HOW TO JAILBREAK PS3 SLIM OR FAT WITH USB! (EASY & SAFEST METHOD) 2018

- ↓↓ DOWNLOADS BELOW! ↓↓ If you have a PlayStation 3 on firmware 4.82 or lower, and it has a low enough minimum firmware version, you can now jailbreak your PS3 using only software! No hardware flashers, no need to take apart the console, not even a need to downgrade anymore! Thanks to the developers over at the PS3Xploit team, anyone with a compatible PS3 on 4.82 can spin up a local web server with a few supplied files and patch their console to get it ready for a CFW install.
The process here is to make sure your PS3 can handle a jailbreak, meaning the number you get from MinVerChk must be 3.56 or lower. ANYTHING HIGHER THAN 3.56 FROM THIS TEST WILL NOT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!
If your PS3 is compatible, it must be updated to 4.82 if it is on anything lower. Nothing higher, nothing lower, 4.82! After that, you must spin up a local web server to dump your NOR if you have a NOR PS3. If you're on a NAND PS3, this part can be skipped. After that, run the web server again and copy a file to your FAT32 formatted flash drive, this process will flash this file to your console and "patch" the current OFW 4.82 so it is ready for CFW. At that point you can simply take a 4.82 (or higher) CFW of your choice and install it directly through the XMB!
In order to do all of this you MUST have a compatible PS3. If you want to be safe, buy a Fat/Phat PS3. Every single one will be compatible with CFW. If you want to perform this on a Slim console, 20XX and 21XX models are all compatible. 25XX models that show 3.56 or lower on MinVerChk will work, anything showing a higher firmware will not. ANY PS3 MODEL HIGHER THAN 25XX WILL NOT WORK! This includes newer Slim models and all Super Slim models.

Instuted i tried everyone of them. But for me it the first link worked when I tried it like 3 times. So just keep trying thrust me it will work eventually. Btw third link didnt work for me at all. And if it helps you my ps is cech 2004b. So i used NOR one.

Very true, you have to have a nice friend or a spare $20ish dollars though.
You can change your IDPS in debug toolbox and you can get unbanned in mins

Guys if you get data corrupted do a quick format go back to your browser and do the steps again after that go try to download the cfw and it will work!

i cant go back everytime i start up the ps3 is continues with the update and everytime is says error corrupted something it says i have to restart my ps3 and try it again but when i turn off my ps3 and turn it on again it just automaticly starts updating how do i go back to the ps3 homescreen where i can format pls help me pls reply asap

For those who are still having problems "hanging" or "freezing" on the orange part/website I have a simple solution for that.
1. Format your usb to FAT32 and extract "flsh.hex" into the usb.
2. Rename the hex file to "flash_482" without the quotations.
3. **Do not add the PS3 file yet to the usb as this will cause the lag in the process.
4. Plug it in and redo the nor/nand patch and wait for it to complete.
5. When it's done, exit the browser and restart your PS3 manually.
6. Format your usb again, but this time only add the "PS3" file into it.
7. Now go to System Update, Update via Storage and select the custom firmware.
8. Be patient.
Now you're done and your ps3 is good to go! I've already done this twice from my own ps3 and my cousin and I must say, it really did work smoothly. All thanks to this guy for helping us out.

Cameron Goodman Tested both RedtheTrainer and Duck (editzz doesn't seem to work at all.) Worked on first try with Red and a couple on Duck. Restart your ps3 if it still freezes and keep trying

Thank you so much dude tbh I thought that this was fake because I only saw tutorials people using E3 Flasher and that the USB ways are fake which most of them were in the day I've watched em but now thanks to the people that created the tools and thanks to u for giving me and others a clear explanation on what to do to jailbreak. I didn't expect to wake up that day and to actually jailbreak my console. Now I know how to sign in and to get games, ROMs and customize my PS3 to my liking. Thank you soooo much for showing us and goodbye.
The reason the nor/nand websites wont load is because you’re supposed to bookmark the page, set the home page to blank, erase all your data, THEN CLOSE THE BROWSER AND RELAUNCH IT, then open the bookmarked page and done!!!!!!

Hey man I've put CFW on 2 separate PlayStations thanks to your videos! I have a question though. I have a ps3 slim completly set up. CFW with multiman and everything. I want to put in a bigger he's. The hdd is from a ps3 super slim. Does that matter. I know the console must be below 3.55 firmware when modding. Would this brick the console if I tried to just redo step 2 of your tutorial and then of course re download multiman. What I'm asking is if it is the ps3 console that has the firmware on it below 3.55 or the hardrive.

I jailbreaked my ps3 and had the little carpets with the star, is there a way that I can recover those carpet files? *Folders, is to install from the XMB from usb but now I dont have that. or can I re-do this process again, One more thing my ps3 is banned I tried to get in to those websites it doesnt connect, can I go back to OFW?

Hi, I just jailbreak my ps3 and install Rebug LITE CFW. When I start game (e.g. FIFA 18) and in game pres start button it opens fifa menu but also home menu from multiman (like a pres PS button). I don't want to start button opens home menu but i can't find anywhere to disable it.
So I am noob regarding this JB via ps3,.. But im not new on JB android phone...
So my question is.. My ps3 is currently on 4.80 not Jailbroken,..so I need to update it to 4.82.. and do your tutorial..

HELP!!!!! During the second process when I go to update storage media, says update data of version 1.90 or later can be installed on this system....
On the second nor flash website linked it says to use an unmodified "flash_482.hex". the one you included only says "flsh.hex" (without an 'a') should I rename this within my usb? Or since it has been in through out the entire process has it already renamed itself? I did update via psn so it is official firmware too.
Bro it shows susses, and head a peep and it turns off. Now its booted up and when I goes to update it shows no update thing like on urs. Why? Yeah it’s not working for me I give up this is really frustrating ps3editzz does not work at all like it gives me a blank screen and gives me an error at the top so then I tried theredtrainer and it’s different asking if there’s a 4.82_hex or some shit like that and then I try ps3duckdsn and the web page doesn’t completely load leaving me with a white background but blue links that day NOR or NAND so I click NOR and it leads me to the page that you were in and when I clicked the button to start the process the ps3 automatically shuts off without saying successful or failed SOOO then I keep trying and then it says it fails and right when it tries to refresh the ps3 freezes and this continues for a long time I’ve been trying this since yesterday and it’s just bullshit how it’s not working and it’s really frustrating so screw this im done lol unless I get some help
