I was laughing when Elsa was playing Animal Crossing because in a way her everyday life is Animal Crossing 😂 building a house, planting food, making friends with the neighbors. I love it.
My partner also did a month of elk hunting and came home with 3 pheasants at the end. It was still very gratifying to enjoy the pheasant alongside some homegrown veg and potatoes. Living off the land is cool even if it doesn’t always look like you hoped it would ❤

So happy for you guys! It's so fun to dream. Just a suggestion...with all those glass doors, maybe put stickers down low so the dogs don't run through it.. People do it too. Thinking back, yes, our Dog ran through one when I was young. He was ok. And my Oma walked into one.
I glassed In my carport and the first day one of my dogs ran into it, so l put pretty flower decals along the bottom and butterflies near the top so birds wouldn't fly into it. Works perfectly, no animal or person has hit it since 👍

You clean the Berkey filters by pushing water through them backwards. You need pressure behind it. We put on a garden hose on were the water drips out, then turn the water on, and it flushes the crap out of the filter since the water is going backwards to how it normally flows.
Hi guys! Did I hear Estes Park! Been there. it's so beautiful there! yes, there are elk everywhere even in the town in Estes Park. At dusk and early morning. They are so massive in person. So funny to hear about the lions and the bears 'out here'. I live in Sooke, Vancouver Island. We have the highest per capital of cougar in Canada on Vancouver Island, they show up in our city streets her now and Sooke is bear country. We see them in our mobile home park all the time. Both are everywhere. I don't even feel like walking anymore. In fact, I take my husband to the 'burn pile' for garden waste as 'bear bait'. LOL

Hi Elsa Rhae & Barron!! The best soup I ever had in my life was grouse, hunted and made by a friend of ours. He cooked the soup with wild rice & mushrooms served with homemade bread. Super delicious & appreciated. 😋❤
I was born and raised just north of Seattle. I didn't know you could grow your own food and I took four years of horticulture- I learned how good gmo farming was. We just relocated to NWArkansas to fulfill my big dreams of self sufficient homesteading. I think people get upset/offended with bunting because as me, they have NO CLIE where their food is actually coming from. I can't wait to kearn how to hunt. Big goals! We currently have a huge pouktry flock and goats. Next is sheep, hogs and cattle. Great video y'all!!❤

Only time I ever commented on these two was when they where building the house. A simple recommendation to wear boots instead of sandals on a construction site set off the weirdest bunch of negativity I've ever experienced. Been with em since the beginning but that was enough for me. Just trying to help and received the nastiest responses ever
Running around at an altitude of 12,000 feet will knock you off your feet! You can easily get dehydrated and develop some very bad headaches if your not careful. Then add fully loaded back pack and walking up hill in both directions! And if you get some game you have to carry an extra 80lbs of meat back to your trucks! And hope you are not tracked by predator's on the way out! A very challenging hunt to say the least.
To funny yes up here in Montana even the kids get off school opening day of hunting. and as you are all house projects stopped. lol thats awesome the look you gave us inside of home. I dont know yall but i really am so happy for yall and cant wait for winter. you are smart finish outside weather permitting. and save they inside for winter. with that beautiful stove you are good to go. very exciting winter time gives ya just more time to slow down and reset reconnect .thank you for sharing yalls life's with us. it truly is a inspiration for myself and anyone watching. I haven’t been able to order new filters from Berkey for forever they’re always sold out. I did find an alternative filter that works with the Berkey from ProOne that I’m excited to try.
