i been brewing a reptile control pile for months, imo all reptiles needs is some good extenders that arent fcked by 1 handtrap. You have so many finishing tools from aliens, ogdoadic and reptilianne i can almost taste the rogue-rank

They are actually a bunch of reptile extenders that are still OCG exclusives and not in Master Duel yet surprisingly so you might have an opportunity to prove this.

I will never forget when Ogdoatics were revealed and the Snake Rain buyouts were real.

I still use them they fun even if they not really relevant
They were a deck that had so much potential but they are basically only boss monsters, doing nothing if Snake Rain gets Ashed. They need some play starters for sure.
Tl;dr, deck had potential that was never tapped into. Rip those who bought out Snake Rain instead of waiting for the cheaper copies.
Snake Rain gets bought out any time a new reptile archtype is revealed.
This might be one of my favorite series, it's just so comfy to see "F-Tier Decks" doing their best.~
F tier deck “summons dpe first turn”. Reoccurring removal with 0 cost on standby, mtg already did this. It’s called rebound. The reason why it worked for them was because they didn’t print it on creatures that have built in removal. I’m so happy I just play runick slifer because if dark souls taught me anything, you kill cheese with more cheese.
Also people freak out when they get milled I love how mtgs worst archetype is meta in yugioh

Nothing is more frustrating than barely have a drop of that rogue status when you know how powerful a deck is
This is my all time favorite deck. I played a similar build and honestly the deck is SO close to being a good deck. The cards are legit insane. Just needs a little more support.

If you're looking for the Alien build to be viable, what's needed is an alien hand trap that spreads a counters. You can give it the same activation requirements as nyami.
Having a reliable way to spread A counters that's searchable off of Echidna makes Ze'roll set ups way stronger and more consistent.
Give it some Xyz monsters, Konami! A Rank 8 and a Rank 4 would go so far to help the deck!
@@VexDylan level 8s are your boss monsters so it would contradict with the archetype a little and honestly i think they need a single negate or something the deck plays through so much but ends on bootleg bagooska

This deck would be a lot of fun to play, but apparently konami decided it has as many URs as a spright deck...
It's the biggest issue with archetype mashup decks. Konami do a relatively good job of limiting the number of URs per archetype (mainly because they all come from one pack, and a pack will only have so many URs). But if you're mashing archetypes together, you're most likely taking the best of each archetype, which are almost always the URs.
It's why hero ends up being hit with the cost stick so bad, because that deck is now a mish mash of every different hero archetype, and master duel considers each one a different archetype.
Sooo I've been cooking an Ogdoadic Ishizu Grass pile on Master Duel (no Alien or Reptilianne abuse in this one), and to my surprise I just see this video come out. Would it be stale to submit a take on Ogdoadic to the bottom table where we abuse the hell out of multiple engines which usually results in decking the opponent out with their own Maxx C? Does Farfa wanna see more Ogdoadic replays?
Maybe the fact it uses Grass and Ishizu it might be too similar to other combos or have too many broken staples.

What I wanna know is why the hell every "Ogdoadic" deck is just Reptile pile (Repile?) instead of using Chaos cards. Like, Ogdoadics are perfect for Chaos.
And I love the usage of the phrase "all three archetypes" because nobody remembers Venom and Worms exist.
Also Mr. Bus should change his name to Mr. Based for playing Lair Ogdoadics.
i've been building some pretty heinous shit with PUNK and now the ishizu cards, so I do think this is not Ogdo at its best. still the reptpile is a fun deck, so nice to see it given a fair look.
And also there are good cards to send off of snake rain, it's just that the cards you're sending can usually accomplish the same things without snake rain.
Ofc it's not ogdoadic at it's best, it's "Bottom Table" for a reason. If u add Ishizu cards it's not F tier anymore, is it

@@rayzrytb9213 Even if you don't add the Ishizu cards its not F tier, in fact you have to go out of your way to add bad cards like Aliens to get them to be F tier.

And cmd isn't a requirement in this type of build, plus it appears they might've had a no good cards rule or something I guess.
Ogdoadic PUNK is actually good as fck. It gave me an OTS tournament second place during Branded format. Unfortunately, the Chaos ruler hit was fatal for the deck in the TCG.
As someone, who played Ogdoadic since relaese untill the ban of Chaosruler its hard to watch other people playing it. The "pure" reptile piles are just not good. The Zer'Oll lock is too fragile. I simply don't understand why none of the players played Chaosruler in this video. The card`s perfect in the deck and enables to combine ogdoadics with a chaos package. It has so much synergy and is in my opinion definitely the best hybrid. Idk why its that much overlooked.

