a video on the physical installation of the hardware around the buildings and the powering up of the units would be to me, worth a watch. You wouldn't need to actually attach stuff but a walk-around showing and explaining the difficulties faced would be good, and to see how, these years later, how it's performing. That would be really informative
I am currently in the process of doing the research on how to configure multiple access points as "MESHED" access points and I am still looking. This video shows how to add an additional POE access point, not a meshed access point. The whole point of a meshed system is not having to run ethernet lines all over the desired area. Right? Should be....just a power source at the access point is all that is needed. No?
Really gave me an idea. I already have a TP Link eap 225 mesh at the corner of the house. it works great to the metal shed 75 ft. away…IF door is open…door closed? ->no WIFI . If I got another AC1200 mesh EAP225 for the shed, would I connect it to a router in the shed acting as an extender? OR just an extender with one antenna into the shell of the shed interior, and the other antenna talking to the the EAP225 at the house, WITH the shed door CLOSED?! Thanks! Chas
Can this Mesh WiFi Unifi AC be used as AP for PISO WIFI? How long does it reach approximately (with line of sight of course) in meters? Thanks for the reply sir.
If your planning to build a captive portal you need to use the same brand of products like Ubiquiti or Tp-link in order for you to manage in the controller. The answer is Yes, but you need to use the Ubiquity products in your set up or else you have to configure each without the central controller.
Hi, First i like how you did your video and thanks taking time for it. I do have 2 ac mesh connected to a wifi hub distributor from Vidéotron who they are my internet supplier witch is connected to there main fiwi hub. So i do not have a unifi controler. So I connected the 24 v device with the first unifi ac mesh on the poe tap and the first ac mesh on the lan tap. I did power the 24 v with the 110v. I did connected the second ac mesh to the wifi hub and also did same connections to the second 24 v and power it 110 v. I just could see one ac at the time. I did many connections ways and all the same. I did what you juste made on this video and they are not communicating together. Can you help me on this situation? Thanks in advance! Gas

I have a question hope you can help or any one on the comments section, so far I know for each hop according to ubiquiti the bandwidth is cut in half, the thing is that I set up a public Hotspot in a town, and setting the bandwidth on the vouchers as 5 mbps down and 3 mbps up, if I have up to three hops, then on the last ap I will be getting less than 1 mpbs on download?, what I don't get is that when using multiple hops, what is cut down is the link speed between them or de total bandwidth passing trough the link wich are two things different.
hello sir I am planning to use Mikrotik RB4011 as my dhcp portal for hotspot and 6 unifi mesh wifi to cover our entire subdivision is that setup possible? can I mesh 6 unify mesh and use Mikrotik RB4011 as portal for hotspot?
No that's not the correct way to do things... speed requires two traffic transfer... so unless you laptop or phone also has a stronger antenna it's only half the equation

Hi there - I have a couple of these outdoor wireless access points - should they all have the same channel width and channel settings?
would have been better if you at least did one install of the wireless ap

Hi, could you please confirm ,unifi ac mesh 1 Access point can accommodate how many users approx without trouble at speed limit 6mbps max per user.
Will it work if the are trees in between the access point?
Is it has voucher type system?
What is the difference between the Access Points and the Mesh?
