Thank you very much! You don't know how much I appreciate you posting this tutorial. I just received my upgrade to 11 from 9 and didn't think I was going to like it. You made my day

Thank you for posting this. After my laptop crashed, acdsee crashed, traveling and moving and my scrap group friends dissolved the group, I finally wanted to get back into scrapping. For a few years I couldn't find the classes I had purchased in the archives. After moving I couldn't find the printout from the blog that I had printed. Thankfully, I went back to the blog today to find my classes in the blog and this video. I had totally forgot how to use some of the setup and tools for digitally scrapping. I am so thankful for this and your blog and classes. I needed this refresher course as my memory ain't like it use to be.

Last night I upgraded from Photoshop Elements 10 to Photoshop Elements 13 and when I opened it - I quickly recalled that you did this video when PSE11 was released. So this morning I watched the video and made all the adjustments to my new version - excited to start creating new pages today!

Jessica, thank you so much for this video. I would have been lost without it. Just as taking your free class in digital scrapping some years back opened my eyes to just what that strange PSE program on my computer could do, so this video helped me make the adjustment to PSE11.

Just bought and installed PSE 11 and had no idea where to get started, even though I'd tried using the Adobe website for tutorials. Your style is very clear and easy to follow and you've saved me a lot of time and potential frustration. I'm going to search out your other tutorials now so thanks for this.

I am new to PSE 11 and really really appreciated this tutorial!! Thank you! I can see myself adding brushes instead of appending them, or accidentally hitting default. You saved me hours of frustration. Granted, I have no earlier pse to compare to but I still found this to be useful for 11. Thanks again. Keep making these videos!

Thank you SO much! I've been using PSE 11 for months and have been so frustrated with all the toggling I've had to do between layers, actions and effects. I'm thrilled to learn that I no longer have to. (Still don't really like the toggling between photo bin and tools, but I can live with it.) Thank you for this wonderful lesson.

Thank you SO MUCH. I just installed V11, and I was DEPRESSED over how awful it is. Not enough room for my picture. I'm going to have to wear magnifying glasses OVER my contacts. So much "stuff" at the bottom of the screen. I'm going to do all the things you suggested, and hopefully, will like it a bit more. I have many of the earlier versions including 10.

Thanks for this great tutorial! Very helpful. I do have a question though -- a couple of times I've been working on something and left PSE open overnight only to come in the next morning to find a reboot via update. When this happens and I open PSE, all the changes I've made to my custom workspace have disappeared and I have to do it all over again. Is there a way to "save" the settings so this doesn't happen? Thanks! And thanks again for your wonderful videos!

This video was very helpful. The one thing i am having a hard time figuring out though is you say not to change the default setting in the brush options bar or it will get rid of the brushes you have put in there. The problem is I can't select a brush to work with through the preset manager therefor I have to change the default brushes if I want to select a different type of brush to work with. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Jessica, I am brand new to the whole photoshop world but I wanted to be able to do some things to photo's that I take as I am also new to taking photo's. Anyway, I went out and bought (from Best Buy) Photoshop Elements 11. Well, needless to say I am having some trouble getting through it all. I haven't even figured out how to bring a photo over to work on it and if I could what would I do with it. Wow, there is a lot to do here. Cindy

I am newbie after so many years away from PSE.... how do I set up the catalogue? How do I do a page without using a template (everyone seems to use templates now - I want to create from scratch!) How did you get the rule displayed? May be you have this covered in another video. Fingers crossed as I have forgotten everything! 😢

can you "pop out" photos just like in regular Photoshop? Im talking about click on the tittle and dragging it to the side and it opens in a different window.
