    I feel for Aaron, a couple of times his expression looked really pained, like in an anxious way. He seems very timid and introvert in his interviews, but more so when surrounded by others. But that isnt necessarily a bad thing I just wish the others in this interview had turned to him more and engaged him in the conversation. Hes not as confident as Keira and Jude are. I'm the exact same though so I feel for him, but when it comes to acting boy he really is talented! Keira is so beautiful and incredibly intelligent also. The way she articulates herself is so smart, I wish I was her.

    I think Aaron Johnson is just shy in real life but gives the best performance in movies I have watched all his movies n he gets his characters well n understands what that character is going thur his personality doesn't match his acting that's what I like in an actor!

    • @raikiribreak
      @raikiribreak 10 років тому +3

      Yes I think he's shy in front of interview(camera).In one interview on radio I heard he gets on fine with the interviewer (with Miling).One think I like about him is not being afraid to get ugly (Kick Ass) ,but I never like an actor based on their characters in movies which are not their real persona at all.As an actor from what I heard Johnson is dedicated which is a big plus in my book.
      And I did not watch Angus so I did not get why ppl like him better back then lol. How's Anna Karenina?As a fan of Joe Wright I havent watched it yet but I heard its not performing well.

      Anna Karenina to me was made for British audiences the whole 19th century love triangle is just a big thing in their culture i loved Anna try watching it, it very confusing but it will come together at the end. Yes I agree with u he is not afraid to get ugly he just mysterious like those shy pple who u have to been friends with before u can actually know how funny n silly they can be. It's very intriguing for me that Aaron is such a phenomenal and diverse actor and yet in reality he comes across as being comfortable to let others do the leading in group interviews. He might seem a man of few words but not necessarily so, he talks when he can get a word in edgewise.

    • @southernindigo1973

      Yeah, I'm an introvert and that's usually what we have to do when around people with stronger personalities than us. It's really irritating, but we're somewhat used to it. I don't know him, but somehow I feel that I understand him.

    • @pandanina
      @pandanina 7 місяців тому +3

      I believe he is in a trauma-bond with this wife, who uses his weaknesses to trap him for herself. Actually in reality, if he had that room for character development and confidence, he would act as a leading role. It just doesn't fit to my eyes that he could be so shy in reality. So yes, very good observation thank you

    • @hd-xc2lz
      @hd-xc2lz 3 роки тому +17

      Plenty of articulate American actors, it's just that folksiness is expected on American talk shows and interviews. American interviewers NEVER ask about how an actor's take on a character relates to other actors' interpretations, but no film is made without such considerations. Sadly, to appear intellectual in the U.S. is to be "not reeeeal, man," a phony.

    Reading all these comments about Aaron really provokes me. Has it ever occured to you that some people are introvert and some extrovert? And yeah who knows, he might be confused about himself, and as some people mentioned he's still young and might have not even found himself yet, and the fact that he manages acting so good is very interesting as he's able to dive into these personalities, these characters, which means he must be quite psychologically intelligent yet he seems to not be sure about his own person. And indeed he looks a bit distant but there's thousands of reasons why that could be. So stop saying you're dissappointed, stop judging him, cause none of us know a thing of whats going on in his head.

    • @HelenaPhilomenaLiebekraft

      Isabel .Hoyos I felt the same way. There are certainly some very rude and judgmental people. It's almost as if they feel like he's committed some sort of personal crime against them by being shy.

    • @southernindigo1973
      @southernindigo1973 6 років тому +6

      I agree...Are we not here to judge how well he acted in his character role or his shyness? I don't get people. People have to find flaws with everything. It's okay. He's become more confident as he has gotten older. And he is an outstanding actor. This is the reason I am watching this interview. I didn't come to see anyone else, really. He seems very empathetic, which one needs, to be a good actor. I just wish people would leave him alone. Are you here to critique his acting or his personality? Is he hateful? Does he beat up the paparazzi? Does he refuse to sign autographs? Oh or how about did people JUST realize that he was an introvert? Geez!

Loved at the end how her husband raised her daughter from her lover. Well, done. One of my favorite books. I wasn't quite enthralled with the French Persona of the scenes, in a style similar to Moulan Rouge. Scenes seemed to be in composites.

I think that he is the man to bring Lawrence Durrell's famous "Alexandria Quartet" to the screen with maybe Mr. Stoppard or Christopher Hampton creating the screenplay. The three leads in "Anna Karenina" are just so beautiful. I say that it's Britain's time to reclaim the greatness of its place in world cinema. Joe Wright and company are making it happen.

    The thing is, that Karenin reacts that way because he's the man without irrational part in his personality, without the understanding of love. He lives by the system and rules, that's why he reacts to everything so rationally and tries to sort everything out. That's also why he kind of loses Anna and stops understandind (which he never did anyway) her after Vronsky.

      I think Jude's Karenin does understand love. It's just that what is defined as "love" is rather twisted, naive and selfish and he does not play by that type of love's rules and system.

    What I really found beautiful in the film was the ball room scene, were all those hand movements part of the waltz, I do not know, Can someone tell what that was. In film, the only other ballroom that has impressed me is the scene in the Russian version of War and Peace made in the 60's. Thank you

      Most of the people claim that it's actually a mazurka but in reality it's a choreography designed specifically for this movie by a modern artist that tries to express feelings via movement. Also, I agree, it's definitely visually stunning and soo impressive, I catch myself rewatching all the time ((:

    "still"? he`s not old. For old actors such as Brad Pitt, George Clooney, you can say "they are STILL hot"...but Jude is not that old...he looks fantastic.so its not appropriate to use that word "still" when u talk about him :))))

    Karenin is not a saint in this movie. He pushes his pregnant wife on the floor. She could have hurt herself and loose the baby. He takes her letters breaking her private stuff. At the begining he is an absent father for his son, never having time for him and he is a terrible lover always talking about his work before bed, being absolutely devoided of any passion or tenderness, no wonder his wife needed someone like vronsky.
