@@superscatboy Hah. I tried to get my friends to watch Gaijin Hunter vids, and give them tips based on what I learned from him. On co-op, I think the natural evolution of the flare system in World to connect with other players would be a slightly more organic drop in co-op system for this one. I'm so excited for this game and to see where the vision of the development has taken us. People were skeptical when they first showed World and I think there will be more skepticism seeing such a dramatic shift in presentation but this team doesn't disappoint.
I was thinking imagine just out in the open world and literally running into another hunter hunting while wandering, or finding a way to run your hunt into someone else's. Or out and about and a flare pops up off in the distance. Also having your own custom camp sites wherever you want or group camps even. The hope for a truly open world game where you can start and end your game out in the wilds fascinates me.
I hope its massive, like bigger than Red Dead 2 levels of massive, that way a Mohran hunt would really shine as it wouldn't feel like you are restricted by the map size.
@@YouMystMe red dead 2 map isn't even that big. It's your limited ability to travel that makes it feel as such. Works very well don't get me wrong. I'm just always surprised when a half map travel doesn't actually take that long. And yes I want a big map for the bad boy morhan to be on. And a new fight without the ships
@@undertaker2766 Yeah I completely agree, its just one of the few maps that made me feel like I was in a massive environment. They also managed to cram in a ton of variation without the change between them feeling too sudden and unnatural, hopefully MH captures this. Worlds maps didnt make me *feel* like I was in a massive environment enough imo.
I noticed the light bow gun too, I think it would be interesting instead of being able to restock at the camps you have to take everything on your mount. That way there would be more prep that goes into a hunt like in the past.
That would be a more "return to the roots" kind of decision. I see pros and cons of it, but I think we just want a fun game and if this goes on a more "planner" route or a more gung-ho approach, I'd love it regardless.
So a hybrid system of "you can have a lot of things, but not THAT MANY things"? I think I can get behind that. An extra weapon, and like, half an inventory of items?
@@rpglover101 yeah exactly very minimal amount of items. I have a lot of good memories of actually having to go around the map finding herbs and blue mushrooms because I ran out of potions during a hunt I felt like a real hunter and was genuinely scared of the monster. I would like to get that feeling back. Even if it's something small.
Counter argument. Palico and Palamutes can use weapons. This thing has opposable thumbs. I'M GIVING IT A GUN, A LANCE TO CHARGE ATTACK LIKE ME OR WE DO SICK GREATSWORD COMBOS TOGETHER!
For me, what sprung to mind when I saw the light bowgun sticking out of the saddlebag was a kind of limited tent you carry around with you. As in: before every hunt, you can choose a selection of spare items and equipment (like one extra weapon) to take with you on your mount, and that's how you restock in a hunt. Instead of just going back to the tent where you have basically unlimited refills, you have a limited resupply cache. That's just my take, at least. Maybe I'm wrong.
Including that maybe you (the hunter) have a limited inventory yourself. So instead of 30 places for your items on your person it 15 places, while your mount has much larger inventory. I can imagine the mad dash to your mount to get some healing pots or ammo 😂!
It made me think of maybe a weapon switching system. You pick 2 and can use them throughout the hunt. Be cool if it was a seamless swap. My other (personal) hope is the first mission takes you out to capture and tame your personal mount. Maybe like a right of passage for all hunters in the village
Very pumped for the little mount friend. You can see him switching between three modes: bipedal walk/jog, dropping on all fours for the sprinting and terrain, and the glide over short distances. But the most important question is: CAN WE PET HIM??
There was a slew of petting animations with palicos and palamutes in rise. Heck you could even pet the the tiny owl. I only need poogie to return for my petting needs!
I'm almost as excited for the game itself, as I am for your coverage of it. Your analysis of in game data and insight due to your japanese have always been amazing!!
One "minor" feature that could be a huge gamechanger for me would be Freecam/ a way to replay hunts. Its really cool how the Monster Hunter content scene has grown and I especially love all the edits people make that demonstrate how raw and visceral these games feel (shoutout to sunhilegend!)
I think an open world monster hunter game would be such an interesting concept. Imagine registering for a quest and sending the paperwork off on a carrier pidgeon, but instead of being taken to the map the monster’s on, you are already in the map and have to now go out and actually hunt down the the thing. Itd be a real cool way to bring back the hunting process from older MH games while keeping world’s streamlined features Im not sure if wilds will be Open world or not, but it is definitely and interesting thought
It would be awsome to have catastrophic quests that puts large groups of hunters up against crazy monsters. Like with spawn rates. Like jhen mohran but with 100 hunters.
