something you would expect to see in the Banjo-Kazooie series. at least most of the people that worked at rare in the Golden Age of the company left and have now formed playtonic games! Now we have Yooka-Laylee and Yooka-Laylee and The Impossible Lair. A spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country respectively.
@@doccles17 also a whole lot of former Rare employees went to work at Chameleon Games. They already made Tamarin, a spiritual successor to Jet Force Gemini. Also, Playtonic Games is working on a true sequel to Yooka-Laylee and not another spin-off.

From what I've heard, they were planning on making a classic Banjo-Kazooie game, but the worlds got so bug they had the idea of putting in vehicles. Then they got too many ideas involving the vehicles, and you can guess the rest. If only they had decided to make this a spin-off to keep fans waiting while they continued working on the classic Banjo...
I love, LOVE the Banjo-Kazooie series but I hate how I hated this game. Even my friend called me out saying I didn't complete Nuts & Bolts and I said my heart just wasn't into it. The intro and Banjo Land was probably the best part of this whole thing.

As a teen ill never forget seeing Kazooie ask for her moves back and LOG answering: “you won’t be needing those, they’re outdated anyway” and really losing all faith in this game 🤣 I lost all faith. I had fun playing this game but not nearly as much fun as I did with its predecessors.
I am now legit crying. I was born in 2004 and this was pretty much my first game on a white Xbox 360, I remember coming out of the school and playing this every day. I still have it tho! I saw some walkthroughs and they were 4hours long. I was playing that game for 2 years and I still didn't finish it. Then I uninstalled it because I was downloading Forza Motorsport 4. Great times, I want them back.... PLEASE
I think that the L.O.G. was intentionally supposed to be unlikable, like he represents Microsoft and how they treat Rare and its employees, but god does he cross the line more than Rare needed him to. It also helps that the player never fights him when he should have been the final boss, and one could say that he's directly responsible for killing off the Banjo Kazooie franchise.
He really should have been the final boss. At least then the Banjo fans could have had some catharsis in beating him up. Fun fact: My sister has hated this game ever since it came out, and only recently did I mention how L.O.G. should have been the final boss, and she was like, "Wait, he ISN'T?!" All this time, she thought L.O.G. was the final boss, and she still hated the game. You can guess what her opinion of it is now.
Tbh this game is VERY middle of the road. The graphics look nice for the time, the jokes are kind funny and tbh the atmosphere in most areas is actually fantastic!! Linktothe_Awesome I bought it just as an avid Banjo Kazooie fan. The game play is mediocre at best. The blueprints aren't detailed well enough for beginners and it's a little annoying spending hours trying to get parts for your vehicle only to see it break down during a mission.
Banjo and Kazooie look awful, Banjo looks like his stony form, and Kazooie is like a 6 year old wearing her mom's makeup... Whoever thought they looked good was crazy.

I feel feel like l.o.g. was a representation of corporate intervention, and why do developers fail use the term "broadening the demographic" correctly. In quite a few instances "changing the demographic" was more appropriate.
I found this game pretty fun. Sure, it was a huge step sideways from the original series, but it was fun and aesthetically pleasing in different ways. That said, I do hope that Rare and MS decide to make a sequel that sticks closer to the original game.

I respect the idea of what the story was doing, but what went wrong was how this was based around cars and missions, I mean they should've used a different character but I think it was because Banjo was basically the top character that Rare still owned since Donkey Kong was still with Nintendo. Nintendo needs to get the rights to Banjo and give them to Retro, I mean look at DKC, Tropical Freeze is an amazing game (not to mention David Wise made a soundtrack that is able to rival DKC2's) if Retro got their hands on Banjo I bet we would see the Banjo Three-ie that we know we want.

It's funny how everyone's like, "Thanks to Microsoft we got this..." though it is Microsoft's fault for the long ass delay, it isn't their fault it turned into a racing simulator. Rare said themselves, they made the world so big it was hard to traverse on foot, so they got the idea to incorporate cars. It sucks because you could tell by the teaser they were going to make it like the original two. I'm just glad we're getting Yooka Laylee. Maybe one day we'll get a Banjo Threeie but, I doubt it'll ever be like the original two or Yooka Laylee.

