Praying Judah is feeling a lot better today. It breaks our hearts when our grandchildren are not feeling well.
Great grocery haul with good ideas for many meals. The ALDIs chicken patties in the red bag remind me of chick filet. There’s only like 5 in the bag for $7.99 . I always learn something from you every video. Feel better precious Judah !
Bryant is such a trooper. All men get antsy when they get in a grocery store I think...lol. Mine wants to go with me shopping and once he tosses in what he wants he is ready to go...lol. Two good hauls it looks like. I hope Judah is on the mend. 🥰

I hope Judah feels better soon. My heart goes out to him! I had to chuckle when you told PB that there was no hurry. I have to say that to my husband as well, otherwise its like we're on a marathon to get out of the store, yet he want to come with me.

Hi Leslie. The Royal Cookie company filed bankruptcy in 2005. They were bought out by the Flowers Bread company. If you have a Flowers discount store they might have what you enjoyed.

When I grocery shop, even just do a grocery pick up, I do not feel like cooking. So, it’s usually pop a pizza in the oven time. 😊❤😊🙏
As a long-time cooker and baker, I enjoy seeing your grocery haul. Lots of that I would never purchase but perhaps would when my children were younger or when my time was more limited for cooking. I use my bedroom tv for when I make the bed and ironing. Going to Costco Sunday morning so will look for the organic chicken which may come from your farm. Will be thinking of you and Bryant.

Here is what I found for you. Royal Cookie company was bought out. The new company uses the same recipe for oatmeal cookies and sells them under the Southern Home label. The store brand of BI-LO grocery stores which are located in NC,SC,TN,and GA. Hope that helps

I pre-cooked and freeze ground beef for those nights that I need something super fast. It's great for tacos and Hamburger Helper.

@ruthwarren8685 Aside from a bit of salt and pepper, I usually don't because I never know what I'll be making with it. I also use it for pasta sauce, chili, shepherds pie, etc...seasoning when I'm preparing the actual meal works best for me.
Leslie, if you used the Aussie freeze hairspray they have changed back to their old formula. Just check and make sure that the first ingredient shows alcohol not water. ❤️

I live in NC and I thought it was the Royal Cake Company. I actually live not too far from one of their factories.They did have the best oatmeal cakes and their devil's food cakes were soooo good. Bryant's face when you were talking in the car 🤣
✍Hi Leslie and Bryant...So glad you finally made it to the grocery stores to do your shopping. Hope Judah is feeling better and that the Dr. has some idea what is wrong with him. Leslie you or Caroline can make a healthier version of the "Cheeseburger Hamburg helper" Brown some ground beef for 1 serving (for a family brown 1 pound) boil some macaroni, drain then add the gr.beef and add some Velveeta or some shredded cheese...so easy and not all those added chemicals they add to those boxed dinners. If the boys and you guys like peas they're a good side dish to serve with the cheeseburger helper or sometimes I add them to the dish. I make it once in a while when I'm not sure what to make or I don't feel like cooking up a recipe. Both myself and my daughter has one of those small TVs in our bedrooms but sometime I'm going to have to retire the living room "SHARPE" TV which I won in 1999 sales contest. It's still working so why replace it. I buy Swaggertys sausage that I learned about from watching CVC (Collard Valley Cooks) and its not at all greasy and its so delicious. I gave up on hairspray, I just went back to using AquaNet my old standby from the 80s. I get the extra strength extra hold. It’s in the tall white bottle with the pink and it works like it always has.
Poor Judah, he did at least seem to be feeling better the next day.

I bought those egg rolls from Aldi. I was in a hurry and microwaved mine, but I think I’d like them crispier in the air fryer. Just FYI. Got to let you know…. I made your Korean Beef yesterday….Wonderful! So good. Last night I had “one of those nights”….awake at 2:30 am…finally gave up and got up at 4 am…. I had finally found some of the Formula L biscuit mix you talk about so I thought I’d try those out for the first time and have them ready for breakfast. Oh my ! The best biscuits I’ve ever made… although they’re so easy I hesitate to say I “made” them. Then I threw together your focaccia dough to refrigerate and have ready for the family Sunday dinner. Thanks for sharing so many good recipes so I could cook with you in the middle of the night.

Just found you recently, and absolutely love your videos! Praying for your sweet grandson to feel better ASAP! I was wondering can you find the actual Pastina there? If not, and you have a PO Box, I could gladly send you some. I know you can use substitutions, but the original Italian penicillin calls for the Pastina pasta, and it really does make a world of difference!!!

It is very difficult to find in a lot of places I know. I am originally from North Carolina but I live in Pittsburgh and we have a lot of Italian markets here so you can always find it. I usually stock up on it when I get a chance. I will definitely be sending some your way! so happy I found your channel. I’m really enjoying your family. 😍

Oh Leslie, I saw your sauerkraut and that did it! I am sooo hungry for a Reuben Loaf now! I have never been more thrilled to find a recipe as when I found that. I'm pretty sure I started making it more than 34 years ago. It is your sauerkraut, corned beef, swiss cheese all made into a loaf of bread. I want to try to convert the bread into a loaf of rye or pumpernickel the next time I make it. When my friend comes over next time we do bread (That's a special thing we use as a good reason to get together each week or so) we can make this so I have someone to share with. Thank you for the idea! 🙂

When I was staying with & cooking for my sister & brother-in-law he said he'd never cared for sauerkraut yet always tried what I made. When I got up at 5 the next morning to find him eating the last piece I knew he truly liked it! That was great...but sauerkraut for breakfast?? 🤣

Miss Leslie. Yes you can make the Pastina with any kind of pasta. I am so glad you love it❤. In Chicago my family always said spaghetti gravy. I was so surprised when I heard you say tomato gravy.❤. The only thing I think you did not mention on your Walmart haul was the formula L biscuit mix, which is one of my favorite items that you had on your table. You know I can’t get that out here in Chicago and order it is so expensive so I make your two ingredient biscuit mix which is absolutely phenomenal, I hope Judah bug feels better. He is so sweet and I’m so glad that he and Levi love my Pastina recipe that is a comfort food and it does help when you’re feeling crummy that always helped us feel better and still does. That is an all-time make you feel better fast and easy dish. 😊❤Charlene

Leslie - try Josie Marian’s Aran Affinity instead of Vaseline. This is a great natural substitute. Vaseline is made from the drill oil dredges - hence the name “Petroleum Jelly.” Be blessed.

We have a place here Rose City Sweets that make oatmeal cream pie that are so good. She specializes in macarons better than any macaron you have ever had and we are in Texas so they are Texas sized of course.
I don’t like Italian sausage or white cheddar popcorn either. But however Frank Corrhier sausage is our favorite beside our local pork sausage(Rayfields).

After a tiring day shopping with grandchildren and husband it is absolutely not terrible to say no cooking! BTW, you should buy larger cans of salmon, cheaper than buying several small ones. I buy Aldi's canned salmon, very good, large can is a little over $2. You can find "no fennel " Italian sausage links, it says it on the package. Looking forward to your cooking. 😊

Just a tip, fabric softener can clog a septic tank and washing machine.
my family uses fabric softener all the time and we never have any problems with it clogging up our washing machine

You are I North Carolina have you ever heard of Scrapple and if you have do you like or ever cook it I'm was born in raised in Fairfax County Virginia near DC and are it all my life I have lived in Texas for 20 plus years people here never heard of scrapple or can you buy it here