I have a feeling that our little bird fella is gonna be our own 'portable camp' so to speak! Seeing all the different rolls on the bird's back really gives off that vibe to me, which enforces the idea of an open world game. Could also be a good way to perhaps limit the infinit items and just bring with just one more item loudout that we can assign to the bird? Just spit balling here lol.
But the bird is supposed to represent a mount that you ride on. I had a feeling they were going to bring back the mount feature. From Monster Hunter Rise the palamute was popular so I am not surprised.
@angelinarobbins1567 I agree with everything you said! My point was how it looks as though they've expanded upon the mount by making it carry our camp equipment. To what extent? I'm not too sure, but based on the bedrolls, they are a big clue.
@Hell_Soll Yeah, I think it'd made for a good replacement over just infinitely resupplying items. I think bringing at least on other item load out would make it a bit more balanced.
With the lightning rods, I noticed that the first lightning strike that hits in the storm, actually strikes the back of a monster. So those lightning rods have probably been harvested of those creatures and formed into those since they appear to be man-made but that also opens up a possibility that there’s just really big versions of those that have died and their rods stayed there. I am super pumped for this, and will be watching with bated breath to see how it develops because there is a massive potential for this and I am all for it.
Seeing as the animal in the trailer are based on pangolins, pangolins feed mainly on termites so i assume those giant rods are termite mounds adapted to attract lighting
@@marcogarcia7944 THAT'S the animal I was trying to think of! I knew it was some kind of anteater-ish thing, but couldn't remember exactly which. Thanks for reminding me! (Which is silly of me, considering I'm a DotA diehard and one of the heroes in that game is just a swashbuckling anthropomorphic pangolin. His name is literally "Pangolier" lol) ...Also for some reason my browser spellchecker doesn't think "pangolin" is a real word and that makes me sad. :(
The armadillos with the big spikes also act as natural lightning rods to protect their herd (and likely the hunter if nearby), which is seen in the same screenshot where you talk about the light bow gun, you can see it literally get struck by lightning and then the spike is lit up with electrical energy.
I'm so hyped for this! I love the idea of fighting something huge like a Gammoth out on an open plane with a herd of Popo's around. Or seeing some monsters actually hunt other monsters, not a just a quick two-minute turf war animation. I'm also really curious to see what they're going to do with Monster AI and how much different they'll be from the older titles. The idea of a Tigrex actually being smart enough to stalk you and not just try and bulldoze you the second it sees you sounds awesome.
.... Ganmoth... This isnt bdo and it will away does better then bdo, gammoth was suck mh have safi jiva the better real red dragon ,want bigger ? We got akamaxhu dulamadalous and zorah all better then what bdo have
I think I’ve read somewhere that Tigrex will change its hunting method based on where it is. Like in a sandy area it will stalk prey because it can blend into the environment better and in snowy mountains and forests it chases instead. I think it would be cool to implement a behavior like this.
I would love if they brought back the more robust mini games and features, like a better farming system, fishing, mining, etc. Something other than the hunts that could be great to explore and maybe making it interactive with other players.
@@666slateran666 Yeah, the (currently) 54 people who liked the idea definitely don't exist. When I picked up Rise and subsequently Sunbreak, it felt like I was pretty much just doing hunts after hunts after hunts, nothing in-between, and it just got kinda monotonous. I know it's called Monster Hunter, but there needs to be SOMETHING else in the game.
@@Boyzby yeah because rise is a throwback to the 3ds and psp style games. They aren't meant to be grinded for long periods of times. It's literally designed around you taking the bus to work. Also fishing might be a thing but I don't see us foraging for materials. It could happen but who knows at this point. All we do know is it's open world
I would too, but honestly, if we're supposed to be spending a lot of time in the field (which is the vibe I'm getting) a farm might be kind of contradictory to the rest of the game. Especially if it's truly an open world with no loading screens, going out and grabbing the things you need won't be such a hassle.
I think what we see with the "palamute" and the weapon it is carrying, is that it will be a mobile camp. Like there is no more going back to camp to refill indefinitely. You can equip yourself, you can equip the mount, and thats the equipment you are going to hunt with. You can choose to bring another weapon, if you want, but thats it. Like an additional pouch basically, to change up your setup.
