    Nolf was grounded when the 2nd push out was given. And no passivity on red in the match?

    • @scourge8097
      @scourge8097 Рік тому +5

      Not really. He was off his knees and fighting a single.
      And no, the Iranian was controlling the center of the mat and taking ground all match. It was mostly by getting that bullshit "finger" Wrestling, then a two on one into a nasty snap, so it's blocking, a stall move that he actually uses to try and get you off balance near the edge so he can get a push out.
      That's why I don't like the push-out in Freestyle. I also think the shot clock should stop if you're in a scoring position...-then IF you don't end up scoring, you lose the point. But Nolf could have finished a TD there, but he wanted to get that off before the shot clock went off or it's a 2 point swing.
      But nah, that was a fairly reffed match.
      Cary Kolat would DIE for reffing like this! Nobody...in the HISTORY OF SPORTS has been screwed more than Cary Kolat.

      @@scourge8097 I agree with the shot clock stuff but holding center in the first is garbage. I’m sick of the finger grabbing crap too. I see it everywhere. That and extended arm stall. Back in the day you could get passivity for a collar tie. You were blocking with your forearm.

    Nolf is at the edge of beating another bronze medalist. Dake was teched 11-0 in Tokyo and ended up with his only Olympic showing ever being a 3rd place finish. 4X NCAA champion Dake was blocked from Olympic competition for a full decade by Burroughs and Cox.

      International mats are a canvas and cover... here in the states we use the like rubber neoprene stuff... but anyone who competes over seas will see these mats... they go to all the big tournaments... because like boxing they have an Olympic committee who actually runs the events... it has to be the same everywhere... except in our own styles... which is folktale wrestling which is only done here in the states
