One of my favorite anime. I think it mixed well with this song and the relationships between Takumi and Nana.

I think she knew what Takumi was when she chose him (cheating jerk),, but Takumi could provide for their family. It's still sad, though.

After watching Nana and reading the manga, I realized that Takumi truly loved hachi. I know he has done some unforgetfull things to Hachi, and yes I agree he is very controlling to the point that it brings pain to those around him, but like nana, I think he has some issues and that's his way to showing that he cares. He is the only one that tried not to change Hachi, he accepted all her flaws, and never had any expectations or requests regarding her personality. He started to like her right away, not to mention that even when she told him off and not answering the phone, he was still waiting for the Summer to be over to go and see her. Even when he heard that she was pregnant he did not care whose child it was (I mean it was apparently his), still he stayed by her side offering her the comfort and security she would need. For those who have read the manga his childhood was awful, he does not know what fatherly love is or what a healthy household looks like. He tried his best to fulfill Hachi's dream home and even allowed himself to be open with her even about his work problems. Hachi knew was she was getting into and even said her herself that this guy is problematic but she knows he loves her and she is his home to return to. She does not have to hide her true self as she did with others, they both read each other well and offer exactly what each lack. I believe that if Hachi did not really love Takumi would not allow this to go further and they getting married as for Takumi he has mentioned that he loves her in the manga and it is even mentioned by Ren that he must feel things for her or else after the party and the fight between Nobu he would have ended things. Please do not call me names or anything I am just saying my point of view. I really like this show and wish that the mangaka will continue soon and that these two characters find happiness.
Part of the reason I love this story so much is BECAUSE the characters are flawed. They are more realistic. People aren't perfect. We learn to live with each other's issues. He wasn't abusive, she knew he slept around and he knew what she needed from him and they still chose each other.

I know Takumi loves Hachi, its just his way of life will never sit well with readers but his character is real, I root for them
I am so glad that there are people that understand the couple's dynamic. I am really tired of people just calling Takumi names without really diving into his character. I really hope we have news about the manga soon.
I still don't like Takumi and his controlling/manipulative tendencies are extremely toxic. I still think Nobu was the better choice for Hachi romantic wise, but Takumi did step up to provide stability for Hachi when she found out she was pregnant. Hopefully both of them matured more when they became parents. It kinda shows Hachi after the kid was born in the last episode , but they didnt show any interactions with Takumi and the kid I dont think so who knows maybe he turned into a better person.

i'll never understand why so many people infantilize Hachi and put all the blame on Takumi... she made some stupid decisions and pretty much never stood up for herself... she also ONLY loves Takumi because he's a celeb so she's not a saint in any way either

@@sechan5224 no one says it's an excuse.. he's pretty garbage but my issue is with people that think takumi being a D somehow excuses Hachi's behavior.. she was no little innocent child just because she liked to act that way. she said herself if Nobu would know how she really is he probably wouldn't love her. Nobu was a truly innocent soul but Hachi definitely was manipulative

I have seen and reviewed this soul many times. I like this beautiful friendship, even the love stories that exist. There aren't as many channels that AMV makes with this type of anime. I was pleased to see the scenes again. 😍👌

Although most people hate Takumi, I think he's a good character. Honestly, Hachi is to blame for everything. She never ended her relationship with Takumi. If she had had more character and said she fell in love with a guy (Nobu) and broke up with him by telling him the truth, Takumi would have dealt with it. It actually bothered him a lot that Hachi broke up with him without an explanation, finding out later that she was in a relationship with Nobu. He was the only one who made the right and smartest moves when he found out about Nana's pregnancy. He did not back down to take responsibility and told her that she had to choose what to do. He didn't force her to be with him, Hachi chose Takumi simply for comfort and also because she was always an insecure woman with no future prospects, Nobu despite his love for her was very immature and he too deals with Nana's pregnancy in the wrong way. The first thing he does is accuse her of not telling him anything, while Takumi the first thing he does is take care of her. Takumi was much more mature than Nobu, Hachi is not a woman of character that's why she is attracted to men like Asano and Takumi, because although they are womanizers, they are responsible and give her security. On the other hand, with honest men like Shoji and Nobu, she cannot relate to them because they have little character like her. So they do not give her security. In all, I think Takumi loves Hachi in his own way as he accepts her faults and she accepts his. Also because if they had not loved each other they would probably have stopped at one child, instead they will have a second one. And although Takumi has two affairs with mistresses, especially Leila, he doesn't let her take Hachi's place either. She will always remain his wife.

For material I don't know much about, this song does seem rather fitting for the relationship you're portraying. You've done an excellent job of storytelling as usual! Also, I really enjoy the editing in the first chorus.

It's amazing but it is incredibly sad in some ways - I just want you to know before going into it unsuspectingly. I had no idea how sad it would be and it broke me for MONTHS!

on top of all, thanks for coming out with this wonderful editing! I do think the song fits well with the takumi and hachi's relationship too. it's addictive and irresistible... tbh after reading the manga and understanding the whole story about the characters, takumi and reira are both pathetic one... even though I did not agree the way takumi treated hachi but if seeing him from another angle, actually he lacks of love and he does not how to love. yet, takumi loves hachi just he did not go for the right way. if the author decides to continue the story, I really do hope that hachi and takumi can have a happy ending.

me too. they really love each other actually. Takumi is responsible for Reira. and he didn't want to repeat what happened to Ren. He doesn't have any choice but to shoulder all those responsibilities.