I really really want to see all the Biomes connected, because the monster ecology clearly shows cross biome travel and routines its just that due to the biomes being divided we dont get to see it play out in full glory. a great example is odogaron which nested in the rotten vale but hunted in the coral highlands. allowing cross biomes monster activity would really make it feel even more alive and open the door for more monsters with cross biome ecology which would even play into encounter variety, where the same quest may have you fight in an ice biome catching a monster that is on the hunt, vs fighting near its nest in a forest biome.
Welcome back Gaijin! I remember watching your guides for Tri and I have listened to every Third Fleet Podcast with you and Rui. I appreciate your time, happy hunting!
Very interesting find with the light bowgun, didn't notice that at first. I'm leaning toward hunters will now have both a melee and ranged weapon, but definitely even more intrigued now either way.
Im kinda leaning towards : 1) there wont be a base camp, or atleast not as much and probably pretty scarce, but you can bring your own camping set and set a hotspot yourself 2) since camp is no more, or atleast the camp built by the hunter's guild, we cant have our items and equipment be fully transferred to the box in every camp, but instead you can bring your main weapon and secondary weapon, some sets of items and you can change/restock to only those that you bring with you, elevating the "preparation" vibe of the old games
I really hope that's what it is. I've always hated the boring meta that ranged weapons brought to the table because they do not have any of the limitations of the melee weapons while also being used against the same monsters. Them becoming sub-weapons would be really good imo.
IMO it's going to be having a spare weapon of your choice. The best justification for forcing a melee + ranged weapon combo is that potentially this game's more open nature necessitates us having ranged options to keep up with the combat. However, I doubt that'll be necessary, the armorset closeup seemingly reveals the Slinger is back, giving all players a universal option to do something to monsters from a distance and potentially knock them back down. Add that to the wider problem of there only being 3 ranged weapontypes, two of which are derivatives of each other, IMO it's more likely it will just be bringing one spare weapon. It'll also help elemental weapon viability a lot, something the World team became very conscious of doing in Iceborne
you mentioning it's actually a grassland covered in mist reminds me of how Elder Dragon's change the envirement on it's present, which is so cool in a open world game! Like if a elder dragon show up, you'll instantly know that since the entire area are straight up changed, and it would build so much fun a life when as the area is constantly changing, also sandstorm Elder let's go!
I'm looking forward to weather mechanics especially when Elders are involved, imagine clashing multi weather interactions that change the entire landscape as they fight with each other and you. It will be like Wild Hearts on steroids. I'm also expecting mounted combat to be the main focus of this with crazy traversal and agile movesets.
One thing I liked of Wild Hearts was the building aspect and how you can make different things with it. If Monster Hunter could give it a spin on that idea, I honestly would love it.
Could see something like my idea of a "Silverback" Rajang, a "Rainbringer Rajang that has so much electrical power it basically carries a rainstorm around with it and can cause erratic thunderbolts (like Kirin with less control) by flexing its power.
@@notsae66 Yea I think this is an idea that has been floating over people's heads, I personally call it Rajang Blue. An ancient Rajang that has consumed so much Kirin that it has gained blue lightning over it's white fur. We already had some SSJ God with bits of red fur, so its natural to go SSJ Blue.
I love the color scheme for the feathers and scales of the new mount, very tropical. If that is in fact the new gathering leather set I think it looks fantastic.
Hey GH! Glad to hear from you! As the next MH cycle begins, please try not to take things too seriously. You don't need to make detailed weapon guides if you don't want to, I'm just as excited to see a video where you show off your favorite outfit.
Aaahh!! I missed you so much! You were the first tutorial video I ever watched for mh4u back when it came out and I had no idea how to play lol. this announcement got me hyped up not just for the gameplay itself but even the teasers, what new monsters there will be, returning ones and the possible story.
I will say that the level of details is outstanding.... the small armadillos travel in packs with the alpha showing off why that is even the case.... they are safer around him due to the lightning catching ability We may even have to do the same if we don't want a random hit (like in FFX) ahahah totally love it
Oh my God I just had a nostalgic moment at the beginning when you say "hey guys! this is gaijin hunter". Brings me back to the day I just got MHW and watched almost all of your MH related videos ever since. Good ol time I tell ya. It's good to have you back
The static electric dust storm is so cool, the pangolins small monters probably use those lightning spike to protect the entire herd from the static dust storm
The mount almost looks like an evolved woodland pteryx from world. They had similar colours, moved on all fours and could glide short distances too with the wings on its forelegs.
