Joe, you make it look so easy!
Es increíble su trabajo y sus videos son muy ilustrativos
Beautiful helped my shading alot really gives it more life and that is what it is about
Thanks Joe....keep up the great work!
Thank you for this, can’t wait to try it tomorrow!
You’re welcome!
Very helpful 👍👍 Thankyou 😊
Great project!
Love your work and your delivery while teaching. I am learning more and more as I glean from your experience. Thank you for sharing your skills with us.
Where is Clark County and what did you do at the Bible Camp?
Joe, great video
Thank you!
Great video thanks Joe. I have the same shader but I'm getting a bit of choppiness from the front or back edge if i run it for a bit longer shading. More practice i guess. Thanks again.
Id recommend watching ur angle and pressure when finishing off the shading. I dont have a b. king shader but id imagine its better than my one from Tandy haha practice makes perfect.

@@Handles-R-Lame thanks for the advice. I will watch that.....and keep practicing 😬
I like your vids and really like you teaching method. I am just trying to learn tooling I am 66 retired and I have been lasering for hats and bought way to many stamp tools. One big thing concerns me is the price of the leather to tool but still considering .
Joe,
Great Videos I have purchased your patterns doing the “Bull Rider” right now and was wondering #1what weight maul you use for shading I have 2 Barry Halls and love them I know a lot of it is control and practice but just curious.
Also how moist or stage is ideal for shading
Thanks again for your help and Time !
Hey Mike,
Thank you for following along and for your purchase! I use a 20oz maul for my tooling. Search on UA-cam for Joe Meling Casing Leather. There is a video I did for Weaver that goes in great detail on moisture content.
Hello I’m watching the shading video thanks. What sewing machine do you use
I'm very new and only have about a dozen tools to my name. Will this technique work the same way with a pear shader?
how do your lines get so dark...?
What number of chisel to lower the leather
aonde comprar essas ferramentas, qual a numeração delas
When shading my leather, it’s not getting darker, just making the depression. I’ve tried wetting it more but not getting that pretty dark shade
There are three things that will affect the burnishing color. Moisture content in the leather, how hard you hit it, and the quality of leather. I am tooling on Hermann Oak. Many import leathers will be lighter colored and not burnish well.
What’s your maul weight?
