Congratulations to Jason! Impressive win.
Great sportsmanship between these two competitors. Kudos to both.
Younes headsnap is real. Looks like he been to Cael's ankle pick school.
Haven't seen Nolf this winded before
Man those 2 were gassed at the end. Good match!
2 tough guys.
Nolf was grounded when the 2nd push out was given. And no passivity on red in the match?
Not really. He was off his knees and fighting a single.
And no, the Iranian was controlling the center of the mat and taking ground all match. It was mostly by getting that bullshit "finger" Wrestling, then a two on one into a nasty snap, so it's blocking, a stall move that he actually uses to try and get you off balance near the edge so he can get a push out.
That's why I don't like the push-out in Freestyle. I also think the shot clock should stop if you're in a scoring position...-then IF you don't end up scoring, you lose the point. But Nolf could have finished a TD there, but he wanted to get that off before the shot clock went off or it's a 2 point swing.
But nah, that was a fairly reffed match.
Cary Kolat would DIE for reffing like this! Nobody...in the HISTORY OF SPORTS has been screwed more than Cary Kolat.
@@scourge8097 I agree with the shot clock stuff but holding center in the first is garbage. I’m sick of the finger grabbing crap too. I see it everywhere. That and extended arm stall. Back in the day you could get passivity for a collar tie. You were blocking with your forearm.
@@scourge8097 Kolat could write the book on getting screwed by bad or no calls
Great match despite no takedowns . Both guys gave it their all .
Golf got a 2 pt takedown. Yes they were both winded for sure, good match.
@@chrissmith1364it looked more like 1 to me
It was a 2, that is why the score went from 1-0 to 3-0
@@RS-tz2zn how was that 2?
@@LakeNonaFan Because it was a takedown because he landed on top of him as they landed out of bounds at the end of a continuous action while executing a hold?
Bro I didn’t know the choir showed up lol dang that’s annoying lol
Nolf is at the edge of beating another bronze medalist. Dake was teched 11-0 in Tokyo and ended up with his only Olympic showing ever being a 3rd place finish. 4X NCAA champion Dake was blocked from Olympic competition for a full decade by Burroughs and Cox.
Looks alot like a Kyle Snyder match. Really doesn't look like there's much action but you know they're working super hard. Cuz there both exhausted at the end. Great match congrats to Nolf!
🎉
How that was a 2?
What was the last point that was given to the wrestler from Iran for?
I thought it was a stalling call
Fleeing the hold. Wrestlers must continue to engage. Not that it made any difference but it's not great sportsmanship and it's a shame to see from top level guys.
This time next year most people believe it will be JB or Nolf that goes to Paris. Nolf is improving every month!
Dake??
@@iakXI Dake is a powerhouse! Just not technical enough for the guys at that level. 10 go to the worlds - only 6 go to the Olympics. WAY tougher wrestlers and Dake got teched 11-0 second round last time.
@@iakXI Dake has no chance at this level. He went to Tokyo and got teched 11-0. He's a powerhouse - just not a technician. At this level you have to be both. 10 slots at the worlds - only 6 Olympic slots and they ALL bring their A Game!
@@quincyspielberger4366 he’s a 4x world champion and an Olympic bronze medalist. You sound absolutely obnoxious saying he has no chance to compete. Please never ever give an opinion again on the sport of wrestling Quincy.
@@iakXI I'm guessing you haven't seen Nolf's huge improvements - AND you missed the Tokyo Olympics where Dake got teched 11-0?!?! Have you ever wrestled?
lmao I see the importance of drilling grappling against the cage
Trying take down Nolf is like trying to bath a cat in the sink. hey why are the mats all loosey goosey?
International mats are a canvas and cover... here in the states we use the like rubber neoprene stuff... but anyone who competes over seas will see these mats... they go to all the big tournaments... because like boxing they have an Olympic committee who actually runs the events... it has to be the same everywhere... except in our own styles... which is folktale wrestling which is only done here in the states
Folkstyle vs freestyle
This guy is a bit better than the guys Nolf dominated in college.
Why is UA-cam putting on all these “are you gay” ads on that are from Hong Kong ?
Lol
What a mess
Everyone gets ads tailored to their own internet browsing, so.....
I don't get it. Red scored the last point, so under freestyle rules, in the event of the tie, the last to score is declared the winner. Or is that just the Olympics?
Nolf had higher scoring move when he got that takedown. Two point move trumps last score
@@chip7772000 So in the event of a tie, the person with the higher scoring last move wins?
I’m pretty sure the criteria is determined by highest scoring move, then number of cautions someone has, then the last person who scored.
@@777Skeptic yeah, so say they both had a takedown in no particular order, then nolf got a pushout and was winning 3-2; should the other guy get a pushout and tie it up he would win
Two point score criteria for blue

So melodramatic. I’m a big fan of yours Ryan, but Jesus this is too much.
Sheesh
Ehhh

Those mats look trash.
Crappy ref.