I just realised, this is probably the only game where they could add underwater as an expansion! There could be a lot of water in an open world with big lakes, oceans and rivers. They could dedicate an entire expansion to exploring underwater. Since it's a whole world and not just single maps it wouldn't be like adding only two maps for underwater, but adding a whole new side to the current world.
Underwater is really hard to do because you can easily lose your frame of reference. Imagine if you go low enough that the surface is far away, yet the bottom isn't anywhere near. If you're fighting a monster in that situation, you have no idea how far away it is from you. If you're fighting on land, the ground serves as a frame of reference. I recall having to turn on the 3D function on the 3DS whenever I dived into water because it was just really hard to gauge distances.
As someone who tolerates 3U water, just no. It's god awful to judge distance without ground under your feet because there's not a consistent reference point and monsters can vary in size making people like me effectively forced to take Lance and only Lance. Just let water die, it's been over a decade
Welcome back! I think my greatest concern is what kind of system requirements it'll have with all those particle effects, otherwise it looks super cool!
Really looking forward to this one. The monster Hunter games have always been Ws in my book and I’m keen to see the direction this one will take in its structure and gameplay.
It’s still over a year away. Really hoping this Monster Hunter gets your full attention because you’re my go-to for all good monster hunter info 👍🏻 that said, I’m happy you were able to go at your own casual pace and make Rise (& Sunbreak) into such a family bonding experience and to make it become something more than just a video game.
It's about time we get a temperature forest map made for Monster Hunter, the sort you see in the United Kingdom, for example. It should be a Tolkien esque high fantasy enchanted forest, like ones in The Hobbit. A large red fox-like wyvern would be a great fit for such a map
If the stashed weapon on the mount is fully open to anything, you could have the same weapon but a different element or something. Pretty interested to learn more! My initial reaction for the trailer had me questioning if it was MH because that greatsword wasn’t looking so big. I wonder if it folds out.
I remember watching your videos when i first started hunting, it really helped me pick up the mechanics so i could stop causing the hunts to fail due to carts when with my friends. So glad to see you back
We most certainly will have a hub city to go to. However I do agree it looks more like a place to rest after several hunts. Perhaps we will have the ability to set up camp anywhere (improving what WildHearts did) and maybe just have all the stuff you need for the hunt instead of always going back to the hub town. I like it, more immersive and makes you really think about what you should take on the hunt, which probably means you may take one melee and one ranged weapon. However, with that, we should also get improved farming and improved minigames for the stuff that we need. I also love the departure from the wirebugs and just integrating that movement with the palamute. One thing that I noted is that the verticality seems small this time around, more horizontal maps instead of so much climbing which is also very nice imho. I doubt this will be more than the coop we have been used to so far as that has become a staple of Monster Hunter as well and moving to MMO would destroy that imho and make hunts way way too easy
Just suspicion here, when the "MH Wilds" title and icon shows up, it has a rippling effect/shapes coming up. Might be a hint of having a significant water environment this time. To further support this thought: 1. On the MH Wilds 6-wyvern-head logo, there are many smaller circles spreading across the logo and especially near the bottom large circle, which somewhat represents air bubbles. Not sure what's that in the centre of that circle represents yet though, could be something as significant as the Sapphire star on the MH World logo 2. The font of "WILDS" having a water-ish reflection underneath 3. IIRC, this is the first time we have a downward diving wyvern head in the title logo Anyone adding in their observations?
I don't know where he's getting the idea that 6 heads equals the 6 generation. 4 and Worlds followed no such pattern in their logo symbol... and this game would be MH7.
@@bethanyh1637MH World and Rise are in the 5th Generation. Since Rise its not a main game its not 6. Edit: Seems you're new to the MH franchise, do a bit more research before commenting. If you look at the logo of MH4 it has 4 monster and World has 5... Tri has 3 and Dos well 2.
@@onerandomguy4832 Just look at the past logos for more than 5 seconds. 2 and 3's head were obvious, but 4 had no such pattern. Fanboys had to squint really hard to deconstruct that logo to mean what they wanted. World uses a crest that only has 4 heads on it. There is no pattern. Go educate yourself.
