As an Arkansas fan, this was probably tbe best chance we ever had at a National Champonship but we lost to Florida. Still say Nutt screwed up by playing Dick instead of Mustain. Darren Mcfadden was a man among boys as far as athletesism and explosiveness. Arkansas will never have a running back like that again.
No way Troy Smith was the best player over D-Mac. No better running backfield in NCAA during their time in Div I. Miss these players and toughness of the game when there was no NIL.

Most disappointing season ever. Lsu loss should not have happened, florida loss should not have happened, should have played and beat ohio state for the title. I'm still sick over the 06 season.
It was an absolute waste for Nutt to piss off Mustain, Williams and Malzahn and lose them at the end of this 2006 season. The 2007 season would have been their title year and a Heisman for McFadden.

We lost those last 3 games because of the injury to Peyton Hillis. His lead blocking was crucial to the success of that team
