Hi, I will be coming out of the BWCA then so we will miss each other! I never like to overpack, layers in colder weather is important and clothing made out of merino wool will be essential. This pack is my Hudson Bay pack and it's great. Our 130 year old patented #4 Duluth Pack is also great. Let us know how your trip goes!
maybe it might be helpful to pack in order of what you'll need last...(the sleeping bag is needed after the tent is up, etc.)..I've been packing my sleeping bag and mattress first, followed by my dry clothes..followed by my tent...rain gear, tarp , first aid, next meal go in last
I'm going on a 6 day 7 night BWCA trip (pumped) September 16th-22nd I'm sure I will need a large pack do to warmer clothing! What pack do you recommend? I like the look of this pack!!!
This summer will be my first time in the bwca, I've looked at several packs (Duluth pack of course) and am not sure which to get. The pathfinder looks nice, I was recommended the original #3 (w/ leather shoulder straps) and this Hudson looks good as well. Duluth pack, which do I take??

Have to unpack the whole thing to get your tarp?
Maybe tie it on outside, it is waterproof afterall.
