- Well, this was an adventure. Today after a brief dragon-slaying side quest we get to a boss that I'm sure at least some of you were waiting for: Bayle the Dread. And it was... an experience I'll just say that.

Also: as the summon sign is inside the arena the boss doesn't gain an extra 50% health whereas they gain 50% extra hp if outside the boss arena. (Which will be a nightmare considering his healthpool)
Oh I was cursing him by the end, believe me...
at some point I start thinking that he's distracting Bayle with his loud cursing! LOL
@@GORILLA00 if you are in a serious fight then he is absolutely distracting but it also helps take aggro from you (also hes immortal at least from what I can see he has no health bar to be killed ) if you are fighting him seriously then I suggest turning off/experimenting with the sound settings to get him to quiet down
It is a good laugh though
igon the only npc that deserves to be summoned for their boss fight
Bayle was both the boss I died to the most, and my favorite of the DLC so far. idk if it was the moveset, the insane cinematics of the second phase, or Igon's voice acting, but despite taking me hours, I had a blast fighting him.
Bayle is one of the last bosses if you follow the intended path, kind of funny that you went for him so early. I got to say, jumping is probably one of the most underrated mechanics in this game as far as dodging damage. You can dodge the entire explosion because when you jump your torso and legs basically don't have a hitbox anymore. Any huge AOE attack like that can usually be dodged by jumping. Same with big swiping attacks as long as the enemy is not very tall.
Im praying they dont nerf bosses before i get the dlc. I want to feel this pain😭

If you had went the communion site before Killing Bayle she would been standing there.
If you talk to her, she would give you can Damage Negation item.

bayle was an awesome fight for me, sure he darn near broke me with how many times he chowed down on my body, and blasted me with lightning, and burned me to cinders with his fire. but it was awesome
I rested up at the two dragons scrapping yesterday… I’m really not looking forward to Bayle… 😂😂
Honestly, i never commented. However, for all dragon fights, summon mimic with a melee then equip Lion Great Bow and go to town. Honesty, any "big boss" (size wise) can be done this way. Also, I'm a few dozen hours into the dlc and using bows have made the game quite easy.
I would check out the Priestess Heart you got, it's an unlimited consumable you can use when you don't have any armor equipped...

Pata is decent great for Seals or Staffs in your off hand cuz it acts as a straight sword if you're not 2 handing them!
If you can pay attention between all that lightning and fire, Bayle has a head of placidusax on its neck. Also the only member he has intact is a leg.

Bayle was funny for me. I fought him at first suuuuper late at night and was too tired for it. Then the next morning me and Igon shredded him 😅
Love how your "oh this does good damage" is more so based on how cool the boss is than the damage. Sanseeax bad camera so not good damage lol
Also i don't know if anyone told you but the dlc scales with your level so your base game level helps with wielding weapons but not vs opponents in the dlc. The leveling system in the dlc is the shadow tree blessing. It gets you damage and damage negation.
My definition of "good damage" makes sense to me and only me I think 😅
Then again that could probably be applied to a number of things I talk about regarding these games

Bale and the shadow keep boss is where I had to get good, decided that I was done with cheesing and would finally learn the bosses moves
If I didn’t have the dragon great katana that fight would have been 10 times harder

Are you doing some kinda low blessing challenge? You should really explore to get that up more otherwise you might as well be doing a level 1 run.
"I don't even feel bad that he's missing a leg anymore" OMG hahaha. Jokes aside, I LOVE Bayle, his model with the shredded wings and the missing leg is such good visual storytelling, his story is pretty awesome in conjunction with Igon and he's designed to be this terrifying monster that even grievously injured Placidusax (probably why Saxy is missing heads). His whole thing is such a spectacle and he's supposed to be a late DLC boss, so watching him be reduced to "What is this shit, look at his dumb face, you tell him Igon" by someone with like +3 Skidooshtree blessing is priceless. Even with Mimic Tear, that was impressive.