@@bethanyh1637 At the end of the "shield" in the logo of World you can see the extra head. It takes less than 1 minute to google the logos and count for yourself. But hey, welcome to the community.
Love that you've been loving 14. Love to see you cover this. Your positivity and wholesomeness makes me happy. Can't wait for the game and your coverage of it
I'm not really sold on the fact that it'll be open world yet. We didn't really see going from one biome to another. What we saw can still be just Rise-like big open map per biome. How I interpret the transformation in the end is possibility of having biome seasons. There might be a dry season where this particular biome is desert like and the rain season when it becomes more grassy.
I love the details in the animation for the mount, I noticed that you properly pull the reins to direct it, and it seems to have a more controllable bipedal mode and a much faster quadrupedal sprint
I am so glad you are back, probably the best thing about a new MH title is your videos and Ruri's videos, all the speculation and talking, this is what I am here for! Looking forward to the next 2 years!
Welcome back Gaijin!! Can't wait to go through this journey of MH 6 with the community. This will be my first next gen MH game starting from scratch! (I started with world in Jan 2020 and have closely followed every MH update and game since) I really love how detailed this breakdown gets! So many things I didn't notice! ✨
I really really need a deeper cosmetics customization for the armor ie: you can add scratches and broken pieces, additional clothing/emblems (huntsman rathian set) so every hunters "same set" can be unique
I like that it looks to be more part of the worlds line. Having 2 directions of monster hunter was nice back with tri and mhfu and I think itll be nice with rise type and worlds type
Welcome back Gaijin, missed your calm voice talking about Monster Hunter. I was really surprised to see MH Wilds already. Can´t wait to play it but the good thing is that Dragons Dogma 2 is just around the corner.
The tail of the primary Wyvern head/body forms a 6 at the middle bottom of the logo. Looks great and even more so when you consider this is likely an early Alpha build and does not have all the graphical bells and whistles implemented yet. Like the concept of the ridable monster but hope it is integrated in a way that does not make it impossible to play without apart from perhaps transport (i.e. I do not want to have to synch up with the thing to make combat effective). Still enjoy playing the current iterations of MH but this one can't arrive early enough!
5:22 That's thanks to the innovation in tech done with Rise and Exo Primal. Rampages weren't just for nothing! Hopefully they keep the tracking attack aspect of Rise as well. It was nice for the monsters to feel like they are actually trying to hit you and not your shadow like it was in World.
MY MAN IS BACK!!!!! Can't help being excited for the return of monster hunter, AND for the first monster hunter youtuber i've ever watched!!! Welcome back my friend!
Its very hard to "want" things from a mh game because (for me) they delivered rly hard with the last few mh games. If i had 1 thing i want: please release it with more QoL updates at the start and not at the end of the expansion. That they wont go away from the "base game, 1 year later big expansion" i get.. and its ok. but please give us those game changing patches and stuff earlier.
This trailer leaves me with so many questions! It's a bit strange and unsettling for a mainline MH game. That being said, I remember people being really worried about the first trailer for MH world, and it turned out to be the best one to date. Trust the process people! These devs knock it out of the park every single time. Gaijin, I've been following your channel since the MH4 days. I was almost moved to tears when this dropped, knowing how happy the OG monster hunter fans like yourself would be. I can't wait to ride this hype train with all of you. This is my most anticipated game ever
They still have over a year of development time left, it makes sense they don't have much actual game to show yet. Probably best to not show too much yet before they end up promising something that turns out they needed to change afterall.
if that light bowgun is a secondary weapon you can switch to mid combat i really hope you can set weapons of the same type. one struggle for elemental playstyles is when fighting zinogre or something and it switches modes and suddenly it's not weak to your element anymore. being able to switch from an ice to water weapon on the fly would be amazing also the text on the lightning rods reminds me of the text you might see on gogmazios weapons?
I'm mainly interested in what the "energy" of the game is going to be. As far as I know, MonHun tends to have a more grounded entry (World) followed by a more hyper entry (Rise) back to more grounded; after Rise possibly giving us too many tools in our kit, how far back is Wilds going to scale? Also as a Gunlance player please just let us keep Blast Dash.
