"Digital Collection Sampler" - of "Okinawa's Rebirth" during the mid-1950s. This particular composite focuses on "Blackie The Photographer's " cultural and travel photos as a commercial photojournalist. This is a work-in-progress betatest for the next several months......please watch in HD 720px.

I remember Blackie the photographer being much admired for his talent, although I was too young and naive to appreciate. The adults were certainly very impressed. Now I know why. Thank you so much for sharing these pictures.

I came across a photo album about a year ago in the trash at a retirement community and I took it home it has so many beautiful pictures about their culture

3:25なにやら収蔵庫とおぼしき場所、供出？の生き残りの釣り鐘や厨子甕に混じって、首里城正殿と守礼の門の縮尺模型があるね。最近になって、米軍撮影の写真を以て、正殿の屋根は黒かったといわれているが、復元された正殿は、中国風過ぎるとか、消失前と違うという話も聞くが、たかだか75年前の記録、記憶が残っていないのだろうか？今後再建される正殿は、観光客目当ての紛い物ではなく、戦災で消失する以前の姿で再建してほしい。
映像と関係なかったけど、映像は良かったです。
