- Whats up everyone! We are back on US Soil for the Media Day ahead of Formula Drift Long Beach this weekend. Probably my favourite track in the game, but it finished out pretty dramatic with a big fire taking us out!
Team are working so hard wight now to get us back on track for this weekend - wish us luck!

props to the passenger for not panicking and having the belts coming off before the car even hit the wall.

he actualy waited for the impact and than released the belt, and jumped of before the car had stoped!!!!

First I saw that @driftgames had a fire then right after @JamesDeane had one and I can only say I am glad nobody was hurt crazy day for the Irish Fam

It’s been a rough week for Irish drifters. But can’t keep good people down @driftgames and @JamesDeane will overcome this without a doubt. James needs to get out there Saturday and win longbeach, would set the tone for the season and be a pretty big comeback story to beat for the season even tho it’s just round one!

This is a good reminder for everyone who drives racecars to make sure passengers are very comfortable with getting the belts off and bailing out before taking them on the track. Love the positive attitude from James and the team.

As someone who just spent 16 days in the utah burn icu i can tell you james and that passenger were very lucky! Burns are no joke! Props to both them for acting so quickly!

@@ChuckThree and last weekend my e46 caught on fire cause my wiper motor relay shorted while I was inside and the wipers just kept going for what must've been hours so the motor had got so hot that the pollen filter started smoldering but luckily my neighbour noticed and let me know it was smoking before the whole thing went up
Praise good neighbors. I had a scare a couple years ago, and now anything that isn’t my daily driver gets the battery pulled.

Well the crash with matt wasn't his fault at all. The mustang ain't even the most crashed car.

I'm truly thankful you and the passenger got out and the only thing lose was a car because that can always be replaced. Everyone was cool after, but damn that was a life or death situation if any steps were skipped to react in time and it didn't just explode. Blessing to you and your family, we can't lose you this early, you have plenty of life left as the legend you are.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Another fire. Fire has been causing havoc in the Irish driftscene. Danielle Murphy got her car burned down years ago, just the other day DriftGames HQ went up in flames and now James Deans RTR Mustang. When it comes to fires, even the luck of the Irish is not strong enough😢.

Nitrous is not flammable. it will only make existing fires hotter. it is an oxidizer. So there wouldnt have been an explosion or anything, but wouldnt have been great lol

Holy shit it got hot enough under there to just melt the carburetor 😳 that’s insane. Don’t think I’ve seen a fire get that hot like that. And it did it in seconds which is even more crazy to me. Glad you and your guy riding with you got out safe and sound from that. But just head down and grind it out and you’ll make it back. RTR crew has their work cut out but they got this 👊🏻👊🏻

Ive always said to myself that im glad that you were not in any fire incidents before because you guys built cars yourself but time comes and it happens. Whats even crazier is that it happen in a BIG team- RTR but good thing is you are well and the passnger that all it matters.
I'm so glad you and the fan are OK that's a scary fire. I've always thought that fans should also have a fire suit on during these ride alongs. Even if the suit is lose, it will still help. It could have been so much worse if the fan didn't know how to get the belts off quickly
