One of my favorite movement's of J. S. Bach, played so touchingly by young men of my home land, Croatia. I am very proud of these talented men and Thank God for both the and them...both gift from The Holy Trinity.

Moved to tears. As a young boy I played the Bach double very often during violin lessons with the friend who had lesson after me. Now I improvise intuitively most of the time and have discovered the world of telepathic musical communications. Luka and Stjepan combine both worlds. OMG I absolutely LOVE this piece....and the Two Cellos. I always picture William Hurt trying to "show" Marlee Matlin how to see or feel music. It was poignant, and sad, and this music depicts it perfectly.
I'm sure that I have heard this piece not a few times, none of them with any particular stirring. These two turn me into a sodden puddle of mush. Music is profoundly visceral. When a performer reaches above the mechanics on the page and taps into the work's pathos they often enter a lucid level of flow. Wrong notes and inhibitions are not an equation at that point. It's always breathtaking to witness.

It's hard to say which is more beautiful -- this version by two cellos or the way Bach wrote it, for two violins. Both versions are very moving.
