After living here in CB most of my life, we finally got up there this fall! It was gorgeous. We did the mountain and overlook trails that day (and Sugarloaf, too), all for the first time. Must return...

Been there, that drive down the one side of the mountain on that dirt road was enough to raise the heart rate. Stayed at both campgrounds. Had a nice stay at both.

@@daveyandsky roused my wife early for a sunrise breakfast and snapped a pic of the sunrise over the ocean, my mother liked to paint, she made a painting of the pic for me. The place is so noteworthy that Bill Watterson even made a Calvin and Hobbes comic strip about it.
My favorite place to stay in Cape Bretton ..... I have one of my old decals up in the campground office.

Meat Cove is awesome !
Still haven't made it up there yet I tried in the spring but my puppy cut her paw and I had to call off the hiking and running adventure I had planned. Oh well by the time we get there next year she'll be a trail running machine!

Want an electric low roof Ford Transit. Not to build into tiny house...but just for camping gear needs or haul plants for landscaping. "module". So Cape Breton has charging stations and could go from Sydney to Meat Cove on one charge. I would add small things, like electric radiant floor heating and bear proof screen mesh (real thing). 🐻