I love the COLOR! Just look at the hunter, first everything’s kind of dusty muted colors, then darker blues and grayish tints during the storm, then finally the storm blows through and we see lots of rich, bright tones. Like the bowgun holster alone goes from murky brown to almost bright red-orange. Very nice to see a synthesis of the more down to earth feel World had and the more bombastic colors of MH4/Gen/Rise
I wouldn't have accredited the flying wyvern at the end to be Rathalos honestly but you can clearly see the classic pattern on the wing... One comment I read on a Discord was that the mount also carries what looks like camping supplies. The open world idea sounds very interesting! Like getting your mount and then exploring the world, setting up camp whenever and just keep hunting no stop. I cannot wait for more news but alas it will be so long until...

I'M GIVING IT A GUN, A LANCE TO CHARGE ATTACK LIKE ME OR WE DO SICK GREATSWORD COMBOS TOGETHER!
@@nathanaelshumsky2977 TBF, I still gathered some items to craft mid-hunt in MHW just because I'd pass by the herbs and honey between zones anyway.
Whether you are right or not, this is a good idea none the less
I'd love to finally be able to swap btwn dual blades and a light bowgun. A sub weapon option would be pretty brill
It made me think of maybe a weapon switching system. You pick 2 and can use them throughout the hunt. Be cool if it was a seamless swap. My other (personal) hope is the first mission takes you out to capture and tame your personal mount. Maybe like a right of passage for all hunters in the village
@@williamking331 I think this would be a much better balance than getting a full restock from a tent that's a 5 second fast travel time.
Very pumped for the little mount friend. You can see him switching between three modes: bipedal walk/jog, dropping on all fours for the sprinting and terrain, and the glide over short distances. But the most important question is: CAN WE PET HIM??
I’m certain that you will be able to pet it.
There was a slew of petting animations with palicos and palamutes in rise. Heck you could even pet the the tiny owl. I only need poogie to return for my petting needs!
If you cannot pet the dinosaur then I'm boycotting this game.
That's not true but I will be VERY sad if we can't pet the dog. I mean wyvern.
These are the hard questions we need answers for.
WE CAN PET AND PLAY WITH THE PALAMUTES OF COURSE WE CAN (HOPEFULLY)
I'm almost as excited for the game itself, as I am for your coverage of it. Your analysis of in game data and insight due to your japanese have always been amazing!!
Same
Agreed
Why? He drops games fairly quickly
Itd be a real cool way to bring back the hunting process from older MH games while keeping world’s streamlined features
Im not sure if wilds will be Open world or not, but it is definitely and interesting thought
Just spit balling here lol.
that's where my mind went too, with seeing how much stuff is on that bird, that's a high likelyhood that this is the case
Chocobo
He returned when he was needed most
With the lightning rods, I noticed that the first lightning strike that hits in the storm, actually strikes the back of a monster.
His name is literally "Pangolier" lol)
...Also for some reason my browser spellchecker doesn't think "pangolin" is a real word and that makes me sad. :(
The armadillos with the big spikes also act as natural lightning rods to protect their herd (and likely the hunter if nearby), which is seen in the same screenshot where you talk about the light bow gun, you can see it literally get struck by lightning and then the spike is lit up with electrical energy.
You're right. I think the Guiding Lands was the prototype for this game. Really hoping for a simultaneous launch on all platforms and cross-play too.
We got akamaxhu dulamadalous and zorah all better then what bdo have
@@neartlawt3320 You kinda need to get better at english bro, can barely understand what you're trying to say.
@@neartlawt3320 Why are you talking about BDO ? Gammoth is a monster in MH.
I think I’ve read somewhere that Tigrex will change its hunting method based on where it is. Like in a sandy area it will stalk prey because it can blend into the environment better and in snowy mountains and forests it chases instead. I think it would be cool to implement a behavior like this.
@neartlawt3320 not BDO Garmoth, Gammoth from MH Generations. Basically a big mammoth.
I like that your little raptor mount switches from running on two legs to on all fours when it starts running faster
I would love if they brought back the more robust mini games and features, like a better farming system, fishing, mining, etc. Something other than the hunts that could be great to explore and maybe making it interactive with other players.
Nobody wants this
@@666slateran666 Yeah, the (currently) 54 people who liked the idea definitely don't exist. When I picked up Rise and subsequently Sunbreak, it felt like I was pretty much just doing hunts after hunts after hunts, nothing in-between, and it just got kinda monotonous. I know it's called Monster Hunter, but there needs to be SOMETHING else in the game.
