I don’t need every Vader that comes out just cause the cloak is different. Or all the Mandos that come out with a slight paint update. But this is really cool.
Saw this video a few months ago and managed to snag this set on Amazon the other day for 16 bucks. Even though it's gonna be mostly custom fodder, coming back to this review has made me even more excited to get it. Great work, Mike!
Thank you X3 for making a video for this! I played the long game and ordered this from Target for $18. Once again your video helped me with an issue I had with the blast effect. When I got it, the laser bolt was not inserted all the way into the blast part, leaving an 1/8" to put in the hole. The effect would not port into the base. After watching, I got the ah ha moment. Pushing the bolt further into the blast gave enough to port and stay in. I would love if all new lightsabers were constructed this way, solid with a painted hilt and a non ignited hilt. This is the way. I'm so glad you made this. Thank you.
Agreed. After watching your review it makes me want to get another one or two to pose them in the different scenes but I’ll need a lot more shelf space for that. One can only hope or dream. Great review brother. Have a AWSOME. Day.
Great review! One thing though, Grogu can hold his little lightsaber with the opposite hand you attempted. Also, I waited for a sale and bought this for $20, definitely $45 was a little much.
Yeah, it bothered me a little bit on the Mando Luke, but i decided to just ignored it and pretend it doesn’t exist. Now that trigger finger is just Luke adjusting a finger on his lightsaber.
Good thorough review mate. I have this set myself. Love the world building aspect of it as much as can be done with the BS line, but I have found that if you use Grogu’s left hand, he can hold Yoda’s lightsaber. I have photos, but it won’t let me post them here. I was surprised myself. I even mentioned it to my friend Gary at Return of the Nerd Star Wars. Cheers!😁

I just received my pyke soldier pre-order today. I ordered Luke and Grogu on the same day back in April 2023. Luke and Grogu arrived in August 2023 and our labeled #7 like yours. Sadly, Pyke Soldier arrived also labeled #7….. clearly Luke and Grogu should be numbered as #3 based off the mural order between 2 and 4. Really sad this is mis-numbered.
Could probally make a custom mandalorian season 2 Luke skywalker figure by using the torso, arms and hea from the new BOBF luke and the overlay piece, the skirt, the waist and legs from the mandalorian luke
Small tip: Grogu can actually hold Yoda's lightsaber. He can hold it in the hand that has a more c clamp shape to it. I picked this up for half-off at Target today. For $22 dollars, this was great.
Great Review. I definitely want this set, Especially since Luke & Grogu are both (Mostly) New, and the Number of Accesories and Dio type pieces are Great. It is a Very Scene Specific set, but then again, So was the Dagobah Training Luke & Yoda set (Still My Favorite Black Series Luke Skywalker) But having this Set to display with Luke Training Grogu goes back to something George Lucas said, about things "Rhyming" in the Star Wars Saga, because Yoda was Training Luke from the Backpack in TESB, and Now this Scene the Roles have Reversed, with Luke now the Jedi Master training Grogu. This Scene, along with Ahsoka & Mando returning in TBOBF were Definite Highlights from the Show In My Opinion. I personally cannot wait to get this set. MTFBWY
Great review. And no, I do not want this. But I really liked the Book of Boba Fett. Consequently, I am still wondering why Hasbro has still not issued the correct Boba Fett figure for this...Yes, it needs new pants, but still...trying to sell the Boba from the end scene in "The Mandalorian" as the BOBF Boba is flabbergasting to me.
I’m sure they’ll get a proper Boba Fett out. That s2 Mando Boba getting released as a BoBF version was scramble on Hasbro’s side to get some BoBF toys on the shelves.

The Mandalorian Luke missed his hair by MILES. SH Figuarts destroys both of these. This should be clearance at some point soon. I don't like the bamboo planet with the karate suit. That's NOT Star Wars.

Don’t support their bullshit! It’s hurting the collecting game! This will be $10 at clearance outlets all day! Watch! Never pay full retail ever! I find everything clearance or less than held price everytime! Don’t support greed!
Listen, I don’t disagree that it’s overpriced from a consumer standpoint, but the idea that there’s someone at Hasbro twirling their mustache, petting an evil cat, and saying “charge more!” Is a little over simplified. It’s never lazy to produce a toy. There’s always work involved, and people who are involved in that work. I spent a half hour here pointing out all the ways that it surprisingly wasn’t lazy. But as far as wasting my money, what am I supposed to do? Not buy figures that may be bad? That’s not how reviewing toys works. Me buying a toy or not buying a toy isn’t going to send a message to Hasbro either way. But me buying a figure and making a video so people can help make a more informed opinion is much more important to me than any money I spent. But thanks for watching, as always. I get what you’re saying, but I think it’s a little on the overly negative side. This set isn’t bad. It’s just mid.
Well said Mike. I mean I think it's overpriced and lacking paint apps, but the sculpt is great and it's a fun little set. I don't begrudge people who can afford it and want it, buying it. Also you reviewed it so we collectors can decide if we want it or not. For myself it's too expensive, but if I saw it at discount Id be interested. I'd likely add a few paint washes to Grogu and the accessories to reveal the details. Like you Mike (I've said this afore), since I was a little lad I was keen to have as many Star Wars characters as possible. Background denizens of the galaxy or major players. It never mattered to me. Give me all the creature cantina patrons, Jabba's palace lowlifes. Even the rest of the Knights of Ren. As always a few alternative force gesture hands for Luke would be cool. Always cool to jave a Kaess review.👍

Well Luke with a small lightsaber can work greatly since he did make a shoto (a small lightsaber) and dual wielded it with his own

This Luke is the best one Hasbro has put out. Dpesnt look skinny like the ROTJ one, and the face is miles better on here. Imo.