I run Ogdoadic zombies, it's a rank 8/synchro 10 spam deck with zombie world to tie your banished and graveyard into a second resource pool.
Reusing mezuki every turn on monsters your opponent has to out like baren, chengying, Balerdroch, and Titanic Galaxy, or steal your opponents monsters with vampire fascinator.
The only hiccups is under zombie world, serpent strike and water Lilly's second effect won't work. That and nunu locks you into reptiles.
Nevermind this entire video, "Reptillianne Enchilada" are the two words that made this video gold
Poor Ogdoadics, they have a lot of potencial but they are forgotten. Konami only revealed them 1 support card in 2 years lmao.

This was a great episode. Deck was super sick (though admittedly ending on what is essentially Skill Drain is p lame) and the commentary was well-paced. Loved it!
Well, what else did you expect? Konami first thing they do to "revive an old archetype" is give them a floodgate, and it's not like there is really anything better to do.

As a newish player one thing i would reccomend to other new players is to invest in small generic engines like the brave's. you can throw that in most decks to a degree of success and it reduces the cost to building a new deck to test if you like it.
Feels good to see people actually playing and experimenting with one of my favorite archetypes. Might have just one very fragile out to all meta-negation but at least it exists. Og-do-a-dics, love them sneks

IMO the only problem Ogdoadics have is consistency. I run an invoked variant, and my ending board regularly consists of Mechaba, Titanic Galaxy, Hyperytron, and Aron. 3 negates with a search disruption on such beefy monsters is really good, and the ability to come back from the grave with nothing is also really good.
Ogdoabyss is an excellent main-deck boss monster with it's mass non-targeting non-destruction quick effect removal, and the combination of Aron + Amunessia disrupt the opponent in obtuse but effective ways. They can summon Numeron Dragon to OTK and Melusine is an excellent wall that many decks can't out without zeroing out most of their board.
When i said on the first video i can't wait to see the decks i play this is exactly what i ment. Good to see the representation of me and the other 5 dedicated reptile pile players 👍

Dude, as a chad Noble Knight enjoyer, the fact that Isolde has the animation annoys the fuck out of me. Like, why doesn't Sacred Noble Knight of King Artorigus have an animation? It's the actual boss monster of the archetype...
One in locals, I think I went 2-2 that day, It was a while ago so can't remember it clearly, but I remember losing to Aleister the snake charmer.

Ngl, that was the saddest T2 board for a Snake Deck ive seen in a while. Guess i was too used to Snake Ananta T2 OTKs. Meanwhile Duel 2 T1 Snake Board was very very good.
That was the board through multiple disruptions. Honestly my goal was to make sure zer'oll would stick because I had no way to keep DPE from coming back and no other counters to it in my opening hand. I didn't know about the snow or that he would top deck grass at that point, but that also worked out

I slapped a lair of darkness with this deck... it becomes a better kaiju deck and changing everything to dark is hilarious. get ss monster from my gy by tributing their mirrorjade, apollo, baron, dpe, or w/e they have... and since its cost... that cannot react XD throw in some lava golems in atk position, use link repitliane mon to make its atk 0 and smack them with a 9k numeron drag. I just added alien support last week with the therion alles to give me a turn one play, because people just let u go first in game 2 and I end up sitting there like... wtf I do now?

This was neat. I tried to play snakes in duel links once and clearly the reason it didn't work is because you need all 3 archetypes to do anything good
You can get by with two archetypes so long as one is Odgo, Nunu is super important to the deck.
The aliens are the least important part of that, you can make do with just ogdoadic and reptilianne. You can also build the deck differently, as you saw this was more of a midrange deck but you can go full control with lair/the other ogdo bosses or more combo-intensive with the reptilianne tuners and maybe even go for chaos plays

zombie player had full combo if he played the lvl 2 normal fusion monster thats a tuna. normal snow, fusion into lvl 2 tuna, lvl synchro into immortal dragon send mezuki, reborn uni, and youre off to the races
he drew the fusion off allure and had to banish uni-zombie so he wouldnt have had the uni to revive

Reptile.dek is missing a consistent end goal. Slicer is funny, but A. requires 2 cards minimum (slicer and a card that spreads counters constantly) to do the job of 1 card (skill drain, inspector boarder, etc) and B. isn't fun. Ogdoabyss is a nondestructive boardwipe, but getting it out requires a lot of work and it's a brick in the hand. Lastly, reptilianne...just work on a different wavelength from modern sensibilities (all their cards EITHER reduce opposing monsters to 0 atk consistently or have decent effects if the opponent controls monsters with 0 attack, but 2 card combos are not where you want to be in modern day).
I'm waiting for the day a reptile archetype slips through the cracks without triple checking the trillion busted support cards though, because there haven't been enough train wrecks involving old cards that people forgot existed.

just wanna say that adding any of the other reptile types into ogdoadic makes its extremely weaker. the only card you want in the deck from the other archetypes is coatl and you dont play reptiles in the extra deck except for imp at 1 maybe 2.
