    Very enjoyable, and thank you for not slapping in some cheesy music, like some other videos have done.

    nice video, brilliant camera work. But something tragic must have happened that Swiss Air lost faith in Airbus. When decreasing the A-340 from ten planes to five they did not order the wonderful Airbus A350 XWB. But phoned up Boeing and pow, immediately ordered ten Boeing 777 as a replacement. So probably in the future, the other fifty Airbus planes will be also replaced by Boeings...

      I'm biased towards airbus, but I think this was an rash short term decision. The 777's are generally cheaper and they almost certainly got a discount for multiple planes. But you get what you pay for - the extra cash on some 350's would have been a smarter long term investment, in my opinion. Better passenger experience, they fly Swiss again. I know I'd rather fly as a passenger in a 350 plus all the pilots that are familiar with AB systems/logic. They'd probably choose the 350 too.

      Thanks for providing some context. Glad it’s not a complete change. I still hope they get some 350s, to go with Swiss’ general high quality image

      LeTang I’m not as familiar with the industry as you but as a regular joe flyer I would choose an A350 (or Dreamliner) over a B777, provides the prices are not too far apart. The flight experience is just something else.

    Since they were already in approach and had just received an expedite request from tower, if the TCAS had been triggered and commanded them to climb as a resolution, would they have followed TCAS or the controller?

      TCAS RA has Always the priority!

    At one Time they said "6 tons of fuel left" two minutes later they are only 2.9 tons of fuel left. Also they get a low fuel warning. How do they manage do get the rest of the route and the landing safe? Or am i wrong at some point?

    • @AviationHubOfficial
      @AviationHubOfficial  6 років тому +1

      At 3:50 the 2.980 tons of fuel that you saw was in the left wing tank only, if you look in the right centre tank it says 2.740 tons, so thats about 5.7 tons in total at that point. The low fuel advisory is triggered long before any emergency is to be taken, they were so close to their destination it was clear that they had sufficient fuel.

    Wonder why they are using "flight level" below 180? Found that odd.

    • @tomstravels520
      @tomstravels520 2 роки тому +2

      Because Europe has lower transition levels. Typically about 5-6000. 3000 in Netherlands

    May I know who is the Captain really are? Cause I seem him flied not just A340, but I think I saw the same face that Piloting A330.. Im confused

    • @J.Stein1
      @J.Stein1 6 років тому

      You can fly the A330 and the A340 with the same typerating, the systems are basically the same (except for the number of engines etc.)

    • @ZK-APA
      @ZK-APA Рік тому

      @@J.Stein1 Incorrect. The A330 and A340 have a different type rating (you can't have a common type rating for 2 aircraft with different number of engines).
      However you can do a conversion TR rather than a full TR if you have TR of one airbus aircraft
