In this video, I'm sharing the benefits of obtaining Apple Care Plus when you buy your products. I personally can't recommend it enough. In this video, I share the process of replacing your broken iPhone.

Hi everyone, I want to clarify a few things about the episode. Before filming, I informed Apple about my plan to demonstrate how AppleCare works with the iPhone 15. An Apple employee, aware of my intentions to deliberately drop the phone, recommended AppleCare Plus, which covers accidental damage. After the iPhone was damaged, I took it back to Apple and documented the repair process. This episode was a positive, informative review of AppleCare, highlighting its benefits and real-world application. Apple was fully aware and supportive of this initiative from the start. Accidental is the key word here, if you drop it on purpose you know it’s going to break therefore it is intentional and not accidental, they could sue you for fraud and win if you were a nobody and they had time on their hands

Apple care is only profitable for Apple because the average of claims is lower than the total paid for insurance. If everyone [intentionally] claimed for their phone replacements, Apple would have to raise the prices for the insurance. This is the point people are making. Also, legally, you’re break a contract. Technically fraud. Though being genuinely ‘careless’ and forgetting your products in the wash is ‘fine’. It’s a contract that isn’t realistically enforceable, unless you make a video about it and post it on UA-cam or say the wrong thing.

You forgot to mention the cost of Apple care in addition to the $99 deductible. May not be a good option for people who take good care of their phones and always have a case and screen protector on.

Well the fact Apple was aware of this test on their insurance plan voids the whole video. Guess the real point is to notify Apple you’re making a UA-cam video on their care plan then take your phone in.

AppleCare+ covers all accidental damage, and you intentionally dropped this iPhone from a 1000 feet, was it? At the risk of sounding like "that guy", isn't that technically insurance fraud? I mean yeah, you can just tell them you dropped it hard by accident, but I'm pretty sure that's not okay.
