Despite Jin mentioning how difficult it was for him to land English, his pronunciation is amazing, he’s worked so hard to get better at it.

What I think he actually meant was that now, he mainly or only drinks fruit soju or wine, and you can't really get flat out drunk after only a couple of those except if you tried, so his tolerance is better since it's weaker than vodka or whiskey which are also pretty bad tasting.
