I feel for Aaron, a couple of times his expression looked really pained, like in an anxious way. He seems very timid and introvert in his interviews, but more so when surrounded by others. But that isnt necessarily a bad thing I just wish the others in this interview had turned to him more and engaged him in the conversation. Hes not as confident as Keira and Jude are. I'm the exact same though so I feel for him, but when it comes to acting boy he really is talented! Keira is so beautiful and incredibly intelligent also. The way she articulates herself is so smart, I wish I was her.
Anastacia Louise Also I dont like how Aaron got interrupted alot either. But that happens when someone is very soft and shyly spoken, the more dominant confident person will talk over them. I have that happen to me a lot lol its very irritating!
I think Aaron Johnson is just shy in real life but gives the best performance in movies I have watched all his movies n he gets his characters well n understands what that character is going thur his personality doesn't match his acting that's what I like in an actor!
Yes I think he's shy in front of interview(camera). In one interview on radio I heard he gets on fine with the interviewer (with Miling). One think I like about him is not being afraid to get ugly (Kick Ass) ,but I never like an actor based on their characters in movies which are not their real persona at all.As an actor from what I heard Johnson is dedicated which is a big plus in my book. And I did not watch Angus so I did not get why ppl like him better back then lol. How's Anna Karenina? As a fan of Joe Wright I havent watched it yet but I heard its not performing well.
Anna Karenina to me was made for British audiences the whole 19th century love triangle is just a big thing in their culture i loved Anna try watching it, it very confusing but it will come together at the end. Yes I agree with u he is not afraid to get ugly he just mysterious like those shy pple who u have to been friends with before u can actually know how funny n silly they can be. I just enjoy watching him
I agree! He always gives awkward interviews, which used to disappoint me, but I've really never seen someone continuously get to know and become their characters as well as he does. He's truly talented!
Poor Aaron Taylor-Johnson, he looks really nervous. There are parts where he wants to talk, and parts where he seems to be mad at himself for messing up.
It's very intriguing for me that Aaron is such a phenomenal and diverse actor and yet in reality he comes across as being comfortable to let others do the leading in group interviews. He might seem a man of few words but not necessarily so, he talks when he can get a word in edgewise.
Yeah, I'm an introvert and that's usually what we have to do when around people with stronger personalities than us. It's really irritating, but we're somewhat used to it. I don't know him, but somehow I feel that I understand him.
I believe he is in a trauma-bond with this wife, who uses his weaknesses to trap him for herself. Actually in reality, if he had that room for character development and confidence, he would act as a leading role. It just doesn't fit to my eyes that he could be so shy in reality. So yes, very good observation thank you
Anna Karenina had just about the greatest bunch of actors, Matthew McFadyen, Domhnall Gleeson, Keira, Jude, Aaron, Kelly MacDonald, all just brilliant actors.
Aaron I can tell is more introverted andhow he transcends himself on film is astonishing. He was very young when this interview took place but has become more comfortable in his skin as his career progressed.
I just got home after seeing this wonderful movie. Keira Nightley, Jude Law, and Aaron Johnson were just phenomenal. The cinematography, set design, acting, the plot, and the amazing costumes were brilliant first class. Very impressed with this film.
Plenty of articulate American actors, it's just that folksiness is expected on American talk shows and interviews. American interviewers NEVER ask about how an actor's take on a character relates to other actors' interpretations, but no film is made without such considerations. Sadly, to appear intellectual in the U.S. is to be "not reeeeal, man," a phony.
I have seen this movie more than 300 times because I remember watching it almost every night at one particular year. And continued to watch periodically even after that year.
Reading all these comments about Aaron really provokes me. Has it ever occured to you that some people are introvert and some extrovert? And yeah who knows, he might be confused about himself, and as some people mentioned he's still young and might have not even found himself yet, and the fact that he manages acting so good is very interesting as he's able to dive into these personalities, these characters, which means he must be quite psychologically intelligent yet he seems to not be sure about his own person. And indeed he looks a bit distant but there's thousands of reasons why that could be. So stop saying you're dissappointed, stop judging him, cause none of us know a thing of whats going on in his head.
Isabel .Hoyos I felt the same way. There are certainly some very rude and judgmental people. It's almost as if they feel like he's committed some sort of personal crime against them by being shy.
I agree...Are we not here to judge how well he acted in his character role or his shyness? I don't get people. People have to find flaws with everything. It's okay. He's become more confident as he has gotten older. And he is an outstanding actor. This is the reason I am watching this interview. I didn't come to see anyone else, really. He seems very empathetic, which one needs, to be a good actor. I just wish people would leave him alone. Are you here to critique his acting or his personality? Is he hateful? Does he beat up the paparazzi? Does he refuse to sign autographs? Oh or how about did people JUST realize that he was an introvert? Geez!
Have you watched the entire interview? 7: 36 Jude said Aaron was a "hot ember" in a praising way. Aaron just brushed it all off saying he felt like "the blond in the movie". Both of them are amazingly different yet amazing actors all the same

Karenin is not a saint in this movie. He pushes his pregnant wife on the floor. She could have hurt herself and loose the baby. He takes her letters breaking her private stuff. At the begining he is an absent father for his son, never having time for him and he is a terrible lover always talking about his work before bed, being absolutely devoided of any passion or tenderness, no wonder his wife needed someone like vronsky.
It's amazing how Keira has played so many iconic female characters of literature.
She's amazing!!

It’s not really amazing… she simply is the best and most beautiful actress ever!

Why he looks so shorter than Law?! Google says his height is 180 cm and Law 178
Aaron's shyness helped create such an honest character of Vronsky...he's not a cad in the movie, he is honestly swept away by Anna..
Valentina Rossi Jude is vulgar and knieghtly is a ham not appealing
