      @theknightoflanguage16 Because 1) I have been to Iceland and love it; 2) It is a more unusual language not spoken by so many people as the other Scandinavian languages 3) It is the least changed language, the most preserved, closest to Old Norse 4) I have come to regard it as quite beautiful 5) Bjork is amazing.

    You shouldn't use the flag of England for English - that a fallacy. It's the language of the United Kingdom and the majority of all inhabitants. In addition, it has been spoken in Scotland almost as long as in England as the earliest Anglo-Saxon Angles settled in the south east of Scotland around AD 500, about 70 years before the first Gaelic speakers arrived on the west coast.
