For anyone else struggling with the tricky bit of getting the adjuster mounted into the interior trim hole: there is a third small sloped (as well as bevelled) lug just above the smaller of the other two (around 10 - 11 o'clock position on the adjuster), which I angled into the trim hole first (because it has no corresponding notch in the trim). This seemed to be the key to success. Hope this helps. 🙂
@@leepharaoh3797 I ended up using super glue to hold it where it needed to be ,otherwise it just wouldn’t stay in place , it did the trick and has held in place , give it a try
I got the same problem tried for bout an hour but it just wouldnt have it i had to cut the cables on the old one to remove it too as the clips where realy on there lol

Thanks for response man. Great video btw. Any chance you know if this will work for a Ford Fiesta style 06 model?? Seen some videos of people pulling the whole inside of the door off, don’t wanna be doing that! Also, could I get away without using those exact tools?
CBHT its the same process for my ford fusion thankfully. i broke the plate that holds the glass in place. it doesnt sit in properly. do you think ill have to replace the entire wing mirror for this? is there anyway to take the wing mirror itself apart to try and fix it?
Steven prebble that's what happend to mine, I just replaced the mirror. a cyclist hits my mirror and snapped one of the mounts. but I'm unsure if you can buy the mounts separate. Just had a look on eBay and all I can find is the full mirror.
***** thanks for checking. I just knocked mine against a trolly bay in Tesco carpark and i think the top mount as disappeared so the mirror sags facing down slightly now. Hoping i can get a cheap replacement. Xmas is already breaking the bank hah. Thanks alot for your help!!