Apart from the design of some characters - the main duo included - Yooka was absolute ass. Horribly spiritual successor. At least Lair was good.
The thing about Nuts & Bolts is that it is a good game, but it's not a great Banjo game. The comedy and meta jokes were great in this game, don't get me wrong. (The exception is what L.O.G. said about everybody just wants to shoot things. THAT is total horse shit.) It's just the vehicles, how complex the vehicle building is, how the worlds they go to aren't very full of life... The thing is this. If they are going to make more Banjo games, then they need to expand on what their predecessors did, but in the right direction. You have to compare Nuts & Bolts to the previous games in order to see it.
Nuts & Bolts isn't really a way for Rare to move the game series forward if they do wish to make another Banjo game. If they do bring back vehicles, then make them an addition to platforming gameplay rather than being the central focus with complex creation systems.
Banjo Kazooie was seen as a way to expand on what Super Mario 64 gave us when it comes to platforming. Banjo-Tooie brought us new moves to use for platforming as well as refining mechanics that were in the original. Nuts & Bolts... It's like they completely abandoned the Banjo formula and replaced it with something else entirely instead of expanding on what their predecessors did.
If people do like Nuts & Bolts, then all power to them. Like I said, it's a good game. It's just not a great Banjo game to me and a lot of other Banjo fans who were unhappy with the execution.

the game itself isnt bad. its actually pretty well, made. Its the fact that people expected Banjo Threeie, which i understand. But to he honest i realy enjoyed playing this game. And the soundtrack is great too.

This game is actually a very amazing game on its own, just not something you would expect to see in the Banjo-Kazooie series. at least most of the people that worked at rare in the Golden Age of the company left and have now formed playtonic games! Now we have Yooka-Laylee and Yooka-Laylee and The Impossible Lair. A spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country respectively.

From what I've heard, they were planning on making a classic Banjo-Kazooie game, but the worlds got so bug they had the idea of putting in vehicles. Then they got too many ideas involving the vehicles, and you can guess the rest. If only they had decided to make this a spin-off to keep fans waiting while they continued working on the classic Banjo...

I love, LOVE the Banjo-Kazooie series but I hate how I hated this game. Even my friend called me out saying I didn't complete Nuts & Bolts and I said my heart just wasn't into it. The intro and Banjo Land was probably the best part of this whole thing.
You have to admit, the game looks gorgeous. Spiral Mountain looks exactly like what a next gen Banjo-Kazooie game should look like.

As a teen ill never forget seeing Kazooie ask for her moves back and LOG answering: “you won’t be needing those, they’re outdated anyway” and really losing all faith in this game 🤣 I lost all faith. I had fun playing this game but not nearly as much fun as I did with its predecessors.

I am now legit crying. I was born in 2004 and this was pretty much my first game on a white Xbox 360, I remember coming out of the school and playing this every day. I still have it tho! I saw some walkthroughs and they were 4hours long. I was playing that game for 2 years and I still didn't finish it. Then I uninstalled it because I was downloading Forza Motorsport 4. Great times, I want them back.... PLEASE

I think that the L.O.G. was intentionally supposed to be unlikable, like he represents Microsoft and how they treat Rare and its employees, but god does he cross the line more than Rare needed him to. It also helps that the player never fights him when he should have been the final boss, and one could say that he's directly responsible for killing off the Banjo Kazooie franchise.
He really should have been the final boss. At least then the Banjo fans could have had some catharsis in beating him up. Fun fact: My sister has hated this game ever since it came out, and only recently did I mention how L.O.G. should have been the final boss, and she was like, "Wait, he ISN'T?!" All this time, she thought L.O.G. was the final boss, and she still hated the game. You can guess what her opinion of it is now.
If there's one thing I'd like for Nuts & Bolts to be carried over in Ultimate, it's the music.
That's pretty much the game's only saving grace.

Linktothe_Awesome I bought it just as an avid Banjo Kazooie fan. The game play is mediocre at best. The blueprints aren't detailed well enough for beginners and it's a little annoying spending hours trying to get parts for your vehicle only to see it break down during a mission.
This game was so good that I hope they make a Nuts & Bolts 2.

Fortnite tells you otherwise, and I am not saying this out of opinion, but rather observation.
I feel feel like l.o.g. was a representation of corporate intervention, and why do developers fail use the term "broadening the demographic" correctly. In quite a few instances "changing the demographic" was more appropriate.

I found this game pretty fun. Sure, it was a huge step sideways from the original series, but it was fun and aesthetically pleasing in different ways. That said, I do hope that Rare and MS decide to make a sequel that sticks closer to the original game.