FRRR@@Boyzby
I love how your mount looks around behind him as you're being chased.
Like an additional pouch basically, to change up your setup.
thought about that possibility too - it would be really cool if that ends up being the case
Palteryx?
@@YouMystMe I like Palakeet myself
pretty elegant solution to peoples gripes with the camps
This would make the loop less cheesy
The tail of the middle dragon in the logo is also shaped like a number 6. Cool little detail they snuck in
Very interesting find with the light bowgun, didn't notice that at first. I'm leaning toward hunters will now have both a melee and ranged weapon, but definitely even more intrigued now either way.
God please no
Maybe it could be something like the Clutch Claw in MHWI, but you can only use it on the mount? Like maybe it's not a full light bowgun
Im kinda leaning towards :
1) there wont be a base camp, or atleast not as much and probably pretty scarce, but you can bring your own camping set and set a hotspot yourself
2) since camp is no more, or atleast the camp built by the hunter's guild, we cant have our items and equipment be fully transferred to the box in every camp, but instead you can bring your main weapon and secondary weapon, some sets of items and you can change/restock to only those that you bring with you, elevating the "preparation" vibe of the old games
So long as it doesnt have the rng decoration system worldborne had, I'm positive it'll be an amazing game
The background Pokke Village theme you added blasted me with feelings I forgot about 😭
It's nice to see you back man, this trailer looks good.
I'm ok with a lack of new weapon if they give each weapon a mounted moveset. Though I'd prefer some additional weapons.
We already had some SSJ God with bits of red fur, so its natural to go SSJ Blue.
oh boy does it feel nostalgic hearing your intro and voice, so pumped to your future content about the game
I love the color scheme for the feathers and scales of the new mount, very tropical. If that is in fact the new gathering leather set I think it looks fantastic.
Welcome back. Excited to know I can come back to my fav MH content channel for wilds. Super stoked.
There you are , happy to hear from you again here
It feels great to hear your voice again. Looking forward to watching you in Wilds!
I will say that the level of details is outstanding.... the small armadillos travel in packs with the alpha showing off why that is even the case.... they are safer around him due to the lightning catching ability
We may even have to do the same if we don't want a random hit (like in FFX) ahahah totally love it
Oh my God I just had a nostalgic moment at the beginning when you say "hey guys! this is gaijin hunter". Brings me back to the day I just got MHW and watched almost all of your MH related videos ever since. Good ol time I tell ya. It's good to have you back
My man Gaijin Hunter ❤️ Hope to hunt with you one day. Wish you the best!
I, for one, am ready for my new bird wyvern overlords
The static electric dust storm is so cool, the pangolins small monters probably use those lightning spike to protect the entire herd from the static dust storm
Indeed
The voice that helped me through the rough years of MH. Glad you're back!
The mount almost looks like an evolved woodland pteryx from world. They had similar colours, moved on all fours and could glide short distances too with the wings on its forelegs.
Good to see you dropping back in! Hope you're doing well!
Absolutely stoked. Can’t wait to see what the towns will be like also
So glad you're back, and hoping you and your family are doing well. Much love to our favorite MH person here on YT
I feel like they WILL do this...BUT, not at release, instead they will add it in the expansion, MHWS-G or whatever, haha.
no
Underwater is really hard to do because you can easily lose your frame of reference.
I really hope that doesn't happen. I liked the way underwater sections impacted map design, but fighting underwater was the freaking worst.
As someone who tolerates 3U water, just no. It's god awful to judge distance without ground under your feet because there's not a consistent reference point and monsters can vary in size making people like me effectively forced to take Lance and only Lance. Just let water die, it's been over a decade
Was such a treat this morning seeing you post and being able to see your content again. Much love
Welcome back! I think my greatest concern is what kind of system requirements it'll have with all those particle effects, otherwise it looks super cool!
Hopefully my old ass laptop can still run it at decent setting considering it can run world with HD texture pack with some tweaks and rise at highest
You were literally the first thing I thought of while watching. Glad to hear your voice again, king 👑
Really looking forward to this one. The monster Hunter games have always been Ws in my book and I’m keen to see the direction this one will take in its structure and gameplay.
It's great to hear that intro again, GH! Very much looking forward to finding out more about Wilds, and seeing what you do with it.
