Thank you for reviewing our deck💜 I visited the Hoh for the first time last year and used my photos as reference… so those are the actual trees in the hall of mosses. What a gorgeous park you have to explore!
Thank you for helping to bring forth this lovely creation! I feel it's going to be meaningful for quite a few people, as already expressed in the comments. I went back and added your website to the description box. I see you have playing cards. I just might need those as well. 😉💜
Oh thanks so much! My very first project with Mountaineers was my book Rise & Roar - a journal to encourage women to get outside and explore. We are definitely kindred spirits 💙
This deck speaks right to me, even if I'm far away from the great US National Parks. But we do have great nature in Europe as well 😂 I have already ordered it, but it takes some time to get it shipped all the way to Germany. Thank you for reading from the book, Kristen, that made me love it even more. I can't wait to hold it in my hand in about two weeks. I love the court cards very much. The activeness of queens and kings, which are shown very static in most decks. Have a great time with these wonderful cards 😘
Omg!! The Hall of mosses!!!! I spent my birthday there one yr and had a barred owl waiting for me on this huge curved branch. I stood there for an hour bc i couldn’t believe what an incredible gift i had been granted. That Hall is my happy place.
I'm looking forward to adding this to my collection + enjoyed hearing your thoughts. I don't know the American parks - I've been to very few - but I love our provincial parks and see commonalities in many of the landscapes, plus love just seeing my favourite activities in tarot art.
I love how so many countries have their own versions of national and state parks, and how much they mean to people regardless of location. I hope you love this one when you get it.
I am so glad someone finally talks about this tarot in a positive light. People complain about it (card stock, confusing minors etc) way too much. Thank you for this walk through 😊
Thank you! It's such a charming and different tarot. I mentioned in a recent video that I've shuffled the heck out of this deck and the cards still look brand new. Thank you for watching and commenting. 🙂💜
@@Amidst_the_Grey It is definitely going on my list, I am doing a no buy in 2024 but this one might just qualify for a birthday present from my family 😊
This could have been a favorite deck for me. The cardstock is unfortunate though, and will limit how much it is used. If they reissued an edition with good cardstock I'd rebuy it for sure. Outstanding imagery, Clever concept, and I feel very connected as I live in Western Canada which is very relatable to the great outdoors. I hope they do another edition and then more people will give this deck a chance!
I freaking love this deck PS too funny I’m a be quiet while I flip through except for a few occasions by card 4 commentary begins lol GREAT video thank you for giving enough time to see the cards 🫶🏼
Thank you for sharing this deck, I love it! The Emperor is spot on. I lost it when you shared it that card. I'm going out of town but I'm ordering it and having it delivered to where I'll be staying.
What a cool deck, K! Thank you for sharing this with us...I had no idea this existed. The Death card is gorgeous 😮 I enjoyed your commentary throughout. Love the 9 of Pentacles (chantrelles-yes!), and that the Page of Pentacles is a campground host! I immediately recognized Zion's Angel's landing walk (Temperence)...I remember scrambling along that fearlessly in my early 20's with my mother behind me (can only imagine her terror ridden thoughts 😂). What a phenomenal deck and great walkthrough! ❤
This is an incredible deck! I was tempted when I saw it mentioned on Lisa's channel but saw someone's first reaction to their deck on FB and wondered if it would really work for me. But seeing this and tearing up at the 7 of Wands because it reminded me of my stepdad who passed unexpectedly several years ago, I know I need to bring it into my collection 🩷
I don't read with many RWS-based decks but I quite like this one. I was waiting for it for a few months and it showed up on Amazon (in Italy) only to get awful reviews due to cardstock being so thin and then it became unavailable. :-/ Having seen your walkthrough I wish I had preordered it. It's quite lovely and atmospheric.
I need this! This deck came out on my 40th birthday, September 1st. I too live in western Washington, a half a block to a rails to trails entrance. What part of Washington do you live, the peninsula? I'm in Skagit County.
This is the 3rd walkthrough I've seen, and it looks gorgeous. I am definitely adding this deck. I live in Utah, and many of these parks are in my backyard. I'm glad to hear you defend the cardstock as I have heard that as the only complaint.

You're making me love this deck more.

would like to hear your thoughts if you get it @aquamarine18 . I'm a bit thrown by a few the scene choices ... not sure how I would read those.

@@Tarotismagic Sounds reasonable to me! I'm on a no-buy for quarter 1, so I'm rooting for you!

Perhaps they will if there is enough interest.

I had a lot to say about this one!
I love this deck. You did a great walkthrough! Really enjoyed it.
🤗💜

Thank you for watching! I love your memory of Zion. That's fabulous.

I love that Seven of Sticks! What a lovely association.
Cool Emperor on El Capitan
Agreed!

Hopefully you'll come across it again. The cards are definitely thin, but totally usable.
I wasn't happy with the card stock at first. But the more I use it the more I like it.
That's so good to hear! I hope more people will give it a chance.

Yep! OlyPen. Love Skagit. It's magical up there.
What a gorgeous deck! I'm sorry to hear from reviews about the cardstock though. I'm sad to say that's probably going to put me off buying the deck.
I can see that. I intend to be pretty selective as far as usage of this one. If it were an everyday tarot, it would probably wear down pretty quickly.
This is the 3rd walkthrough I've seen, and it looks gorgeous. I am definitely adding this deck. I live in Utah, and many of these parks are in my backyard. I'm glad to hear you defend the cardstock as I have heard that as the only complaint.
Yep, that seems to be the only deterrent. Maybe they'll do a reissue eventually.
Yikes, I like this deck..
Me too! 🤩