Gosh your content was very therapeutic back in the world era. Im glad youre back
Love your analysis and coverage as always
Good to hear your voice, GH! Excited to see this unfold, very much in need of a new MonHun game!
Rathalos is still around it seems, but I can't complain. He's the one who started the flagship monster lineage after all.
It's about time we get a temperature forest map made for Monster Hunter, the sort you see in the United Kingdom, for example. It should be a Tolkien esque high fantasy enchanted forest, like ones in The Hobbit. A large red fox-like wyvern would be a great fit for such a map
Welcome back, my MH GOAT.
If the stashed weapon on the mount is fully open to anything, you could have the same weapon but a different element or something. Pretty interested to learn more! My initial reaction for the trailer had me questioning if it was MH because that greatsword wasn’t looking so big. I wonder if it folds out.
It's probably a longsword, the hunter in the Rise trailer had one too.
love to see you back again, you were always the charm of this community :)
4:10 I think we might have a few hub towns actually like if this open world it would make sense like how Zelda has a few towns
Nice to hear your voice again! 2025 already set to be an insane year, the wait will be painful
So excited to see what Capcom has in store for us!
OMG I'm so glad to hear from you GH!! Happy you are doing fine and hope you come back with more vids when MHWs releases!!
I’d really like to see the “Hub town” be a part of the map itself. Like a town in RDR you can just walk freely in and out of the town.
This trailer got me exited, cant wait for more
Just suspicion here, when the "MH Wilds" title and icon shows up, it has a rippling effect/shapes coming up. Might be a hint of having a significant water environment this time. To further support this thought:
1. On the MH Wilds 6-wyvern-head logo, there are many smaller circles spreading across the logo and especially near the bottom large circle, which somewhat represents air bubbles. Not sure what's that in the centre of that circle represents yet though, could be something as significant as the Sapphire star on the MH World logo
2. The font of "WILDS" having a water-ish reflection underneath
3. IIRC, this is the first time we have a downward diving wyvern head in the title logo
Anyone adding in their observations?
I'm so incredibly looking forward to this!!! I know it's going to be AMAZING!!! **
Since we've had no new weapons in the 5th gen, I'm hoping we will get a new one for Wilds. Maybe even more? So excited.
The things I'd do for a real axe
Tonfas? Magnet glaive? Gauntlets?
Love that you've been loving 14. Love to see you cover this. Your positivity and wholesomeness makes me happy. Can't wait for the game and your coverage of it
I'm not really sold on the fact that it'll be open world yet. We didn't really see going from one biome to another. What we saw can still be just Rise-like big open map per biome.
How I interpret the transformation in the end is possibility of having biome seasons. There might be a dry season where this particular biome is desert like and the rain season when it becomes more grassy.
I would LOVE for them to bring back seasons from MH DOS!!! But in a better, actually affecting way! :D Super cool idea!!
(I started with world in Jan 2020 and have closely followed every MH update and game since)
I really love how detailed this breakdown gets!
Good to hear from you! Looking forward to this and DD2. I hope you and your daughter are well!
WE'RE SO BACK BROS
I WAS JUST LOOKING WISTFULLY AT YOUR CHANNEL RECENTLY BECAUSE I GOT MHW ON PC FINALLY!
I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE BACK!
6:45 Honestly that tail of the aerial monster looks a fair bit like a Gypceros, but the rest looks a bit too rath like.
Glad to hear from you again fam, always a good vid, thanks again for speculating.
Let's get hyped! Love your coverage bro glad to hear you again.
I'm glad you got a much needed break from Monster Hunter. But I can't lie, you were sorely missed. Great to have you back
if that light bowgun is a secondary weapon you can switch to mid combat i really hope you can set weapons of the same type. one struggle for elemental playstyles is when fighting zinogre or something and it switches modes and suddenly it's not weak to your element anymore. being able to switch from an ice to water weapon on the fly would be amazing
also the text on the lightning rods reminds me of the text you might see on gogmazios weapons?
Knew this would bring you back, just had to wait all morning.
Why wouldn't you have accredited the Flying Wyvern to Rathalos when that's exactly what it is. Its obviously Rathalos.
Very happy to know you will be here to cover news for wild.
So good to hear that intro too man, the most I Iconic “hey guys” in my opinion
Glad to have you back and im waiting for your new vids!!
So nice to hear from you again ガイジン! Hope you’re doing good!
Wow, good to see you back
